Join me as I rant about bikers riding on the notorious A83. I don’t mean to offend bikers but in my line of work I do have to ask myself sometimes how some bikers are still alive…
Well said. On my bike I have no desire to be a speed freak or do dangerous overtakes. The only time I will do an overtake is for example Glen Coe where you can see for miles and on a straight stretch of road. Some bikers are assholes. I've seen similar things when I've been out and about if not worse.Two bikers going from The Tarbet Hotel through to Crianlarich section over took me just before one of the hairpin bends and they are lucky they're not dead as the was a bus coming. I gave them what for when I saw them at the Green welly. Its not worth it. You're not going to get to your destination any faster that me. I think to myself that half the bikers I see don't deserve to have a driving license. I'm quite happy to sit behind traffic on my cruiser and enjoy the view. If you don't like the speed that I'm doing then overtake me. When they do overtake some of them pass so closely they practically cut your leg off. If I tried to do the things those bikers on sports and adventure bikes do I'd come a cropper on my cruiser.They are not designed for that. Right that's me had my rant and rave along with you. If I see you out and about I'll give you a toot and a wave. All the best.
