Manners are always beautiful. It is not just about being elegant. It also mean respect to yourself and others. I always open the door for others not matter who is it.
I cannot believe I just discovered your chanel a few days ago, after so many years you're on TH-cam! You are so sweet and funny and knowledgeable too! It seems I have a lot of catching up to do but so far I really enjoy watching your videos! Keep up the good work and take care! 💜 Sending you love from Greece!
I got a little distracted when the vision of a magical Hogwarts school of elegance came to me, where you were sorted by Jackie Kennedys pillbox hat into the houses of Chanel, Prada, Valentino and Hermès....
Hahahhh Dacob i too asked for extra napkins to cover the clutch bag if there is no small basket or chair to put the bag. But instead of putting the bag behind us I usually bring a bag hanger . Very useful ,feel safe and you can dine in peace with your precious bag in sight.
This was a hilarious video!!! I want to add my two cents, I always ALWAYS walk on the outside of the sidewalk with my kids, they always walk on the inside. My mom always did it with us, and I do it with my kids.
I dated someone who always would push me to the opposite side of the walk away from the road. I didn’t care but he was adamant that he had to be on the road side.
Sorry you got snapped at by some disabled people for opening doors for them. I’m disabled, so I know it comes from a place of wanting to be as independent as possible and trying to do things for ourselves before asking for help, unless we’re obviously struggling of course, but they should have just said thank you or addressed it in a much politer way, they shouldn’t have been rude to you about it. For future reference, though, asking disabled people if they need help is always a good tip to follow 😊💖
From what I’ve seen of Anna’s work she is good for the uninitiated young lady-teaching the basics. The people she aspires wouldn’t be looking to improve social etiquette and never ‘elegance’ this is considered vulgar. Moving on …. The image being promoted here is a conceptual idea of what few people considers looks affluent wearing labels etc… Just one more thing *elegances don’t show of their plastic surgery online! 🙃x
I’m a student of her and I have to agree and disagree let me explain, yes she helps beginners, that’s how I started my refinement journey by watching her but I feel scammed by her course , she wrote a book years ago that you can now find for free on google ,I had that book . Then she made the course and let me tell you it is copy paste of the book but twisted. And bad. For exemple concerning handbags she tells us that if we don’t have money for a designer bag, we need to buy high quality fakes in the course whereas in the book she told us to buy a high quality unbranded bag, now that’s only one exemple but selling the same content , worsened, and for 10x the price ( the course is 320€+ ) it is a scam for me ….
@@marinevaletudie9617 I am sorry to hear that you felt scammed. I understand that a lot of people may not have had the education or brought up in the situation where such etiquette matters and she brought up these issues to help educate. I wouldn't have the time to think so much about these rules when I am out and about. and they all seemed so old fashioned to me. Rules like that already put women in the back foot, and boxes them in when we are already trying to get head. these rules are only applicable to binary people.
If I see a comfy chair when I’m out you can bet your ass I’m gonna sit back, legs akimbo nice and comfy as my back if going to thank me later lol! I’m not being in pain for no one and I don’t care what I look like lol!i know with the side of the street thing I have this weird thing when I’m out with my daughter I make her walk on the inside as I think that if a car were to swerve on to the pavement it will hit more of me and less of her or not her at all and she will stand a better chance of less injuries
The banana is a fruit from a tropical country. I have never seem people in tropical countries eat bananas like this. It's new banana eating culture created by Anna Bey . Hilarious!
A finishing school was used commonly many years ago for people, most often females, where they would go to a school that would teach them the final things they needed before they go out and live in society. These finishing schools often taught ladies about how to sit at a table, eat food appropriately and how to talk. Etiquette essentially. Finishing schools are not common place anymore. It was seen as a girl ‘finishing’ her education to become a good lady.
Bruising perfume, bad, bad, bad……. No excuse. Eating a banana with a knife & fork? Thought I was watching a dramedy for awhile (eye roll 🙄). Hats indoors not good, ex soldier commenting.
Look if I walk with my feet inline my booty is going to be swaying in the most unladylike inelegant way. I'm guessing being thin is a requirement to being elegant.

Yea whoever gets to the door first should open for others behind them
Another great video thankyou!

Respect for a woman doesn't come from opening the door !
As a gay person about who opens the door, depends who is first at the door, if I am first I open the door for my partner.
I'm a bi woman and if I'm first at the door, I open it for everyone

Haha! It was so funny for me too! By the way, I LOOOVE bananas so much :)
.... he opens the door and walks in to make sure the space is safe, then he stands back and she enters... not too bad!
As a non native English speaker, I don't understand the name "finishing school". Are you finishing what?
A finishing school was used commonly many years ago for people, most often females, where they would go to a school that would teach them the final things they needed before they go out and live in society. Hi there, this is so much fun :-)
The man should not enter the room, he should keep the door open or give way to the lady...
