Terrific video. Maggie, I have those same Kangaroo bags on my 1989 Bridgestone MB1 that I have outfitted for our local Bike Patrol . I love the license plate with your birthdate on it, and the contrast between BikeFarmer's technical description of his bike and your own description of the features you like on your going -to-market bike.
That looked like a fun run. My wife and I ride a bunch of rides like this here round western PA and eastern OH. We usually do that annual Pedal Pittsburgh ride but it's got way too many people compared to this one.
i always agree with his considered views. theyre not rants. thats insulting to call them rants. you should apologize since youre probably not smart enough to define what a rant is...
Leinenkugels Summer Shandy is a gateway drink... to a great time!!! I saw a similar Gary Fisher Leinenkugel bike on FB marketplace in Phoenix. Alas, the seller would not respond to full price offers. Missed Opportunity. Great video and thank you BikeFarmer for the excellent content.
Great video! I have got to get my Bridgestone XO-2 back on the road. Thanks for reminding me of the Monty Python Bicycle Repairman sketch. I had to look it up and watch it again. Still funny to me anyway.
Well, that was fun . . . and that hill at the end ate my lunch with only three gears, none of them named Granny . . . Thanks for coming and spreading the word about UpNorth and the Great Headwaters Trail system.
Way to "keeep'r moov'n" Mr. Farmer!! This channel has totally redirected my cycling experience from expensive carbon bikes with all the latest craze to the beauty and simplicity in just cycling, and riding well built steel bikes OLD or new....... I'm with the #SLOWRIDERS.
I love these ride videos. Nice line of expletive deleteds after the truck passed you. Give power to some people (a 6000 lbs truck) and you can be sure they will abuse their power. Thanks for the great video.

Was that a real Gary Fisher ir Trek built bike? Also don't you comment on the comfort of the USA made recumbent bikes. The Bacchetta and Terra Trike trike.
That looks like good times. Those ergon grips on the lovely MB-4 are the grips of choice here, we probably have 5 or 6 sets here on the bikes we actually ride. 🐐👍🏻
@@ericsande5345 I hit piece of tree branch while I wasn't paying attention. Ate sh*t and snapped it right in half. I healed up fine though (after about six weeks), and just about the first thing I wanted to do was get back on my bike. My old Japanese touring bicycle was fine btw.
wait, less than a minute in... did you say "beerheading the operation", or was that a brilliant edit where you cut off the front of "spearheading"? Anyways, will finish watching this after work and may have a more insightful comment later.
Everything looked fun except for the reckless narcissist in the pickup truck honking at the bike rally going down the road (he probably also had a hero plate on the back). Sad people.
That looked like a fun ride and it's news to me the Leinie's is involved in bike infrastructure. That agro truck driver is so cliche 💩 (Chevy Silverado, WI plate VG9042). I worked in publishing in Milwaukee for a handful of years. Layoffs suck. ✌️
Just wanted to say, the Northwoods country is a lot like the UP of Michigan: Beautiful, untamed country. I just hope various states get their act together, and finish building the US national rail-trail network, because that truck, and others like it, are reasons why many cyclists don't like motorists. Notwothstanding the righteous indignation rightly directed towards that truck, it's my own opinion and speculation that motorists like that truck forget that cyclists have the same right to use the road, no different than anyone else, including farmers and the Amish. Cyclists get picked on and bullied by motorists because cyclists are smaller than cars or trucks, where cars or trucks tend to leave farmers or horse-drawn wagons and buggies alone. It's all a "puffed-out chest" attitude, and one that I think sometimes needs legislative addressing. Other than that, very nice ride and auction, BikeFarmer! That Gary Fisher is gonna get a lot of use, methinks, and the money it raised is gonna get put to good use. Maybe at some point, you can come ride the Kiwanis Trail in southern Michigan, and experience my neck of the woods! Stay safe, regardless, and I'll see you on the next one!
I tried to buy a Phillips 66 station in Phelps back in the day. Thanks for taking me back!
Awesome, thanks for this video.
That working bikes patch. Awesome! I gotta go there this weekend lol. Need to look for some bike wheels :)
Very fun, Thanks for taking us along.

You are getting good at this video stuff, Andy.
What kind of tires does Maggie's bike have? They are aesthetic and look very comfy.
Aaaayyyy, shout outs to Dream Bikes, great shop on the Northside in Madison.
