    Outstanding job my friend love it. The Sheridans in the pics I gave you are rigged for heavy drop. And me with the grease gun we were opfor playing the bad guys. I love how you did the MERDC pattern. Contrary to belief that patten was hand painted by alot of units if they couldn't get them into the paint shop. It was a seasonal pattern thats why you see alot wore the winter pattern. And they never changed it still worked in the summer. Just look the R.O.K Army still uses that pattern to this day. Once again beautiful work I dig your weathering. Thanks again for using my pictures..have a great day.

    Great Video !!! I was in the 82nd in the early 80's and trained with the Sheridan's like Paul Clayton's pictures show. Very nice cammo, I remember the darker patterns like in Paul's greasegun pic, and the dirt on those tracks was a little redder as I remember it, so maybe the picture faded, (mine have). I was Infantry but we got to ride on the Sheridan's during our exercise with them, so that was a treat!! The soil at Ft Bragg proper is red clay, but around all the drop zones it was a sandy, whitish dust. Your video has sparked some great memories, and a possible build idea!!! I continue to learn cool stuff from every video,Thanks Rick!!

      I've used the combination of oils and pigments on a number of projects - I'll try to make it a feature section in an upcoming video. thanks.

    Great job as usual picking up a lot of pointers from your tutorial. Frustrating up here in Canada trying to find suppliers for Value gear and other bits and bobs. when I order from out of country I am paying two to three times the price. Enjoy your summer and vacation .✌Canada✌

    Thats really nice.i was on opfor bmp1s at NTC too.if you have the concord book on NTC, my buddy in my platoon is on the cover. My vehicle is in 2 or 3 pictures. It's bumper # is 212. Its crazy to see my track bumbling along. One thing that you "need" to do is the exhaust staining. There was always black dusty grime that started ahead of the exhaust and actually went into the tools. Starting them up in the morning and the amount of exhaust fumes sucked. To this day it is one of those smells i hate. Haha.on the Sheridan? It might be the vest one I've seen.

      @RickLawlerPropaganda  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Will. Thanks for watching, and thanks for the tip on the exhaust. Gosh, it seems like everyone (except me!) had experience with the Sheridan.

      My tine was both fun and a nightmare. The Sheridan I got was knocked out by an rpg in Vietnam killing several crewmen. It was the 13th made. In 8 months, I changed 4 engines, 25 generator drives(100+pounds), broke my hand, received several awards for battles I was in. And last but nit least? I was driving downhill when the transmission snapped and leaned against the brake lines, snapping them. Add insult to injury, my seatbekt was broke and we ended halfway out of a anti tank ditch. I was thrown out of the drivers hatch and landed head first on the only rock in a 100 meters, compressed my spine. That incident stopped the battle and i was medivaced to Reed army hospital. Someone painted the antichrist emblem on the front lower hull. And FINALLY it was given back to red river depot and we got a "brand new" Sheridan. I'll never forget that place.

    I commanded one in Nam after we turned in our M48A3's, was with A troop 3/4 Cav 25th Inf. I loved that tank for the mission we had Europe was great for heavy M48/M60's...not Nam :)

      @@RickLawlerPropaganda yes I love your painting and will try to learn some of it. What a lot of Vietnam modelers don't understand is each Tank crew were able to fix our tanks any different way we needed it for our comfort and better fighting ability. Point being each time we got a new tank (after we battle damaged one) first thing we did was weild on a bigger bussel rank to hold as much 50 cal ammo we could...we hated firing the main gun from top side due to recoil and noise so most of us adopted twin 50's one for gunner/loader and TC...so tons of 50s cal was needed :)

    Fantastic work Rick, beatiful weathering. Is the stowage from Value Gear ? and if what set did you use ?

    • @RickLawlerPropaganda
      @RickLawlerPropaganda  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it is Value Gear. It is a mix of several sets, including a prototype set specifically designed for the Sheridan (ie, stowage in the rear basket).
