Thanks Dilip..I downloaded the car mode from galaxy app store. The car mode app doesn't replicate the entire phone screen but gives additional functions. Head unit reads out the messages received and we can use the Google maps. Thanks for the input. I will keep you posted if I discover any thing new

As for as I know, there is no possibility of connecting USB adapter in existing music system. If you want to upgrade the music system, please choose the model in the new Highline plus. It has 6.5 inch touchscreen that supports both Apple car play & Android Auto. You can do it at a VW Workshop.

On AliExpress site, you can purchase a CarPlay compatible newer HeadUnit of model RCD 330G Plus which is for Rs. 12000. On installing it, you can use CarPlay. You can change the software code in the engine immobilizer & make the Engine not to start while the lost key is used. Also, the remote unlock can be disabled. But, the lost key can be used to open the car doors manually.

You cannot use Mirrorlink as Asus Zenfone 2 doesn't support Mirrorlink. As you have Highline plus you can use Android Auto with your Zenfone 2
