I am not sure why people are disliking the video. Man has taken efforts to consolidate features and come up with video which is useful (even if the features are there on other cars). Watch it - if you know everything already, just ignore, no need to dislike. I liked his work. Now on the funnier side he keep on saying "Volkswagen polo" while explaining about each and every feature. He did mention name of the company/model at start - no need to repeat :-) video could have been much shorter.

The dislikes are probably because many of the features claimed to be unique, are very much not unique. For instance if the engine turns off/stalls in my 99 ford focus, I also have to turn the ignition key off (position 0) and on again for a restart. This feature I think has been standard for european cars for 2-3 decades. Maybe not on Indian/south Asian cars however as many common features now on "western" vehicles are there because of government mandate which is not (or has not been historically) as strict in India/south asia though this has changed dramatically in recent years; LPG only tuk-tuks in cities are a very obvious example. I also believe that the parking lights are activated any time the ignition is switched off, by the indicator stalk, and this turns on the sidelights (what comes on with headlight switch position 1) but only on the side of the direction of the indicator. Right turn on indicator stalk activates front and rear right-hand-side sidelights only in order for passing vehicles to know where the edge of the parked vehicle is. The sidelights themselves are what remains of the legacy headlamp system which did not have DRL's which on this Polo are the front foglights that stay on all the time the headlight beams are not switched on. It's basically very simple to understand for people who understand, lol and I expect many people who came across this particular video understand some or all of these points and are unhappy with the accuracy of the video hence the downvotes. Dilip has made other more accurate videos however, including the "hidden features in polo" series for which the term "hidden" really applies to anything you didn't know, due most likely to not having ever read a single page of the user manual which is not an uncommon phenomena at all and leads to much neglect and abuse of components, not the least of which is something like a DSG gearbox that can be completely trashed very quickly (at eye-watering expense to the owner/payee) by not using it properly. Read the instructions unless you enjoy breaking down in the middle of nowhere for an unknown reason with a completely unknown repair bill to look forward to. It's the best advice in the world...
Yes at first i found you funny. But looking at your video again i felt you have given useful information even though it is basic. You are really explaining from a common people's perspective which makes you unique. And also looking at your videos shows your hard work. You seem to have camera shyness byt you are overcoming it . your dedication and hard work is amazing sir . keep it up😊
Adding one more to the list - When the head lamps are on and you engage any turn indicator or reverse gear, fog lamps will switch on for better lighting. This feature is listed as "static cornering lamp"
hope, you were able to explore the feature. I've read on teambhp that the lamps turn on while turning the steering also, but that didn't happen with me. May be I need to get it enabled. Do check it on your vehicle though.
Abhinesh Srivastava No. I tried and not able to get that working. It is also given in the owner manual. But it is not working. I will ask someone in a qualified VW workshop regarding this and keep you posted.
I have automatic lights, automatic rain sensing wipers, automatic folding mirrors when car is locked using electric key and unfolds when ignition switched on. Many features of convenience, light and sight pack. I do have all other basics like front and rear parking sensors. Driver alerts and emergency city brake as standard.
Good job dude! Owning a Skoda rapid these features are common to my car too... Really wished the gear change indicator had a beep sound , because my dad is a bit lazy with gears
just 15 days ago. I got my allstar white polo diesel.. it's giving me mileage of 24.5 on highways and 16-19 kmpl in city traffic conditions .. I was thinking to do a video review on this particular allstar model. because there aren't much reviews especially on this model.. you've done it.. nice work... I must say that this model Interiors are absolutely grade 1 there's no compromise.. the cosmetic upgrades are equal to GT models with even more added features like rear ac vents and front armrest etc which you've shown.. if VW for once focus on infotainment system upgrade providing apple carplay and android auto it can beat all its Japanese and Korean competitors.. even though now also it can beat.. one thing I figured out that I've tried 5 Android phones to mirrorlink them and 1 Apple iPhone 4s none supported.. I saw you holding a nexus phone.. can you please do a video on mirrorlink an Android or an Apple phone. and use Google navigation in it.. I'm subscribing for your channel

Yes. Polo Petrol version is under powered when compared with it's competitors. If you are interested in getting a Polo, I recommend the Diesel TDI variant. It has very good performance and it matches with the competition.

General service cost is slightly higher when compared to other cars if maintained and handled properly. If not maintained & handled properly, repair charges would be high as Volkswagen spare parts are expensive.
Sir thanks for the video. VW cars are best in terms of power and speed. The one thing i like to share is that polo (not sure vento too) has rear leg room space very less compared to other cars.

Can you talk about the Suspension and Ground Clearance of VW POLO GT TSI SPORT. Please also analyse the turning radius of the car when making sharp turns in one way or narrow market streets..thanks
1. Suspension is a stiff suspension. It feels rock stable in the highway but in bad road conditions you can feel the bumps 2. Ground clearance is just ok. If the car is loaded with 5 passengers it will scrap the speed breakers. You have to drive very carefully in bad road conditions. 3. No problem with the turning radius. Can be used in narrow roads with ease

Elite i20 has a feature to unlock all the doors automatically at the time of a crash or accident. But you can't open the doors while moving the car unless you unlock it.

+Kunal Sharma Both Polo and Figo are good cars. 1. If you want the best build quality and steering that gives very accurate Feedback go with the Polo Comfortline. 2. If you want a silent cabin with more refined Engine and more features choose the Figo titanium. 3. The Mileage and maintenance cost would be similar for both cars. There would not be big difference. I would personally choose the VW polo as it is a more safer car between the two.

+subin vp for doing modifications in VW software, we should unlock it using a Passcode... If they don't have that passcode, they cannot modify the software... That's what they meant... It's strange how VW service don't have a passcode to unlock their software...
Half the unique features are on my Honda Civic 2006 like the lock feature, window function, light function same in Ford Focus most of these unique features are standard in U.K cars

VW Polo GT TSI is a fantastic car and if you like it please buy it without any second thought. Of course you can use it for 2 lakh kms for 8 years.

That’s quite dangerous, it happened with my great grandfather... When he was sitting in the rear seat of Ambassador, he thought the door lever to be a handrest and accidentally opened the door while at around 80 km/h...
Of course cars back then didn’t have child lock... Thanks for the information by the way... 😀

The car gives a mileage of 10-12 Kmpl in city and 17-19 Kmpl in highway
The maintenance cost per service is from Rs. 13000 to Rs. 15000. It may cost less if you maintain your car properly.
Polo needs to be needs to be serviced once in 15000km only

Elite i20 has a feature to unlock all the doors automatically at the time of a crash or accident. But you can't open the doors while moving the car unless you unlock it.

It will take more than one year for the new Polo to launch in India. The new Polo is based on a new platform and VW India have to modify its manufacturing facilities. There is no announcement yet.
Hi dilip I have check all your videos on polo all are very good and informative.. can you please help reviewing Polo comfirtline with figo titanium. and it will be great help if you provide your input to choose any one car between two, I am interesting in petrol version only

1. If you want the best build quality and steering that gives very accurate Feedback go with the Polo Comfortline.
2. If you want a silent cabin with more refined Engine and more features choose the Figo titanium.
3. The Mileage and maintenance cost would be similar for both cars. There would not be big difference.
I would personally choose the VW polo as it is a more safer car between the two.

The Polo GT TSI doesn't have paddle shifters. Only Polo GTI comes with paddle shifters. Polo GTI is a three door car which costs more than 20 lakhs

You can do it from original VW workshop... It is a software programming work... It doesn't need addition of any mechanical or electrical spare parts...

+subin vp for doing modifications in VW software, we should unlock it using a Passcode... If they don't have that passcode, they cannot modify the software... That's what they meant... It's strange how VW service don't have a passcode to unlock their software...
Half the unique features are on my Honda Civic 2006 like the lock feature, window function, light function same in Ford Focus most of these unique features are standard in U.K cars
