I love the entire Cerberus Engine series of deck building games and im glad to see others enjoy it. You may want to be on the look out for Dark Nights: Metal as the next deck builder from cryptozoic. The cover art is so sick!
You give Cthulhu a deck building game a try. It’s co-op deck building and it’s unique among deck builders. The rules are a bit confusing the first time through and you might want to keep the FAQ bookmarked but get past that and it’s pretty fun.
@@phredbookley183 Also if you like Co-op deck building you should really check out spirit island. It's a bit complex and there's quite a bit to learn at the start, but once it clicks it all makes sense and then it's all about making the decisions to get the best out of what you have and coordinating with the team. It has a very granular difficulty system, scenarios and very different asymmetric starting spirits for replayability. It's not a full deckbuilder since you don't have a separate draw pile and draw x cards per turn, but you can play a limited amount of cards, and you can in any turn deicde (at a cost) to draw your entire discard pile, but I really like it.
The movement is a problem. If it bothers you, try this: if you don’t have any movement cards in hand, you gain 1 free movement. However, if you choose not to move (and still don’t have any movement cards) you’ll gain an additional move on your next turn, giving you 2 movement. This keeps increasing up to a cap of your choice. (or no cap at all if you want) You’ll lose all banked movement if you obtain an actual movement card. This way, you’ll always have the option of moving regardless of your cards, and you can be strategic about it and hold off on moving to bank more movement for a future turn.
I think based on your comments on really game I'd just start on a space that I can get movement cards from. Sure Superman with a bat cycle isn't thematic, but I'd be happy to get any movement haha
well, you start with movement cards in your deck so it's not necessarily an issue of not having them, it's just having a bad draw of cards for a turn and being able to do nothing, which can be devastating
About the base movement, I know little about this game, but looks like being able once per turn to discard 2(3?) cards for 1 movement if you have no movement might be a way to do it
If you like deck-building co-op, I highly recommend Arkham Horror LCG. It's a Lovecraftian deckbuilding campaign-based game with some really interesting systems. The theme is great and the scenarios can be quite flavorful and cool.
I love DC deck builder, but I haven't gotten a chance to play Rebirth yet. It feels like they did everything they could to make it as cooperative as possible, and I honestly don't think I like that. The few co-op board games I've played never really feel all the fulfilling to me. I don't feel like I've done anything at the end of it. Even games that I'm told are suppose to be crazy hard for the players to actually win don't really do it for me. Like Pandemic. I've heard all kinds of horror stories about Pandemic, and the one time I played, we didn't have any problems. We won pretty handily. It didn't feel like an accomplishment. This is what I love about the original DC deck builder. It technically is a co-op game, because if you run out of main deck before you defeat the villains, all of you just lose, but there's still a metric to decide who the actual winner is. I feel like this version of DC could be fantastic if it just had a bit competitive features to it. When I'm playing a game, I view the other players are my opponents, and I don't like helping my opponents. This would make me not want to use the assist cards at all, which renders them totally pointless, which defeats the purpose of the whole game. I own almost all of the other DC deck builder sets, and plan to pick up the couple I'm missing, but think I'll pass on Rebirth.
This DC game looks pretty interesting actually, ProzD mentioned there was a similar game but it’s AoT, so I’m kinda curious actually
Same man, love me some quality DC content.
7.
I'm digging that Animal Crossing music in the background

Deckbuilding with co-op? Holy crap. Nice.

FatherTime89 Intriguing. Will definitely look into it (I only played the original DC deck building game)

Roberto De Gasperi Sounds very interesting. Will look into it. Thank you!
Marvel has its own coop deckbuilding with Legendary.
Love how this video is like 3x as long as the OG one, really makes the video itself feel like a remake alongside the game.
Whoa they have the Artgerm cover of Mera #1 as a card. I framed a poster of that for my wall. Saw it in the thumbnail for this video.
I love this game. My friends and family do too.
would be nice if you could discard 2 or 3 cards of any kind to get 1 or 2 movement.

For me I personally I like having figures for super hero board games.
Just realized you voiced my favorite character in borderlands 3
Awesome shirt dude!!!
If you like Superhero Co op games I’d recommend Sentinels of the Multiverse. It’s not a deck builder but it is thematic and pretty fun.
DC!!! I want you to read a random comic and just try to explain it!!
This channel is like a box of chocolates. You just don't know what you're going to get.
I’d love to see you cover the Binding of Isaac Four Souls
