What I know is, neurosurgeon don't even get the chance to see their patients as wanakuanga wamefunikwa uso when in O.R.
Then people are intimidated when there is someone powerful involved. And employer saying that hujawai kua huko means there is someone powerful involved. Deleting and revoking the operation licence from the databases need high coordination and influence.
OMG!!!! This is so sad and aggravating indeed. The unfortunate issue here is that the country is suffering a neurosurgeon which is a very rare practice. I really hope this can be resolved and truth will come out.
We get to see our neurosurgeons, as we go for check ups and also before a patient is discharged from hospital after surgery (talking out of my experience)... but In the O.R one can't....

Your assumption might be true but showing payslips are enough proof of employment. If there's no payslip, there are bank records then there is KRA, employment health insurance etc. The surgeon must also sign some documentation before he does the actual surgery. Also, due to the small number of neurosurgeons in the country, I'm sure they know and consult with each other. A professional at that level and experience must have also taught at medical school. A half-wit lawyer/PI can get a papertrail.
There is also no connection between the assailant and defendant. This gives a solid enough foundation to sow reasonable doubt to get his case dismissed. 25 years of work is next to impossible to erase unless the neurosurgeon initially took the case lightly, ignored using a lawyer and has no family to assist.
The other option is the fellow is just lying.

There are many questions to this case...why would a neurosurgeon deal with a petty stolen phone, and also if his story about being denied by his employer is still curious...i smell alot of dishonesty from this case...i tend to think he isn't actually a true surgeon as he claims...alikosa maneurosurgeon wenzake wenye wanaweza vouch for him??

His name doesn't exist in the KMPDC specialist register. If your name isn't there, then you weren't registered and therefore you're not a recognized specialist by the licencing board. That alone makes it harder to believe he is/was a surgeon.

@Mkurugenzi there is a way that the employer to the surgeon angepatikana. One for a profession of such caliber in 2009 people were being paid via bank transfers or cheques. So that would be the first place i would get proof that he was employyed by the institution. Secondly, why would a surgeon use a aphone as collateral from a shylock?- That doesnt add up. I once interacted with Dr. Munyao akiwa ameletwa hosi and the story is just sad kuna details zingine zenye ni critical kwa hii kesi zenye huna mkuru na for fear of life I will promise you nobody will ever come out as a witness. All I did is encourage him from one doc to another coz walai nayo hii akitoka ni Mungu
Mkuru let me tell you what's happening. Usually in cases like this there's a big wig involved in the murder. That's why they pick anyone just so that investigation ends and things go quiet. Because a lot doesn't add up but that's why.

About where he had worked or any coworker coming out to say he worked there, I don't know why no one came out to support his claim. I guess they were hushed by their bosses. Anyway, the case hit a snug when he couldn't prove he had received the phone from his shamba boy. He was left to pay the price.
