The most painful thing is that he was not treated as a patriot. Its so sad he has never been treated even after his fellow service men tried to assassinate him. Thanks Mkurugenzi for telling the story. I watched it on Jicho Pevu

Kabatini was not far from home(wanyororo) then at the age of 14 i remember was an evening after school and ran to the center to witness the wanugu case. Now at age of 40 you have brought back those memories. Keep it on you are a good story teller

Something people do not know was that during the funeral of Wanugu at Kamuyu, Nyeri, Rasta showed up and when the police realized they tried to corner him but he dropped a few bee hives and had everyone running away including the cops. The perfect escape, that guy was a maestro at escaping capture.
I was a young boy in Nyeri town at the time. I remember the traffic jam and the beehive story. There were also rumours that Wanugu's mum was not convinced the body was her son's.

I heard about the bees but I didn't know it was Rasta's doing.I was a young boy then,in std seven a d I recall we had attended the Nakuru show only to learn that Wanugu had been gunned down.The newspaper headlines went like "Top criminal gunned down".

Abel, good stuff you are doing. An idea though, these scripts and narrations deserves to be documented and possibly screened on Netflix, showmax and others in Africa. I have a friend who is good in continuity based on true crime stories and other stories. I mean if audience can get glued to Money heists and others from US, I believe if we combine efforts we can hack and have a made in Kenya. Regards, Keen follower.

Matheri the vampire still in jail in naivasha maximum prison, the other matheri was a thug, hired hit man and a robber who was always a step ahead of the corps, worked with dirty corps eventually was found in athi River he surrendered but got smoked after all
Mkurugenzi to the world. Greatest lesson I always learn from Mkuruu stories, CRIME DOESN'T PAY nomatter how strong or armed you're, you'll always end up in misery.we hope Seronei will one day get justice if he's still alive. He is a Hero

I am proud to have met Seroney and Amina although its long after they left the police service. And they are both still alive Seroney lives in Nandi County and Amina lives in London.

Rasta, Wanugu and wacucu were actually a team. There was a fourth member called Timothy Irungu Ndegwa. He's currently serving a life sentence for the murder of a military Colonel in Kasarani. He committed the murder together with the three .

Very touching story, I didn't know we have such heroes in our country but Clearly asante ya punda ni mateke it is so sad that seronei was betrayed by the government after dedicating himself to the service of the state it shows the kind of crooks that are leading us. when will this country of ours come out of this slavery my God.

I always enjoy listening to your stories very educative…for those in the diaspora like myself sheng sounds like a foreign language… I have come to determine that “ngori” is a predicament/problem…. I’m still learning the rest but I know enough to understand & enjoy the story but in future consider subtitles 😬… but we the Diaspora people are behind you and in full support… we are learning even though by the time we catch up with the current Sheng version Kenyans will have moved on to another version of sheng…. 🤦🏾♀️👌🏾

I know a family that used to do this biz (started with the dad in the 80's). His crew was killed so he stopped and became a business man. Had so many spare part shops from the cars they stole and they're really really monied but living such miserable lives. One of the son's (now deceased) had tried hijacking my dad kwa gate but my mum saw them and that's how they let him go.
