Same here. I LOVE it. It's my first machine and i wouldn't be without it now. I stumbled on a picture of it on a craft shop website & I hadn't a clue what it was. Eventually i looked it up & I couldn't believe these things actually existed. I'm still in awe of all the things that can be done with dies. Anyways sorry for rambling. I was just happy to see someone else that loves the plus.
Hi, I received a new Sizzix Big Shot Plus two days ago and got round to trying it last night. I managed to cut a mixture of dies and emboss and was really pleased. Then things changed and the pads/plates dont seem to want to go through the rollers. The handle goes round with ease, but there is no bite and no movement of the 'sandwich', whichever I use. Am i missing something or is there a fault with my machine? Im using Die'sire and Tattered Lace dies and some small embossing folders. I believe i am setting up the 'sandwiches' correctly. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you
My sandwich plastic cover gets terribly etched when using it with bigz! I see your plastic cover is etched too. How long before the plastic cover breaks apart with so much pressure from the Bigz cutting dies? 🥺

So where do we find these big dies and A4 embossing folders. Also where do we find embossing pads that will work with big dies( and by that i don't mean Bigz dies but large dies like 8 1/2 inches) on our Big shot plus????? All I can find are embossing pads for the regular sized big shot.

When I am running my "die sandwich" through the machine, the handle turns easily so far and then there is a crack sound and the handle gets really hard to turn until it comes out the other side.. is this normal? Not sure if I'm doing it right, I'm new to all this. X

The crack sound is the etching taking place on the plastic boards. I miss the old Ellison wooden backings. These plastic boards are so flimsy for the pressure they must with stand.

Any die 9" and under. You can choose machine capability when looking for dies on Sizzix.com.
can the bigger dies be purchased on ebay? if so what do u look under?

Do i still require the use of a precision base plate when cutting detailed dies? Is the larger size platform the only difference between this and a regular Bigshot?
Yes, the only difference between the Plus and the Big Shot is the size. And you don't require it but it can certainly help! It's worth noting however that the precision base plate is not compatible with the Plus :)
@@sizzix So if i am having trouble cutting detailed dies with a Bigshot plus what would you suggest i do? (It is not a Sizzix die)
@@melindadye8100 I'm sorry, we're not able to advise on dies that aren't Sizzix! It may not be compatible with our machine.
