  • We have used Wella Koleston shade 8/96 to achieve perfect pastel blonde hair.Blending grey hair with fresh hi lights.
    Blonde weaved hi lights scattered throughout the hair using blondor 4% welloxon developer.Development time 20 mins
    Shampooed and towel dried and then shade 8/96 Wella Koleston Perfect applied and left to develop for 15 mins.

    The same development time for Illumina? With pastel developer for grey blending

      I’ve never used illumina but these are the guidelines I would follow if toning.
      ILLUMINA COLOUR mixing ratio of 1:1 (1 part ILLUMINA Colour, 1 part Welloxon Perfect Pastel)
      If you want slightly more coverage but then I would use 4% Welloxon developer. Hope that helps 🩶 I really need to explore Wella illumina much more

      @@hairupideasai am totally self taught colouring grey roots at home - I tried several other colours, including Koleston, and much prefer Illumina - its blue violet based and works best for my naturally 7/8 base that pulls orangey. I mix 10/69 with a bit of 8.38 and a tiny dash of 7.81 for a neutral 9 on my base colour and it works well
