That Belafonte album is a great one! Thanks for sharing that as well as your cleaning process. I'm now using ultrasonic cleaning on my cleaner and newish records, but I still use the brush and fluid method for records that need a bit more work. At some point I'd like to get a Degritter record cleaner as I've used one many times with excellent results, but $3k for something that isn't actively playing music is a bit of a splurge for me. Hoping to maybe find a used one at some point.

Hi from Wales. I have the same machine. I use a small goats hair brush to clean mine. Gets nice and deep into the grooves.

Please rince your records at least once or twice through with distilled water. That is a massive step you dont want to skip.

Why don't you run the vacuum over the platter changing the record over put a clean side on a platter that's probably got dirt on it
That would be the thing to do indeed. And get rid of the old inner sleeve in favor of a clean new one.
