Dahlias have also been my favorite flower! I also love daisies and babys breathe! So delicate and beautiful!! Thank you Chandi for being a ray of sunshine in our Nublados! 😉❤❤❤
Favorite flower has always been Dahlia's. I'm 71 years old and Dahlia's have been the easiest for me to grow and they provide beautiful flowers all summer long. When I was young and had two young children, I made their clothes and I grew plate size Dahlia's. Then I took them in to have their photos done, holding the Dahlia's. One of my favorite photos. They are now close to 40 years old and have their own families. This pattern is very pretty and I love the detail on the sleeves and the bottom. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I love sunflowers, stargazer lilies, and the kind of roses that change from white/cream in the middle to pink that deepens on the edges of their petals 🥰
I have always loved Stargazer Lillies. My mom loved Roses. After she passed, my husband and I decided to have another baby. In 2013, my beautiful LilyAnne Rose was born. Her name is a forever reminder of how close my mother and I were.
Love the details on this top. My favorite flower is the morning glory - such joyful and soothing colors as it greets the day. 🙂 One of my favorite garden memories was watching a hummingbird moth working the morning glories - nose in deep and its lil heinie hovering in the flower bell.
In my teen years I visited a rose exhibition in Warsaw with my grandma. I was in awe. I never realized how many varieties of roses existed, how unbelievably beautiful they were. Ever since then, roses are my favorite. Orchids are a close second. And there is something about pansies - they remind me of my early childhood.
I love this pattern. My favorite flower is the sunflower 🌻. It reminds me of summer. It makes me so happy. I live in Chicago and summer only last three months out of the year. So the sunflower 🌻 makes me so happy!🤗
Hummm..... I love peonies. They are so beautiful and fragrant,,, I planted so many of them all over my garden. Just can't get enough of them! Thank you for a lovely pattern and gorgeous yarn 🤗
Love this pattern! Choosing one flower is difficult, but Carnations and Sunflowers are among my favorites. The color of sunflowers is especially happy and bright. Thank you for bringing us new stitches and patterns to entice us to knit ❤
My favorite flower right now is Lily of the Valley. When we moved to NH from Northern California, I became entranced by this dainty early spring beauty growing in gardens here. So small, refined, delicate and feminine both in smell and form.
Beautiful sweater & yarn! Calla lilies are my favorite. I had calla lilies in my wedding. I love how beautiful & simple the flower is; yet it is not a delicate flower. Beauty & strength all in one flower.
My favorite flower is a sunflower. They are just so bright and beautiful and for someone who is very shy, I've always envied how a sunflower just fills a room with warmth. In fact, my wedding bouquet was a mix of roses, white daisies, and sunflowers. I love to look at pictures of it on rainy days. ❤
Oh, it's so difficult to choose a favourite flower, I love any blossoms from flowering fruit trees, especially cherry and apple blossom! This yarn is absolutely stunning ❤
My favorite flower is Stargazing Lilies. They are elegant with a beautiful soft scent. I actually had these lilies in my bridal bouquet and now keep with the bird feeder and bath in his honor. ❤️🩹
I love flowers in general but there is a special place i my heart for gladiolus. My Grannie always had some in her garden. Whenever I see them I think of her!
I love so many types of flowers it is hard to pick. Currently my heathers are in bloom to remind me that spring will come. They are my favorite flower today.
That is one beautiful sweater!! The yarn looks wonderful. I accept any and every boutique of flowers my husband brings me. Roses really tug at my heart, though. Thank you for this pattern. XOXO 💖
I have always preferred carnations, they look fluffy and comfy. This pattern looks delicious to knit, so many new stitches incorporated to keep me interested.
I love carnations as they last longer than normal flowers. I like the smell. That top appears to be an easy summer top. Thanks for sharing. I put this into my cue.
Love the look of this yarn. Favorite flower is an Iris. The shape the softness and the colors are so delicate, Oh and the scent. Love this new sweater!
One of my favorite flowers is Hyacinth. I love the shape and the smell is amazing. They are a lot of fun to grow in bulb vases in my kitchen window. I really enjoy learning new stitches, which I probably would not get right without your demonstration. Thank you for all you do; and for your greetings in your emails. They always make me smile.
The hem and sleeve border is beautiful, as is the heather look of the fabric the yarn creates. My favorite flower is the plumeria. I love its simple shape.
Oeh! I just love SUNFLOWERS 🌻🌻🌻 . Love to see the stages of change when they start blooming and then when they are ready to harvest I feed them to my very colorful lovebirds and cheeky chickens 😊
What a beautiful and simple pattern. And that yarn is just so wonderful ,it really brings out the pattern to its full glory. My favorite flower is the rose
Beautiful pattern as always! I love pansies because their colors are often ones we wouldn't pair together, but nature finds a way to make them gorgeous!
I love my bearded Iris. It has a strong grape jelly scent. It grew by our first house. When we moved I dug them up and planted them by our new home and I can see them out my kitchen window.
Beautiful yarn and beautiful sweater! So many flowers to pick one. And I know that I haven't seen or even know them all. So I really can't say I have a favorite. They all have their own beauty 💐
Beautiful sweater! I love all flowers, as you say, but since my childhood I have always been mesmerised by the Calla Lily flowers. To me they are so mysterious and have their unique beauty, and they can have amazing colours too, even though my favourite is the red one 😊
Alliums and Tiger Lilies. I remember a previous vid where Chandi pointed out her amazingly huge and perfectly shaped purple Alliums in her garden. They were outstanding! She is as good with flowers as she is with yarn!
I absolutely love English Roses. The colour range, the rosette shape, the fragrances, everything about them is stunningly beautiful. My mum loved the yellow and golden hues while I love the pinks and reds. The major exception is Rhapsody in Blue. Not only is the colour gorgeous (it is one of the few blue/deep purple roses) the fragrance is divine. I am looking forward to planting some roses in the garden this year. The pattern is great. I will be knitting several of these for spring and summer.
When I was a kid, I used to go to the grocery store with my mom. They always had hyacinth bulbs blooming and they were so fragrant! They gave the promise of spring. Although my mom is no longer with us, and as an adult, I start looking for them every January and love the memories that scent evokes for me. I also love lilies and lily of the valley in the summer. This tutorial is great! The dropped stitches are a little scary, but intriguing!
It's 11am on Saturday, January 20th in Mt. Airy, NC. My favorite flower are hydrangeas. I learned to knit in 1966 by a German lady who couldn't speak English and I couldn't speak German. I was only 11 years old. I SO LOVE knitting.
Picking a favorite flower is like picking a favorite child! LOL I am a mountain kid so the alpine forget-me-nots that live there have always filled my heart.
I haven’t done cabled knits for many years, but they are actually pretty simple to make and become a beautiful textured fabric. I love the version that creates the sweater and sleeve hems! Well done Debi! And thank you EFA for sharing the pattern, stitch demo and opportunity to win this beautiful heathered yarn. When I lived in NY, my favorite place to visit was the NY botanical garden in the Bronx - to be surrounded by gorgeous blooms regardless of the season was heaven on earth for me. My favorite flower is probably roses, especially the David Austin variety, (and my mother’s middle name was Rosa) but there are at least a dozen more flowers that come close, and my dream house would be in the middle of a garden surrounded by flowers of all types, colors and sizes, like an English cottage garden.
Yes, I totally agree. Flowers are spreading such a positiv mood. They look so beautiful and smell so fresh. My favorite flowers are Gerbera and sun hat. This new pattern is really wonderful. The combination of the wonderful border and the plain body is perfect.
Wow, I have been reading some of the comments and it’s amazing how you make people happy talking about their memories when they were younger with your question about the flowers. The sweater is beautiful, I love your style , very elegant and always a fresh looking. I love nature , all flowers are beautiful, I like sunflowers , like a beautiful sunny day . I am a beginner , I have to learn all but it’s easy with a teacher like you. Thank you for your work. Elena.
Beautiful, elegant design. The simplicity of the sweater along with the intricacy of the flower design embedded into the ribbing makes it just stunning! Flowers just make me smile so depending on the time of year I pretty much love them all. I especially love the daffodils in spring and Itoh peonies later in the summer.
The sweater is really cute, and looks like it could be customizable for length, which I like. Picking a favorite flower is hard, because flowers are lovely as a general rule, but if I had to pick, it'd be a tie between roses (all colors!) and carnations. Carnations are in honor of my wonderful mother, and they are lovely blooms and smell so nice, and roses here are something of an institution, with all different colors and shapes and scents, all which tantalize my nose and please my eyes.
A lovely top with an even more beautiful yarn pairing. The details are stunning. Favorite flowers. Tulips are first because I visited The Netherlands when the fields were in bloom. Bought 100 for about $10 at a flower market for my hosts. Next up is Lily of the Valley for fragrant childhood memories. Last up, Borage and Chamomile because they self seed all over my back yard, borage is edible + Chamomile makes a great tea.
I am fond of snapdragons because they remind me of my husband. Knitting reminds me of gardening - a lot of practice and work but the finished endeavor looks effortless.
I love gladiolus they don’t remind of anything, but the many blooms and the height of them are just so beautiful to me. I love all the beautiful colors I don’t have a favorite I love them all.
That top is beautiful. My favorite flower is, and always has been, the lilac. My grandmother and mother always had big fragrant lilac bushes. Then, the year we moved into our house, my husband planted two big lilac bushes for me.
Dahlias have also been my favorite flower! I also love daisies and babys breathe! So delicate and beautiful!! Thank you Chandi for being a ray of sunshine in our Nublados! 😉❤❤❤
I’m loving hydrangeas right now. The big full blooms and they’re available in pretty shades. Just simply gorgeous ❤😊
I adore tulips. Reminds me of my grandmother as she had tulips in her front yard 🌹

I love all flowers but I'd say a rose would be my utmost favorite because it reminds me of my Mom. She loved her rose garden.
I love flowers in general but there is a special place i my heart for gladiolus. My Grannie always had some in her garden. Whenever I see them I think of her!
