Ben, Thanks for showing us the real ICAST. Every now and then a best of show will be on spot but not very often. Nishine is a class company, especially because Mr. Nishine moved to Canada where he can perfect Smallmouth Bass lures specifically. That's dedication. Regarding other shows: I think it would be great if you Geoff and Griff went to a few of the big SB shows in Cali / AZ and do what you did here at ICAST. Or find those shows that showcase the garage lure makers of all types of baits. Take care guys!

How can you not love Hiroshi Nishine and his precision focus on perfection and practicality. I love his live videos of him testing his baits and working the ,lures as they are designed and catching so many fish…I used to buy directly from him, but now he’s always sold out. I agree with Grif on his plastics and I love the Namazu ❤️🔥🎣

The og Chad shads are made out of resin which is a type of urethane. That is what I use to cast my glides and swimbaits. The glide on the new chadshads is almost identical to the original version. They are definitely worth the money!

I learned how to design stuff in a CAD software in about 3 months. It took me 6 years to learn how to make baits out of wood, resin, silicone, plastic and foam and now after 6 years I am pretty confident. It takes actual time to learn how to make them by hand almost anyone can use SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
Nishine is absolute top tier. Love that they rep the lipless "Simcoe" like our home waters up here in Ontario. Erie and St Lawrence rightfully get a lot of hype for Smallmouth, but Lake Simcoe is a Trophy smallmouth factory up here. Truly a fishermans paradise.
