One of the very best reviews I’ve seen about the S95D! Because the way you presented it and also because you showed features that I haven’t seen anyone else show. The video wasn’t too long, yet very informative, and I feel you review is very honest! Excellent 👌🏽 I bought the QN900D Neo OLED 8K TV, is a powerhouse, BUT is overpriced for what it delivers, unfortunately, so I’m switching it for the S95D, arriving tomorrow.
First, great job using your phone's screen to show a glossy finish held over the matte Samsung finish. I'm currently using the best problem solver of glare & brightness. The 2014 Samsung Curve TV reduces glare angles & has a bright picture, but was not as popular as you'd think. So, I have only one question; Would the brightness of a Mini-LED screen over-power the glare enough to allow for a truly satisfying viewing experience? In fact I'll bet if you placed an even larger screen in the same place, the mere size of it might be enough to wow you.
@qbking77 Tim you forgot switch of intelligent mode hence why you only see two picture presets and also switch off all the energy savings options under general and privacy on the settings menu. 8:16
I just bought a S95C 55'' inchs for gaming .. I have a ps4 and a 30p game and a very bad hdmi cable yet this tv gave me the best quality of gameplay ever.. I was as if I was playing with the latest consoles. ..imagine if i had a ps5 and hdmi2.1 and game 120p ? The price of the TV S95C was 960$ I found it an opportunity to try OLED TV ..
It comes with 2 of them, one that's about a foot long to use if you mount the box on the back of the TV, and a 2nd one that is 8 feet long. The longest I've seen on Amazon is 49 feet. But these cables are not very cheap at all.
10:23 - Where'd you get the plant pot from for your snake plant? We've been looking for one like that for our money tree! Great video Tim! Loved to see the comparison to other non-matten sceens
@@DisplayNAudioTech far from it. I have three teles in my house, the oldest one being a Samsung which after 10 years is going strong. I was just pointing out questions. I bought an LG C4 and and Samsung S95D and I have to say that my blacks are twice better on the LG C4, the Samsung has a gray color compared to the LG oled… and of course I kept the LG and returned the Samsung..
@@KarlTheExpert exaggeration? Yes. But whoever thought matte screen is the way will be fired. Samsung already discounting TVs on the launch says everything. People hate that
The matt screen coating destroys the clarity and sharpness on pixel structure very bad decision/move from Samsung Display as its already clarified on other youtube channels these type of screen are never good for optimal usage, if people wanna use tv in daylight close your curtain or blinds seems normal to me now we stuck with this not knowing how many years to come at least LG woled get the point never to use a matte option🤣🤣🤣
That hyperbole. No, matte coating doesn't destroy anything, it looks a tad different but in dark enviroments there's almost no difference. Also every manufacturer has fiddled with the coating to reduce glare. And not everyone can darken their room easily during the day so it's great to have the option, you aren't the arbiter of how others want to use their TV and for some this will be optimal. So calm down, stop crying and just buy something different.
@KarlTheExpert th-cam.com/video/8t9qYy14810/w-d-xo.htmlsi=epzHOSNWw2MZ8lMJ not mine money worth spending 3500 dollar or more good luck with who purchase it 🤣🤣🤣

@@KarlTheExpert just because you do the typical rebuttal of people who sell out saying "No (insert generic shill opposite opinion and portray as morally superior)" doesnt make what you say true. Fact of the matter is if you actually had both glossy and matte displays side by side the contrast is way worse and colors are washed out on a matte display when compared to a glossy diplay.

Just got a new Samsung tv yesterday, and here you go. I swear, following tech channels feels like bullying
You bought the S95D, what’s your opinion?!
@@ozeiasmoreira1 I believe he means he just bought the old Samsung tv without QD-OLED

May I know how long the "longer" one connect cable is? (For remote/discrete setup)
One 0.3m cable and one 2.5m cable. 5.0m cable can be bought extra
Separate input box is a nice touch!
Matt finish doesnt bother me im more worried about how the one connect box goes in this model?
How long is the one connect cable to the tv

How long is the one connect cable
How about using it as a secondary monitor.? Pixel density Hrtz. ...
Great video btw 🎉🎉❤❤
Is this much brighter than the S95B? My 95B is looking dim to me these days.
How cm is the longer cable?

Thank you!
Honestly, it was a gift years ago so sadly not sure where it’s from!
Just I have a doubt Schofield is a suburb in Australia is that because you have it as the channel name
Don't they give wall mount accessories?
Sony bravia 7 vs samsung s95d which is best
Does the tv have blackout issues?
no S95D doesn't suffer from the same issues with the S95C with the one connect box
Nice TV nice video
Unfortunatly still no dolby vision...:((
Glare Free OLED 😍
But no Dolby Vision. Did we really need glare-free screens? Plus the quality issues still concern me somewhat. Nice review though.
Which brand do you work for ? I have seen you brand bash Samsung on other channels? Worried about losing your sales bonus?

Is this the 55 or 65 inch model?
65!
finally, matte OLED TV!!!
Samsung: masters of turning oled into 2010 lcd
Then you must've had some damn fine LCD back then. I highly doubt it though.

Hey Everyone Tim Schofield here and please review the One+ Watch 2
Damn! We are going back to proprietary cables.😮😅
I also hate that.
Nikola Tesla was going to give us wireless energy.
6.35 is that youtube vedio or something 🤔
yea that seems a little strange.. Those artifacts. right?? 6:35
The matte finish is absolutely dreadful, all it does is disperse the light and blow out the contrast...

You’re just another opinion buddy. Go tell someone who cares
Is this a paid review?
LG G4 more power..
Bad screen uniformity and banding on 5% greyscale Woled is always gonna be like that
Matte doesn't help shit, it just smears the incident light, ruins contrast and colors.

Hell no to matte oled screens.
