I think the in the new version of AE the key frames converted from sounds, acts differently wen you're trying to drag and adjust them. Also, how do I enable the transform box on the key frames on the audio amplitude? There is similar grey area, but when I hover over the edge, I don't get the option to drag to scale. Can anyone let me know if you know how to fix?
Totally .. while watching I was already thinking of songs I was gonna visualize using this technique - peeped your other videos and they’re all top notch - it’s like LEGO pieces. Was scared of after effects expression (I still am) but I think I have the courage now to try something PS: it was such an aha moment (so this is how most visualized audios are made) - thanks a ton for this quality stuff.
Hi! This tutorial is EXACTLY what I was looking for and I am so happy that I found it! Thank you so much for this! Question: is there a way to build this project in a way that it can be customizable? Like if I had multiple objects and different songs, and wanted to just swap out the asset layers and the music, that the objects can still react to the beat? Or is this a sort of project where I can only build out so much ahead of time, since the auto key frames will be different each time?
You are one of the best at making tutorials. You explain concepts really in depth. I watched your skillshare class on text animation. I love how you talk about physics and relate it to motion design. Is there an email or somewhere I can message you
hi Oliver, this is a great vid; but how did you select and drag all the audio key frames upwards? no matter how many times, it just stretches them, or moves just one frame for me, even though i selected all of them....thanks !
@@nadahussien345 As i mentioned in the video, you hold down the "Alt" button on WIndows, or the "Option" button on Mac, and click the stop watch. That should enable the expression for the property. Hope that makes sense 🙌
hi, sorry friend if i parented the scale parameter to the slider, scale go to 0.0 in silent wave. knowing that i parented in high wave as u did. can u help pls?

Why i cant drag the keyframes up when selected only to the side
Sadly when I select all the keyframes inside the graph editor I don't have the resize box (or whatever it called).

Brixton West make sure you are viewing the value graph when doing this.
My graph goes from -500 up to 600 and it doesn't allow me to click and drag vertically. I'm using After Effects 2021.
use value graph instead of speed

I just want to affect the lower frequencies, how will that be?
You would have to play around with it, as I’m not quite sure. I usually experiment to get whatever I’m working on to actually look like what I want.
