      Off topic, but I find it rather odd seeing someone "bless" another person when their picture is Varg haha

    • @CaptainBeefheart90
      @CaptainBeefheart90 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      SwiftyBoy17 What's a Varg?

    • @metalswifty23
      @metalswifty23 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      gears5336 Don't attempt to play like a fool. You and I both know that you know who Varg is (a quick look at your account would show a comment on a Bathory video, so one would assume with the picture that you have that you're at least aware of Burzum/Varg).

    • @metalswifty23
      @metalswifty23 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      gears5336 In fact, I didn't even see the comment on the Burzum cover, so yes, THAT Varg. No need to play a fool -.-

    I’m 20 and I watched this man when I was like 5 even though at the time I didn’t even know what he was talking about he would always make me laugh. When I was 10 and my dad passed it was the hardest thing I ever went through to this date but, after awhile I put lee Evans stand up on and it always cheered me up no matter how many times I’d watch his shows I would always cry if laughter.
    He helped me so much and played a big role in my life and he doesn’t even know me. I never got to see him live until I went to a show in London and he (among other British talent) was in the show! Problem was it was a very sad play but for those minutes I saw him it made me really smile. I’ve always wanted to see him perform his stand up or even talk to him for just 5 minutes, just to say thank you.
    I doubt anyone cares but I just want people to know how important this man truly is.

      My friend we all agree with you. So sorry to hear about your dad passing away especially with you being young. Lee is one of those diverse stand up comedians who could do pretty much any routine. I had the fortune to see him live 3 times and i could hardly speak for days after it. Hopefully one day he will return to the stage and you will get your wish. Never give up the dream...

    I remember going to see some comedy above a pub in London. There were maybe only 40 people there and Lee Evans came on. He was just starting out. I used to go and see all the comedy back then as there were some brilliant comedians. But I have never seen anything like that. I nearly died laughing. He played Bohemian Rhapsody and mimed the actions, not words of the song and it just killed. I knew then he would be a superstar. Strange to have seen him at the beginning and now he has retired. Bloody hell I feel old.

      The 4th: You are absolutely right and I did retire early April last year after working my fingers (haha I never typed fingers I typed conkers, rather than nuts and predictive text changed it and again it just changed it to bonkers) off, so much so that the most straight hours I worked, without a break was 56 from Friday 6am until 2pm Sunday and crashed my motor on the way home but it is a double edged sword, I've been stuck here in Spain with just my missus since October last year due to family issues and then the 16th of March due to Covid!
      I haven't seen any of my family other than her! Strange times....
      We are having a good time though and all I have got to do now is stop dreaming about work! I still wake up shaking my head after 18 months of retirement asking "how comes he can't get his head around how this part of the machine works, it's not that hard!" (Print Trade)
      Anyway rant over.......

    I'm not really a tearful type of guy,but this got me welled up. I really felt his sadness at the loss of his manager. Good luck lee in whatever you do.

    Funniest man on the planet, very privileged to watch him live and was as funny as on the DVDs. The most heartwarming thing was he is so genuine and grateful to the fans, he could have an audience of 20 or 20,000 and still appreciates people enjoying his material. I can't do anything in life that doesn't make me laugh from as simple as ordering takeout (FOODS HERE) 😂

    • @SagaciousFrank
      @SagaciousFrank ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah at the end of each one on his recordered (and presumably unrecorded) stand ups he was always humbly grateful for everyone who came, he never took it for granted.

    6 years on and he's stuck to what he said, if that is it then well undoubtedly he's one of the all time greats for sure, his 90s shows rank among the very best stand up shows ever...

    I am still so utterly gutted that I never got to see him preform. Despite his use of bad language, I first started watching him at freakin 8 years old and I LOVED him. I wanted to see him preform in 2015 for my birthday, but sadly in the end I couldn't afford it. If I had known it would have been his last tour, I would have tried a million times harder to save up... Every time I think about the fact that I never got to see him, it makes me so upset. :c
    Lee you were a true legend and we all still miss you so god damn much!!!!!!

    Saw Lee live at the NIA on his big tour 2008 roughly this time of year aswell. The reason he is generally regarded as the best British comedian is that everything he says relates to the common man. All the best Lee!
