Love John Bishop,so genuinely funny, down to earth, and able to turn life’s ups and downs into side splitting humour 😁🤔😂
Me 2.....!
John Bishop is the funniest and nicest man ever. ❤
genuinely funny guy ....Down to earth and no airs and graces
Thats what makes a star ' A STAR !!!
Easily known he has Irish blood in his veins.
Just an ordinary lad. Living the dream.
He looks great and has overwhelming charisma.
John Bishop doesn’t have an ex wife. He’s always been married to Melanie. They separated for a while, but they never divorced.
Didn't he say exactly that ?
Yeah. That's what was said in this program.
Very funny !! Seems a very likeable guy. Often see him on tv. Graham Norton show which can be very good show
If you listen to the clip he describes it and at one gig his wife was in the audience and they had a chat , later went to relate and decided to get back together. ...
That’s what he said
I absolutely love this man! So, so funny and I'm so glad he didn't get divorced.. Melanie is a very lucky lady 😊. I wish he had a single twin brother 😂
He has a great smile❤️
I went to his show at the oasis in Swindon. No one wanted to go with me, so I went on my own. He was wonderful.
Sometimes you have to follow your own mind. 😊
Bad times for your "friends"
Seen many comedians., But John is one of the best.
Absolutely love him, so funny and down to earth
His accent is thick but as a Belgian I could still understand him.
I bet your average American will need close caption translations. :)
I'm an average American, and he isn't hard to understand at all. I watch British dramas and comedies and QI, WILTY, and Taskmaster.
Yes he's an accent but not difficult to understand. We all have accents don't we.
Gorgeous looking guy, great comedian and loved him in Dr Who!
What John did for little white and little grey will stay with me for life. He's a handsome, kind, funny and wonderful man. ❤
Yes, that was a real eye-opener !! 💗
Youre prob not from the south, they talk slow cos they think slow, actual experince@joysynmonds9082
Absolutely.
Such a surprising dedication.
I met John in a pub in London ! He s absolutely awesome!
I absolutely loved John, saw a number of his Live at the Apollo shows and cried with laughter. His tale about the Hen’s night is unforgettable. Really funny nice guy. 😅😅😅
That was money down the Sh*tter then..wasn't it???
wow,so you hate him now then? you used past tense
@@richardarmed4847 why?

Why what?
Seems a good guy
John Bishop is so handsome!!😍
He is gorgeous.
Totally.
The Scouse Muppet isn't as good looking as me.
The Manc Marlon Brando.

Agreed
John Bishop's program where he had "a conversation" with just one guest was one of the best programs I've ever had the good fortune to watch on television. And his Saturday Night Fever comedy routine is a classic. He is a star at every level.
Such a nice,decent man.
That's a really nice story
I like him even more after hearing him speak about his wife.
Omg i love this !
I never knew what a funny man he was until I saw this interview, just saying the truth but in such a way that it makes it hillarious.....😊
I've seen him on some TV-show and thought "yeah, he's ok...", but this made me search for full stand-ups - he is great, and the accent fits great for a comedian.👍
Read his book, you will laugh all the way through, even the sad bits he makes funny
I agree . A chance to shine
John so handsome and funny😂
Amazingly naturally funny guy
What a funny lovely guy. ❤
About as funny as lung cancer!
He's lucky to get any WIIIIIRRRRKKKKK!!
When she heard the joke, she wasn't ex- yet.
They didn't divorce. Still together.
I love his accent ❤❤❤
🤮🤮🤮
what a handsome man that John
Not only is he gorgeous he is extremely funny.
Such a sweet story, enjoying him on Doctor Who s13, cool accent for us Beatle Boomers lol. Also loving Jodie Whittaker, a most excellent Doctor!!
Great comedian
John and Michael Mac just tell stories, they're funny because people they comment on and tell the stories about do the strangest/most unusual/unpredictable things, particularly politicians.
John Bishop is a lovely 🥰 guy ❤❤
Women can't help changing and "fixing" a man. And then they complain he isn't the man they married.
Not all of us.
Cheap therapy. Well done. Glad you've saved your marriage.
"I just split up with me wife"... All wimmen in the audience go: AAAAAHHH!! Rgr
The wife saw all the women in the audience oggleing him , & decided to grab him back asap , 😅
Do You know, I was born and raised on the UK But moved to Ireland 33 years ago, but I always wanted to go back and get pulled over by the cops and them ask me my name? and of course I'm Jon Bishop too ! Coincidentally John has a Son called Daniel so do I 🙂
You work all your life to be successful and if your lucky you might be, but John Bishop was very successful with two jobs!!
Listen to that. John, and therefore most men, honestly think it's harder for them 🤣🤣🤣
Ex Wife????!!! I ❤️JB
Lol!! 🙂
Maan.. if Paddy Pimblett and John Bishop got together, considering how extremely charismatic both of them are, could you imagine the conversation? Even people from Liverpool would have no idea what they were saying... not to mention, the throat spit that would be flying around the place when pronouncing their "r's".. I'd pay to see that.
john bishops a wool 😂😂😂
You know how Boris cultivated the scruffy buffoon charade …….John Bishop is the same nobody is that scouse
🤣🤣🤣🤣. I'll pay as well
Johns my uncle btw
I found my marriage and divorce experiences very helpful in my palliative care work in uk. I am Australian and pissed off many English people with that bishop attitude.
I also learned that many male dying patients regretted marrying their wives 😂 we live in a fantasy world of unresolved grief...then we die 🎉
John just has the squeak, i mean speak and he makes me laugh! Calm down la.
*Accidentally*
2010 It says 2hrs.....🤔
&?
Stand up guy!
Is he related to the BeeGees?
Like your train set John THE ONE YOU Didn't want ££££
Thought he was originally ok.
The fact that he's now trying to demean An Gorta Mór after choosing it as a subject on Mastermind puts me right off him...
🤷🏻♂️
I'm glad John's done so well as a comedian. It's confusing though.. As somebody from Liverpool, the accent John has, at his age, would be of a man who'd been raised on a concrete jungle council estate with no real prospects. It wouldn't be anyone who had been to uni, and had the really good job he had. Not because of not being intelligent. This has been debated by people in the local Liverpool paper, with the conclusion of something not being right (or words to that effect.) If he's trying to make himself seem more ethnic, Ken Dodd, who is held up as being a comic genius, is also from Liverpool but never had the accent as he came from a middle class area of it. I think it just annoys people from Liverpool because they feel they're being robbed of something (ironic, I know.)
Try Adam Rowe. Scarily real.
The Wheat Fields. Are you serious? What a patronising ( and wrong) attitude. You think that all people born and raised in rough areas of the country, who have the local accent they had growing up, could not possibly go to University, or do well getting a good job?. That they are all destined to become failures with " no prospects". How bigoted. There are many people all over the country who are successful and have strong regional accents, many came from rough poverty stricken backgrounds . Instead of applauding them you'd like to cast doubt on their true origins. Get out of here!!!!!!
What’s confusing? It’s an accent that he pulls off well. Nobody cares whether it’s genuine or not.
Rubbish. I'm from Liverpool, have a degree, my family have degrees, and nobody curbs their accent. Ours isn't Central or North Liverpool, however, you have the accent from the area you come from, unless you've deliberately changed it. I've heard plenty of lecturers in uni with a thick Scouse accent. Can't get more intelligent than that.
I would have thought Victoria Beckham walking past would be a downfall of being on the show. It's difficult enough to get away from her desperate attention seeking as it is.
The bbc gone so woke today s programs are non existent John bishop show was good haven’t seen him since on tv
JOHN BISHOP IS NOT FROM LIVERPOOL
what the .... is this 30 years old lol.... 13 then...proves good jokes never get old do they.
This is click bait head line is because the author has no skills, nor integrity . Totally inaccurate.
⁰
Oh my goodness the lies, I didn't know anything about comedy, but the first set he did was 35 minutes...... Hmm that lie might work for people who don't know showbiz. Get a gig as a warmup act on a TV show is NOT easy to achieve. Agent.... The lies or gaps in the story are huge.
I’m guessing you were one of the 7 in the audience that night were you? Hmmm
47 seconds - Why would I watch a disrespectful man like Johnathon Ross after His clever comments. - goodbye
unfunny and there's better comedians among the everyday people of Liverpool, btw we do not all have his overly exaggerated scouse accent.
Exaggerated? Think that's just his accent.
Two people I can’t stand. John bishop and Jonathan woss.
About as funny as a fire in an orphanage!
And an accent that makes you want to chuck!
Why are you watching?

Love John Bishop, he's so funny and good looking too 🤭 😊
I love john Bishop,great comedian,😊
John is a kind, funny man. I met him in real life in 2014. He is softly spoken and far more handsome in the flesh.
That’s an advert for that RELATE place.
He's right, every Monday is a nightmare.
Hilarious and so well deserved.
He's actually quite sweet and charming. Didn't expect that.
One of the funniest liverpuddlians to hit the comedy scene.
If they ever do a remake of "Some Mothers", John Bishop would make the perfect Frank Spencer .
Zac Martin. WHAT are you talking about. The Frank Spencer character was daft, weak and a bit pathetic. Everything that John Bishop is not. He's so well known now for his straight talking, charismatic Liverpudlian personlity. Who on earth would want to watch him playing a dithering idiot. Stupidest idea EVER.
@@janiceal-najjar5093 it's called "acting". You don't actually need to naturally possess the characteristics or attributes of the person you are portraying, just the skill and talent to make the audience believe that you do. You do realise that Michael Crawford was not like Frank Crawford in real life??
@@eyeswideopen2043 Michael Crawford is very softly spoken in real life, and was naturally very slight and weak looking. He was also a professional actor and put on a slightly effeminate accent for the "oooh Betty" line.
John Bishop on the other hand is no actor ( despite having had a go at it) speaks with a very harsh tone in a broad Scouse accent in real life, and it would be absolutely incongruous to hear him speak like the character portrayed by Michael Crawford. I cannot imagine anyone less suited to the role.🙄
@@janiceal-najjar5093 "Acting ", by its very nature, allows people to portray on screen, characters who are totally unlike themselves - and a wide variety of them. That's the whole point. Actors are able to modify their natural voice modulations for roles in the same way they do their accents when the role requires it - they often do this with the aid of a voice coach.
Bishop, like many comedians, has very successfully made the move to acting, and neither his Liverpool accent nor the tone of his voice has held him back. Some would say that, having mastered comic timing, the Frank Spencer character would be an easy role for him.
Notably, Michael Crawford was for many years - and before he ever acted in the West End - a comedian and comedic impersonator in UK.
@@eyeswideopen2043 In what lifetime was Michael Crawford ever a "comedic impersonator"? Whom did he impersonate?
He started off in musical theatre very young, transitioned to be an actor and after many years he got the role of Frank Spencer initially for two years around 1973. Then one revival of the role around 1978 or so. Soon after he was cast in another soap playing a slovenly ruffian type, but because he was so synonymous with the weedy, accident prone Frank the public couldn't accept him in a different character role, so he left and returned to the stage. So that rather highlights my point about typecasting making it difficult to bring believability to a different role. Even for an experienced actor like Crawford. John Bishop could never pull off the particularly dithery ,weedy, accident prone character of Frank Spencer if an enormously experienced actor like Crawford couldn't do that very thing. After that he had a successful career in productions like Barnum and Phantom of the Opera. Where did you get " comedic impersonator" from? He used physical comedy similar to Chaplin and Lloyd. He admired them. But impersonator? Nah.
As for John Bishop being a "successful actor" bit of an overstatement. Your point about his harsh Liverpudlian accent not holding him back really misses the entire point. Because its part of his persona even changing his voice to that of a dithering, simple, accident prone fool would never eradicate the public's perception of him. That would render him absolutely unbelievable in the part of Frank Spencer.
So funny, a great interview... Some people may not find it funny, but maybe they have had a humour bypass ???..or their funny bone needs retuning ??...
Absolute top bloke!
Dey do do dat dough don't dey dough
Translate to English 🤣🤣🤣
Dey do when Ken Dodd's Dad's dog's dead.
I think John Bishop would be perfect to be our Eurovision commentator in Liverpool this year.
Eurovision is so crap, not even worth spending a single penny on that tripe much better things to spend it on.
My ex wife gave me great material for everyday chat and piss taking
Love John so funny !
He’s great.
Willem Dafoe does a great scouse accent.
Was on a cruise a few years ago for a animal charity …he was lovely …nice man
Love this ❤
He lived in winsford cheshire
He lived in Winsford because he played football for Winsford FC, he was never going to be good enough to play for LFC although he was from Liverpool
Jeez, how old is this clip??
I don't care. It's funny.
Well I misunderstood the tagline for this… disappointing.
Watched this by chance. Being a Southerner, I had to re-listen to some parts. For the 2 minute joke I struggled with the precise words, so turned on the Closed Captioning. That was hilarious as well!

John Bishop is not funny ,how the hell he makes a living at it I will never know,
you can say YOU don't find him funny but you can't say he isn't funny because to some people he is
@@wendyford5050 I have heard that argument before ,about comedy being subjective , and it is nonsense , in fact Ricky Gervais uses it in a routine . Trouble with it is we use the same system to decide what is right or wrong . good or bad guilty or innocent . So as I said he is not funny . Read all the comments and you will see a pattern ,Nice guy legend so good looking charismatic etc not so much about humour .
