Agreed. I remember a game when the Mets were getting blown out of the water and the booth made up for it. Their banter of course and had baseball cards talking about former players and made it worthwhile. Best booth in the MLB and so fortunate.
They are easily, and I mean EASILY the best announcing crew in baseball. Maybe in baseball history. No one has ever brought more enjoyment to a game, all while providing unmatched commentary, then Gary, Ron and Keith. I’m just afraid we’re going to lose Ronnie full time very soon. He’s already doing TBS part time and in the playoffs, so it’s just a matter of time before he hooks on with the MLB network. Hopefully Cohen offers him enough to stick around. He’s a treasure. They’re all treasures.
As of late April 2021, it’s not Cohen’s call (yet), as the Wilpons still own SNY. However, just in the past few days, I have seen reporting about talks to sell the network to Cohen. Regardless, I don’t think it’s all that likely Ronnie will be leaving anytime soon, MLB Network or not.
@@konasurfah I’m just thrilled to hear the name “Mudcat Grant” again. Twins, ’65. Beat Drysdale, lost to Drysdale, beat Osteen - all lost in Koufax’s gigantic shadow that year.
Best Keith moment ever was the “Is that a girl in the dugout?? I’m not saying she belongs in the kitchen, but she definitely doesn’t belong in the dugout!”
You know, since I've had MLB extra-innings, I've often re-watched big games the Mets have won with the opposing feed, just to hear the disappointment in their voices. I mean, I pretty much already knew it, but GKR are hands down the best announcers in sports. We Met fans are so incredibly lucky to have them.
I remember the security guard incident vividly to this day. It’s still as hilarious as it was then. This stuff is why GKR are the best booth in baseball (if not all of sports), and let us not forget Howie Rose, as well
If you get the chance, please tell Gary that he's been the best announcer in baseball ever since Vin Scully retired. Gary deserves to be in the Mets Hall of Fame as well as the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Keith is hilarious & a great baseball color guy as well. As a player I still remember laughing seeing him trying to sneak in smoking a cigarette in the dugout and the camera always caught him.
I totally agree that this team is the best. When the Mets are broadcast with different announcers, I grit my teeth to watch and miss Gary Cohen's incisiveness acutely, Keith's "grunts," and even Ron's 500th explanation of the difference between a slider and a fastball. . Not since hearing Richie Ashburn (RIP) on the Phillies broadcasts have I enjoyed games as much.
These guys are pros. They give props to the other teams, their players their pitchers when they do things right, but they never sell out their home team in the process. They’re hilarious and informative. Joe Morgan and John Miller might be the only guys I liked as much
Through many years of watching many different colorful commentators, like Howard Cosell, Ralph Kiner, Tim McCarver but none of them had the comedy essence of the big three Gary, Keith and Ron had! They’re truly my favorite sport commentators of all times! They’re even better then those clowns they put on ESPN or Sport Center!!!
PS 6:30-Howie is supposed to be THE authority on Mets trivia-why is he consulting a book? Keith rightly took the book away as if to say "how dare you!"
God I wish someone would do this with former Devils Booth of Doc Emrick and Chico Resch. Grew up with them, kinda, and they will always be the best for me.
Ok. Check it. I'm a Braves fan. Tell me why I LOVE listening to these 3? After I watch Braves broadcasts, I'll watch the entire game over again with the Mets team. I love those guys. They're not homers, that helps.
I love that bit with the muscle head and water bottle. All muscle no brain. But if he had turned the cap the other way we wouldve never had this precious moment.
I agree with this, but if y’all get a chance look up Len and JD best moments. They were an underrated duo. It’s too bad Len moved to the whites sox radio booth
This was good, but deceptive. Their best stuff is not jokes and wild laughter, but much more subtle, especially with Cohen’s ability to improvise, and cultural references by all three you have to 60 years old to get. (I׳m 62). The meandering conversations during boring games, plus best of all, the mockery of Hernandez for his sense of entitlement.

I'm sorry but I think the brewers are better but both are great... We have uecker
I couldn't agree more!
This booth is great as well as Uecker in Milwaukee... but nobody brings it quite like Don Orsillo and Mudcat Grant in San Diego!!

"He's opened up some eyebrows"😂💀 Josh Satin did have some thick ass eyebrows though.
They were laughing so much they had to cut the audio and he can hear them faintly laughing with some other mic lol so funny
"I wasn't talking about the hot dog." Best booth in the game hands down.🤣

Those who know this ^^^^^grew up in a better time
I love doing that when the Yankees lose.
gary: "it's not a cat, look at the ears!"
the ears: (the most generic cat ears of all time)
Mets have always had incredible booths for tv and radio. Nothing makes me miss New York more than hearing Gary’s intro.
2) PUT IT IN THE BOOKS!
3) aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAA GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYBODY!
Me when video is over: WAH
More coming soon...
You don’t have to be a Mets fan to enjoy these guys.
2:15 “wah” - my favorite moment ever! 😂😂
Yes, indeed, the best booth in all of baseball! Thanks for posting. ^_^
I LOVE THESE GUYS SO MUCH. THEY MAKE ME SMILE, AND THEY ARE THE BEST.
The very best Booth in all of sports!!!!

Such a treat & joy to listen to these 3 guys, awesome!!!
I love this broadcast booth. Seriously they are the best.
"I wasn't talking about the hot dog" - Keith Hernandez
Great video. I watch other teams games and say to myself, These poor fans need to listen to this? It took me awhile to realize how good we have it.
Thank goodness someone is collection these for the memories
I remember watching so many of these games.
yo when keith accidentally flamed satin’s eyebrows and you can hear gary crunch his water bottle. amazing
“I know those two gentlemen don’t have a chance.” 😂
i love how most of these involve all of them eating something
Ha! Free stadium food. Who wouldn’t love that? lol. That would be my dream.
I’m not even a Mets fan and I think these guys are the best team in baseball I feel like 3 man booths are better for baseball but I could be wrong
Depends. These three have chemistry. It's like a podcast with baseball game visuals.
Thank you for making this
When Keith broke the camera and said it’s not coming out of my check 🤷🏾♂️ lmao

That's hilarious you got the Josh Satin thing on there, although the booths reaction to that was hilarious, should have let it play a little longer.
Made this in 2020 and in 2022 you're on the broadcast sitting next to Jerry Blevins. An inspiration 💪

The beginning was adorable!
My late grandfather described them best. The guys on Fox and espn were all about stats. This trio would tell stories and have a good laugh.
I don't know how the national networks haven't snapped these three up. The best team in baseball bar none.

Best Booth In Baseball Guaranteed!
5:46 "What DOES he do?" Keith channeling Jerry Seinfeld! 😀
Ever watch a Mets game with the opposing team's booth play-by-play and commentary?
It is BRUTAL! The difference between GK&R and all others is stark.
Not a Mets fan but that was entertaining for sure!
Gary, Ron, and Keith--the best booth in baseball.

Aww, I miss GKR so much! (I just can't take what Manfred had done to the game, so I'm done with baseball.) But this is such remembered joy. Thank you.
Best in baseball? Best in SPORTS! Every game I either laugh or learn something. Gonna be a really sad day when these 3 hang up the cleats.
