He is one of the few voices of sanity in India.
He has been talking about climate and demographic changes in Indian Subcontinent since the publication of The Hungry Tide . This climate change narrative only came into fore after recent protest in west . Amitabh Ghosh has been telling us since a decade but nobody was paying heed to it .

I was so blown away by the quality stuff he writes, it compelled me to find out more about Indian writers. I voraciously began exploring and reading Indian authors. So happy to hear Amitav Ghosh.

Food, Literature and a profound liking for myths - Amitav Ghosh is truly a Bengali at heart no matter where he lives and how extensively he travels. PS - I'm not a Bengali but thanks to Ghosh' works, I've started learning the language and I so wish Ghosh decided to pen a novel in Bengali someday :) An interesting interview - I must admit it seemed a mix of casual and yet an erudite conversation
