Thank you so much for your work here. So good to follow along with the score.
One of the best Wesendonck lieder performance. Anne Evans is simply sublime.
Delightful. Thank you for posting this. ✌
you can hear how the beginning of act 3 and the love duet in the act 2 of tristan are largely based on the third and fourth songs of this cycle
@Boris Sitnikoff I think that these songs would have preceded Tristan by a little bit, though not much. These were likely written before their corresponding sections in the opera, but I bet Wagner wrote them with the intention of using them in said opera.
Hello Schopenhauer
thanks wikipedia

Thank you!
Richard Strauss (the first Lied) !!
Why can't people stop coughing for a few minutes, damn it?!?
Vel, vi vet hvem det gjelder, og når. Sublim.
the harmonies and orchestration of the beginning and ending bars of the fifth lied are so beautifully peaceful. gorgeous compositions, although I find the vibrato and drama of the singer a bit much at times. nonetheless a nice recording.
Why are you always so critical?
@@bartjebartmans because thinking about the performances I listen to is a meaningful part of my interaction with them. and there are always aspects about them that I won't like, but I don't think that's a problem. rather, it gives them all uniqueness and I like them for different reasons. also its something that gets me to want to do it the way I see it myself.
being critical in the literal sense of the word isn't bad, because a critique is not negative in itself, its just an assessment. so yeah, I do have something negative to say about many performances and compositions, but that doesn't mean I don't value them, quite the opposite. I think about them deeply because I do.
@@counterpointenthusiast calling me snarky is part of the way you see yourself? You are confusing me.
