We are Florida residents on top of CM. And we booked our first camp site in 3 more weeks and me and the girls are so exited about it. So looking forward to this new Disney experience.
You are gonna love it. Ft Wilderness is such an amazing part of Disney history and one of the best spots on property.
Currently Disney is upgrading all the campsite pedestals to a newer version that has updated cable connection and a new Ethernet plug. They are also almost done with a fiber optic upgrade with better Wi-Fi speed.
That’s awesome that they are investing in infrastructure to keep up with technology. We don’t have an RV so don’t know much about it but are planning to rent one and do an RV stay there soon. So excited!

You can also rent campers to stay there. They’ll come set it up for you and everything !! We’ve stayed in a cabin a couple of times but every time since then we just rent a camper when we stay at the fort.
I’ve seen videos of @timtracker doing that. It is definitely on our to do list!

What power options do the tent pop up sites have?
110 volt / 20 amp
110 volt / 30 amp
220 volt / 50 amp
For a tent you can stay in the 2000 loop, has electricity and water but no sewer hookups
Those artist renderings look horrendous! Are they replacing the charm and atmosphere of the cabins with modified shipping containers?
Yeah it’s tough to be excited about them based on the drawings. It’s happening regardless of whether we like it so at this point we just hope that they maintain some charm! Thanks for watching and for the comment.

We feel the same way about the change. We love the cabins as they are.
I was back there a few days ago and the first loop of old cabins has been removed. I had a visceral reaction. I really thought I might have to sit down 🤣
When I was there I tried to soak in and enjoy every minute. They should updated some things like the shower, but kept the same feel. Hope they go back to the original design at some point @@TravelandFoodieWarriors
