Josh and Jenna. thank you for taking us on the tour. My worst fears have been realized. We have been DVC owners for 20 years. the current DVC builders/managers clearly are not Disney Immagineers; they come straight out of Las Vegas. These new "cabins" scream IKEA. Their current concept of theming is to take an IKEA box and throw up some curtains and artwork of Mickey in a campground and ..,Presto!!! its wilderness themed! You could throw up NYC curtains and artwork a presto its city themed. Even the host/spokesperson seemed to struggle to convince herself that it is wilderness themed. She had to read her notes to let you know how "environmental" it is. When you opened and closed a couple of the cabinet doors it sounded just like doing that at the IKEA furniture store. Wait until you see the new DVC at Polynesian. They will take that same IKEA box and throw up some curtains with palm trees and Mickey on the beach and Presto! its polynesian themed!
so disappointing
Thank you for stating “IKEA” their cost cutting measures have been noted. It’s dark in there and looks tight for 6 members. I miss the Disney of yesteryear . They figure If they can slap some “Disney” pictures on the wall, we will all stop the chatter. But Disney imagineers need to go back and study Disney theming 101 and they will soon see there’s no comparison
If you didn't see the artwork and I showed the photos of the interior, you wouldn't know that was a cabin, let alone that it was at Disney.
It’s ok looking, it doesn’t say wilderness campgrounds to me. Just another moderate room cut and paste
Tour guide did a good job but managed to set a record for the number of uuhhs spoken
Nice. Thank you for sharing. I don't think "cabin" is the right term anymore. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Art work is nice, but its not Fort Wilderness cabins to me.. Looks like every other modern hotel just with Disney art work added...Nice and new but big thumbs down..
This isn’t a cabin. It’s a modern trailer park home. They should’ve stayed within the theme of the fort with a wood cabin look on the exterior and interior. This is just a trailer in the middle of the fort. What a huge miss by Disney.
Sad that it doesn’t have a woodsy interior style that creates the feeling of a “cabin.” The artwork is superb but the walls could have looked like logs.
They took out all of the resort personality like many of the other redos. As someone who stayed in the old cabins, everything I like is gone. We liked that the bathroom separated the 2 sleeping areas . Now it doesn't. There is no "living room" area as before. You can not watch TV as a family comfortably. On a score of 1-5...I give it a 1. Refreshing the cabins. There were replace them with cabins that look just like the old ones. What have been much more efficient.
A little bit of pop century, a little bit of Boulder Ridge and the word um…that’s I’ll got from this video. 🤔
I was at fort wilderness this weekend... The new cabins going up look so put of place... Totally do not match the theme and vibe of what fort wilderness is supposed to be.
Who ever is designing the repost has to be related to someone and hate Disney! Mickey and themeing is being lost with every redo!
I was surprised that there wasn't a tub in the bathroom. If you have kids, you want that. It does look pretty on the inside, but we are used to seeing cabins in the woods, not little homes. Thank you for the video.
Thank you for sharing! Every time the presenters said “um” would make a “smashing” drinking game! Oh Lordy! 🫣
I like the more modern cabin, including the use of the space, modern features and artwork. I think families will enjoy staying in the cabins. Thanks for sharing the tour and glad Disney invited you to see them. 😊
Play this at 2x speed. You’re welcome. It’s nice to see this reveal, and it’s good to confirm that this is still not my taste for vacation! Also, is it weird that they have bunkbed for kids but no bathtub?
They look cozy and sleek. So cool of Disney to invite you guys out
😮 Gone are the tree limb style chairs, the wood plank walls. Wood cabinets and rawhide type lampshade with moose cutouts and warm plaid curtains. All replaced with Ikea style furniture and neutral cabinets and a generic bathroom....and it'll cost much more...I'm out.
Well they have done it again! It looks cold and unwelcoming! I loved the old cabins and now I wouldn't stay in one if you paid me. It's so sad what Disney has become.
Look nice, thanks for the look inside!
So happy you guys were invited to this!!! Thank you for sharing it with us!❤❤
Looks like they put a Holiday Inn in the middle of Ft Wilderness! Another massive Disney Failure!!!!!!
I think they look great and I love the Art work. "Mickey's Trailer" was my absolute favorite when I was little. I love that it is represented in the art above the couch and murphy bed.
Would be nice to donate them to homeless veterans
Wonder why they didn’t put a washer and dryer in unit since it’s a DVC
It is a weird exclusion, they could’ve crammed in the combo unit somewhere (if anything the kitchen is excessively big for how many bodies you can even sleep in there). The cabin itself is a weird blend of studio (which don’t get the washer/dryer) and 1br, so I guess they just felt like cutting corners and saving money 🤷♂️
Thank you for showing us the new cabins!
I love the artwork and the bunkbeds! It looks really cool even though it doesn’t really feel like a cabin to me. Feels more like a general room. I love that they still have all the Disney touches though!
Thanks for the tour guys. I get that the other cabins were old and needed to be updated but these new ones don't give me that "F.W. Cabin" feel. It's more like if someone took a big RV added a few nice Fort Wilderness pictures and parked it permanently in the driveway.
Just what we always wanted to do, go on vacation and stay at a Tiny “IKEA” warehouse! 🤢🤮 SMH… they need to get rid of everyone involved in designing all the modern parking garage, warehouse designs! Bring back the Magic! 🙏🏼💕🎉 and a little Testosterone would be great as as well!
i give give 7 out 10. i would've like the old rustic wood cabinet look but with the smart updates
That is why I gave it 1 out of 5. For families but no "family room", no tub, and you have to walk through one sleeping area to get to bathroom!
Appreciate the video, and so happy you guys got invited to go! Personally, I think this looks an awful lot like the rooms at the value resorts. Not sure why I would stay at a sprawling campground where it's a big hike to the pools and the transportation when I could have a similar room at an All-Star resort for much less.
Your forgetting you can cook in these. Not sure what a family of four would spend a day on food eating out. There is transportation throughout the Fort and the vibe in the campground is a little bit different than an all star resort. As they say 'to each his own'
@@craigmonaghan4399 How far is it to transportation/buses from the cabins?
@@annagrant3566 The cabins feature three bus stops - one for loop 2200 to 2300, another for loop 2400 to 2600 and yet another for loop 2700 to 2800 I would say no more than a ten minute walk from the furthest cabin to any bus stop.
These look so fun! Thank you!❤
Why would you put the bathroom at the front. When it should be in the middle , and thr TV. You can't watch it from the couch , it is to close. In the old ones you could sit on the couch and watch the TV. I think they should Redesign these cabins. Put the kitchen in the front , move the living room where the kitchen is know . Put the TV on the wall were the bed is know Put the on the side we're the windows are , but you don't need the whole window. With the bathroom in the front you have to walk right by the people that are a sleep in the living room.
Josh & Jenna, thanks for sharing the views of a new cabin with us. We think it looks really nice! The bathroom looks really well done. Great improvement there. That big window behind the curtains will show a great outdoor view! The inside looks nicely appointed and quite comfortable. See you guys on the Friday stream. 😊❤
Thank you for a great time on the cabin
OMG! I can see kids and a box of crayons drawing on the murals!
Very nice Tour hope to visit them soon.
Very nice cabins. Thanks for showing ud
Great video, thanks, Josh and Jenna.
It’s great that Disney rolled out a press agent who used the word UM approximately 300 times in a 10 minute video… Great salesmanship….
Love all the beautiful Disney artwork and lots of space for storage. Also like all the windows for natural light.❤❤❤
I was so excited for these! This resort takes me back to my childhood. Having a very young family, there’s one really big flaw that for most with littles or toddlers, might be a make or break deal. They switched the tub for a shower! 😢 Otherwise it would’ve been great!!
Great you were able to share, Josh and Jenna, so nice they included you guys! (How much is that woman getting paid? I was so distracted by the “um”s! 😳 God bless but 😬)
Awesome!!
I thought it was very nice. I really liked the artwork and the decorations. Thanks for showing us!
I do really love how the outside of the cabins look too!
i can't wait ubtill these open i was honestly a bit skeptical about how they would come out i think though that all the littlw fun details nore thean hide the not so cabiny feel. rganks si nuch as always guys!
Love the thumbnail. Excited to watch
The outside looks very modest and NOT a cabin feel at all and the inside doesn’t either it looks like a hotel no wilderness vibes at all thanks for showing us Josh and Jenna
Oh I love the picture of the camper on the wall. It’s from my favorite Mickey cartoon.
LOVE the rugs and the theme.
Love the artwork
Love the cabins
Love it!
Thank you Josh and Jenna!
We are booked for a night this September.
So glad to hear there will be a BBQ.
You are welcome to drop by for a little visit.
Promise to have cold Coke Josh. 😉
Hope the stool in the bathroom has rubber pads under or else that will be slipping on tile. Great idea if executed properly. I think ut looks very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for checking these out. They seem a lot smaller and more cramped!! Can’t say I’m a fan. Looks like they took the wilderness feel right out of the fort and seems like they are pushing that art super hard and trying to deviate from the actual room itself. Sad times for Disney.
Thanks for the sneak peek. We will definitely give it a try. The layout seems somewhat awkward especially where the TV is in the main room and I heard chatter about storage, but didn’t see much for unpacking and moving in for the week (which is what we like to do)
Neat!
FANTASIA
Typical new Disney take out all original themes and re place it with an ordinary room and add a few pictures and pillows and call it themed. So I’m just guessing they have no theme talented people who work there any more. No I don’t hate Disney I just miss it. I always stayed in the cabins back in the day and I wouldn’t now but of course I can’t because I’m not DVC.
I gotta get me one of those!
Thanks for showing us the new cabins. I like the Resort TV 1 golf shirt Josh was wearing. Will they become available for purchase?
No washer or dryer?
Pretty neat
I have to say I'd never would want to stay at this Ikea box.
So these are basically DVC duplexes that are roughly equivalent in square footage to a basic DVC room. They look smaller than the 1bv for sure. But you know Disney is going to charge like 100 pts a night or $1200 a night to stay here. Not at all for me, thanks. This seems like a massive downgrade.
Actually I thought I heard the points per day wasn’t too terrible since these are further away and a more unappealing location in general. A bit more than a studio but less than a 1br.
For the windows, is there a remote for opening the shades? Also, please do another video for the outside. This one was very informative. The cabins are very nice! Thank you! 😊
How did no one at this event ask about if there would be in unit laundry and if not, why? Its been about the biggest question everyone has!
This is absolutely not a good move by Disney. The cabin is terrible in regards to “feeling” like your in the wilderness and camping in a cabin. This is one of the worst moves this company has ever made
Definitely not one I’d buy into for sure. Maybe use some points to stay there once for the novelty, but the fort wilderness area is already more secluded back from the main hotel, so you get to hoof it every day to the bus stop, which sounds very unappealing after a day in the park.
I didn’t see any washer or dryer. Did they not add those? That’s kind of surprising since 1 bedrooms have them.
There is a website to purchase the old cabins that are for sale.
Thank you for the tour. I love the artwork, but the furniture lacks that Disney "spark". I will really miss the old cabins, they were beautiful and it felt like you were in a real "cabin". These are more like tiny homes. I like the environmental details though. Thanks again!
Can’t say I’m the biggest fan, design is whatever (never stayed in the old cabins so I have no opinion other than it doesn’t really look much like a cabin), but dislike the room layout. As a parent, you generally want to get away from the kids when they go to sleep (this is from a multiples perspective), especially at night, so having bunk beds in the same room as the master is pretty unappealing; would rather they’d have found a way to tuck them inside the main area in a wall somewhere, maybe get rid of the boring Murphy bed couch and store them in the back wall there and just have a movable couch or something else to access. Or again, plant them on some other random wall besides the same one as the parents. We love kids, but sometimes we really just need a break.
Very cool! I love the artwork and the small details. Thank you for sharing!
DVC and no washer or dryer?
You do realize studios don’t have them either? Granted this is like half a step up from a studio, and I agree it’s inexcusable why they couldn’t add them in.
I still think the Winnebago trailers were the best. The living room was a great size and slept more than this thing does. We also tent camped down there as well. While I am all for making things cost efficient and greener, you could at least make it woodsie feeling. If you want all the comforts of home, stay home. It's fun to be transported to another world when you are on vacation. Come on Disney.
Thanks for taking us along. To me, it’s nice, but lacking that “cabin” feel. Seems old Disney isn’t something that’s valued as much any more. Also… Huey, Dewey and Louie were little ducks. Not woodchucks. And, “ummm”…. Wish I had a dollar for every time I heard that. Haha
They should have asked me, the bathroom all the way across the whole cabin is so annoying to the people sleeping in the living room, and where do the living room people put their clothes? Only good thing about this is the new bunk beds and better outlets. Otherwise, this looks not cozy and not practical. Also, dvc people are accustomed to have a washer and dryer in their rooms, now they will have to lug it to the laundry centers at the fort. So many thing wrong. And yes I’ll still go, I’m already booked for 2025 😂
Born and raised in tampa, florida. Been going to disney since it opened in 1971. Once the campgrounds opened w would go camping in a pop-up that my grandmother bought, then later in the cabins and always had a blast. I hate that disney keeps changing things that my generation revered and not update or clean areas that need it (small world). This is not the place i remember from my childhood 😢😢
These look really nice inside, BUT they don't look like cabins at all!! I miss the log cabin look that the old ones had.
hey josh and Jenna 1:05 how are you best yoda Wow Beautiful New House Work?
Once again Disney has managed to take Disney out, so sad..thank you for showing us.
Awful layout. At least with the old design both sleeping areas had some privacy because the bathroom was centrally located. Now you must walk past murphy bed to use the bathroom. Wish they had left layout the same. Removed bunks and made 2nd murphy over dining table like at AoA. Still sleep but have a parent bedroom.
The layout doesn’t make much sense with the bathroom location to me. The couch bed also seems super close to the kitchen area. Thanks for giving us an early look, but it is a pass on those cabins for me.
The exterior looks more like a tiny house than a cabin. Interior looks nice. But I rather have more adventurous theming. Its Disney
17th DVC resort!?!?!
These aren't bad other than all of the off white paint. Like, all, the, remodeled, resort rooms.
Will they be dog friendly?
If you like the more rustic cabins, you might be disappointed, but I love the modern RV feel with this update. Like an RV, space is well used, and the artwork is really fun! Change is hard sometimes, but now guests can glamp. 😄❤️🤍🖤🎪
Thanks for the preview!
I think the cabins look lovely, would love to stay here someday!
Yes very modern, but I kinda like that! 💁🏼♀️
Thanks for sharing guys! ❤
Hi Josh and Jenna, thank you for showing this.. very exciting. They look gorgeous… as always it will be sad to see the original cabins go, the nostalgia of the cabins, however it’s nice to see the upgrades and see them more modern. I guess it’s called Clamping. lol 😂
Had to watch the video on mute so i could concentrate on how really nice the "cabin" looks now.
They didn’t show the outside because they look like FEMA trailers, not cabins!
Thank you so much for this experience. As I said in chat I did real estate for a bit and I love looking at this ! It was definitely a fun experience and going to watch it again
It's definitely not the same feeling anymore. They don't look like cabins and from the inside look i don't think they'll feel like cabins. They'll feel more like a modern tiny home found at other campgrounds. But since there's nothing we can do to stop Disney from making this big mistake at last we'll get a clean room and new feel. Still love the Fort.
Hi
So they are ditching the old cabins completely? I thought they were just adding these…….
The TV is not in a good spot from the couch….
I’m good with the new cabins, they can be any style, they’re not always log cabins. My main complaint is the TV position, that’s an awful viewing angle from the sofa! 🤦♀️ 🙄 I wouldn’t mind staying here for a couple days, but I wouldn’t buy this as my DVC Home Resort. There is only one layout type, no extra bedrooms and no laundry in the units.
They took all the forest/wilderness personality out of the cabins. Looks just like a regular Disney hotel room instead of a cabin.
...which are, themselves, now themed as rooms in a Day's Inn in Tempe, Arizona.
@@shugotenchi😂
This looks absolutely terrible in terms of a theming and immersiveness. The fact that it doesn't even have the remote ideology of being inside of a cabin. They should have left it alone. Not only the fact that it's a deluxe resort in the middle of people that sleep tents. this was a bad idea
