It was difficult when I learned the cancer had returned and I needed to have another chemo regimen, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised that this drug is more tolerable than the Taxol that I had two years ago. And it’s working! The latest blood test showed that the cancer markers are continuing to come down. God is good.
Since I've never been to The Attic & it's not likely I'll ever be able to, these videos give me some inkling of this fabulous shop & employees that are loved by so many. I can see why. I do wish Jean well with her treatments. My favorite among the many beautiful models is the Sampler Roll by Samplers Remembered. Those tiny little houses all in a row! Precious. Jean, you are such an inspiration to me. I just finished my 7th and final chemo but I lose my appetite for about 12 days. I go for another biopsy this month and then consult with the surgeon. I watch you and you never seem sick. Do you also have breast cancer? If mine comes back in 2 years I don’t know if I’ll have the strength to go through it again. I also have macular degeneration in both eyes (wet). I’ve had to go to 36 and 28 ct and have to shut my left eyes. I’m praying hard to God that he lets me keep what little vision I have in my right eye. I get shots in both eyes so that’s always fun. Keep up the good fight. I know you’re one strong woman.

Ruthie Burns, I think the first linen we showed was Sand Castle, and, yes, it is 53/60. It’s a Legacy linen coming from Access Commodities, once they receive it from the European linen manufacturer. It’s still not been shipped, so it will be a little wait. The model was stitched on 46ct Lakeside Linens’ Fawn.
Hi, you guys. It's so glad to see you again. Jean, I heard you say you are on Carboplatin now. I was on Carboplatin and Gemzar and the only side effects I had was a little nausea about the third day which Ativan fixed and being tired at times. Other than that, I was fine. I had radiation at the same time I was going through chemo so I think that is probably what tired me out so much. And I never lost my hair either. I'm so happy to hear you are doing well. And I hope that continues. It's so wonderful to see you and Carolyn. You guys are two crazy tarts, that you are. I love it.
Yes, Lisa, I’m also on Gemzar as well, and today they added Avastin. It’s always so encouraging when you’re in the battle to hear of success stories, so I appreciate your sharing yours. God is good, and with His grace, the treatment program will be successful and give me more time to finish all the beautiful samplers I want to stitch. Ogden Stitcher, yes, it is very beautiful, and while the colors are unusual for an antique sampler, they are very exquisite!
I prefer the original 1800's sampler verse (at 8 min) but I guess for nowadays they dont sell as well.
My 60 year old eyes can’t handle evenweave anymore. I’m upset. So it’s back to Aida that I haven’t worked in since I was a beginner.
