lol. I have the same decision. Guess it depends on your riding conditions. Personally I went for the hometown hero, but will eye up this one next year for a more for freestyle all mountain ride.

How is it different to the merc?

Directional camber profile, where as Merc has reverse camber in the nose and tail. Also Aeronaut has 5mm of taper and different construction components like a different woodcore etc.
