    Trying to escape winter Ryan and I headed north in search of big fish and clear skies. Spinning in the morning didn't go as planned so we went in search of some tasty reef fish off the cliffs. What we found was completely insane, a fish a cast for as long as we wanted. Great way to end the day with some great fish off the tall cliffs.

    Awesome! Can't help thinking though...one wrong step and you're going off the cliff as there are lots of pot holes and crevices waiting to f##k you up!

      Yeah it’s a little scary but just have to be careful and think about where your feet are going at all times

    Some great fishing there. What was your exit plan if you fell or got washed in

    • @DixonsFishing
      @DixonsFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      From that height I can’t imagine it being fun. About 1km north there is a bay you could exit from safely. Life jacket would give you time to either swim there or wait for help to come if I had to call it with a PLB.

    what size jigheads were you using?

    • @DixonsFishing
      @DixonsFishing  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Normally 1/2-1oz sizes because of how high up we where

    Is this further north or south from the block? Looks like the rocks are flatter. I have a bad foot and it has always been difficult just to walk from the hartog Hilton to the block, then fishing from there is also hard for me. I am going back there April next year so would really like to try this spot or any other that is more manageable for my foot.

    • @DixonsFishing
      @DixonsFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is about a 1km walk from the car over rocks the entire way. It’s much harder to access than the block main ledge unfortunately

      @@DixonsFishing Ah, well. No worries. Thanks for the info. I will stick to the places and beaches closer to the dirt roads (car park) then.
