Ryan was definitely more cool enough. I love his slightly bewildered "whyyy?"

O filme é muito bom. E dessa nova geração de atores Wagner Moura (Brasileiro) e Ryan Gosling(Canadense) são os melhores no momento.Drive é um filme fantástico.

I don’t know what to think of Refn’s comment. Couldn’t he just have said, “It was unacceptable” and stop? Von Tier’s comments were absolutely ridiculous, typical of geniuses that have terrible social skills, which is common. I felt sad that Melancholia was tainted by this event, for it is one of the most stunning movies I have ever seen. My first thought was that Refn was trying to please the international movie industry. But, anyhow, Refn also got me with Drive, another stunning movie.

I don’t see anything wrong with Refn’s comment but the end in which he says that Von Trier can do whatever he wants. I’m Italian and we have the same problem with fascism.

I've already seen the movie, so it doesn't really bother me, but next time you should consider a spoiler tag so that you don't ruin the people who haven't seen it's experience.

@aaoppe I agree completley not he is my favorite actor and extremely talented he is also a down to earth guy as it seems. If you havent seen it watch him break up the street fight in New York he has no prob stepping in and creates peace.

Why Von Tier's comments affect Refn is that they are both Jews. Von Tier had recently learned that his dad was not his real dad, that he had been a German. In his Cannes interview for Melancholia, he went on and on about being a Nazi and understanding Hitler, it was tragic and embarrassing and because Denmark is so small, it would affect people in the film industry indirectly. Von Tiers was banned, look for the video of that interview, poor Kirsten Dunst is squirming in her seat.
