Jordan Bronson You can make it work with a pc fan I did it with a wood gas stove with drip fed oil, I tried rockwool with drip fed oil but the rockwool kept meling!

I now have the burner installed in a tank style furnace and run between 3-8psi. You can go higher but it really doesn't have any effect. I run at 3-5psi to save oil once the garage is heated up. Compressor has 60 gallon tank and it runs once every half hour for a few minutes
I cant get my siphon nozzle to make that kind of flame really, its basicly 2 inches out of the flame tube - max. And its unstable as hell. Can't really produce any useful heat with it at all.. kinda annoying.. :|
I built it and know how it works. It uses the compressed air to pull or suck the oil through the nozzle. Gravity helps use less air pressure. Don't want my compressor running all the time
@@johnrambler544 Fair enough, but it would be more convincing if the upper level of the bucket was below the jet during demonstration. thanks for your response on the 2014 post
@@nedgligich I agree with you, the level of the oil needs to be no higher than the centre line of the jet. The best burn is achieved by getting a regulated flow of oil up to the nozzle. The way its set up in the video once gravity takes effect in the pipework the nozzle will overfuel. The nozzle needs to suck up oil from the venturi effect of the nozzle rather than the effects of gravity. Gravitational syphon effect will make it burn unpredictabally. If its made so the air pressure draws the oil through the nozzle (like a spraygun) it becomes controllable, and the burn is then very ajustable, and will burn much more completely and leaner.

Any details onthe build. Assume you are using a Delevan Nozzle in there?

That is very rich flame. Is that pure used oil? Light up so easy, im making something similar and having some trouble running pure oil
I get best flame when oil is warm
This was filmed in summer. Route your oil feed so that it warms itself.

it wont wrk friend , they dont pump enough air , you can use an old vacuum cleaner blower though

Simple but effective. How many psi are you running?

you cant say its suction if the bucket is above the outlet and you operate a ball valve to start the flow ???
