I haven’t gotten a very close look at your eyeshadow palettes, but from what I can see it looks like the second shadow you chose is a shimmer shade and not a glitter. Shimmer can appear to be very sparkly, but the shininess comes from the pigment itself, the Micah is shiny. Whereas with true glitters, the sparkles are much chunkier as the sparkle comes from larger add ins, like plastic glitter. I’m sure other types of glitter exist to that aren’t plastic, but that much is beyond my knowledge. :)

I would suggest buying non-mica pigments for paint (they have common names and then names like "PB-11". They are more expensive but it's what the major paintmakers use (like daniel smith). It ends up being economical to make your own long term (it's cheaper than buying artist grade paints long run) but up front investment scares most people as it can cost over 100 dollars for a small selection of good pigments but a typical 200ml bottle of pigment will last you probably the rest of your life lol. That and most artists mix convenience colors like greens. Typically my palette is around 12 colors but I actually combine pigments for a paynes grey (burnt sienna and ultramarine) so I have that mixed color since I use it constantly. So I have one cool and one warm of each primary, yellow ochre, burnt sienna and then the paynes grey I make by combining 2 pigments and I also make a white gouache to go in. (Pretty similar to watercolor but you can use french chalk to make it more opaque). Especially if you're going to sell stuff I'd go with real pigments rather than mica since mica isn't really considered top of the line for paints. It's fine and works ok but most professionals don't use it.

mica isn't the main ingredient in most paints. It's the ingredient in iridescent paints. If you want to make nice watercolors you might want to buy actual pigments from someplace like jackson's or a pigment supplier.

I started making my own watercolors with eye shadow too. You can also just reuse the empty eye shadow tin for the paints as well. I found eyeshadow watercolor to be more like gouache than watercolor. There are a lot of places to get lightfast pigments, even liquid displaced ones so you don't need a respirator, such as Kremer pigments, Gambling, Sennelier, Holbein, Schmincke, etc.
I also use clove oil and honey in my paints without the glysterin.

Ok just finished watching and I actually go dry pigment/eyeshadow to dry gum arabic then slowly add the water this helps with clumps and insures the gun arabic is evenly distributed when ground dry with the glass muller. I use a dollar tree scraper used for cricut burnishing to scoopy scoop my finished paint. 😊

Glass cutting board, and liquid gum Arabic worked better for me (easier to mix for sure). Distilled water DOES make a big difference with how everything sets. Use a drop of clove oil in your binder (literally 1-3 drops in the whole batch) and the honey to help your binder last longer. This was really fun to watch.

It would be so cool to see you get into bookbinding or making a junk journal! Feel like a lot of us have scraps of paper just laying around that could be put to better use, plus if you make your own journal/sketchbook you could specifically make it left handed !
Also, if you already have a needle and thread, it's free! Ofc a curved needle and waxed twine are more durable, but for starting out, using embroidery floss and an embroidery needle is equally fine, and cheaper too

as additional context to why you technicaly can but shouldnt accessively drink distilled water; since its so devoid of all nutrients and stuff, the destilled water inside you creates a concentration gradient. What that means is basicaly molecules always wanna even out their concentration, so when they can travel to a low concentration area you bet your sweet butt they will. And thus through the colonary membrane that usualy lets nutrients go from outside a cell into a cell, the nutrients leave your cells and body, getting flushed out with the water. so yeah tiny science lesson on your art video i hope you like it xD

Watercolor and ink are my preferred media and I make my own watercolor. Eyeshadow is very usable but some brands have a minute amount of glycerine which is used in some watercolors to help with resetting one the pan is dry. The main issue you may run into is light fastness. Makes great cards that won't be hung up on a wall so you can give them out without having to use your pro-watercolors. Honey also helps with rewetting I just don't like how long it takes for them to dry in the pan of they ever do.
