Your interview with SBSK was one of the first videos I watched on that channel. Chris is such a special human being. I remember thinking to myself, “How can I understand better a stuttering girl from the Netherlands than over half the people in the UK?”
But seriously, your approach is the best one imo. A happy life is a fulfilled life. A fulfilled life is a life well-lived. Who cares about a stutter? There are loads of fluent and miserable people. Stutter and be happy ❤

I watched your interview two years ago and I remember how you mentioned you had anxiety and OCD. I remember relating so much I decided to follow your Instagram channel. At the time, I was struggling to cope with life changes, and realized, "hey, maybe what I'm dealing with is OCD and anxiety?". My family doesn't really talk much about mental health so it was eye-opening to find out that anxiety was actually a mental condition. I love watching your comic strips too. Thank you for putting yourself out there for the sake of bringing awareness. It helped me so much during my darkest times.

Hi, Willemijn! I wanna ask a question, do u have face tics when you stutter? Cause I often have that when I'm stutter and I think some pws have that too.

@@holaa624 Hey, I don't think I have them much, but I know what you mean. A lot of my friends who stutter have them, it's very common.

@@holaa624I’ve developed a bad habit of doing physical movements to try to get my words out. It does help, believe it or not… but I know I shouldn’t do it

Your SBSK interview is how I got introduced to you! You’ve done a lot of great work since then and be sure to keep it up. Made me realize that there’s more people who stutter then just me 😂

I enjoy your videos so much!
It's amazing to see how your attitude towards your stutter and anxiety changed them and enabled you to become the beautiful person you are now.

its so interesting, because when I saw you on SBSK, all I could think about was how cute and cool you were.... i was thinking something like, "wow she's lucky to be who she is, everyone she knows must love her so much, i wish i was more like her." and the fact that i'm watching your videos now is proof of how i felt... i only watch people on youtube who i feel slightly jealous of, because i want their goodness to rub off on me, lol.
that's just my perspective, as a random person on the internet. i understand that you see it differently. we all see ourselves so differently from how others see us, and we're all so irrationally insecure.

Haha, I love your honesty and sincere...ity! It made me feel happy to read that you thought of me like that (let's leave in the middle whether it is accurate or not, haha😉). Just by your comment I can tell you spread a lot of positivity and honesty and those are awesome personality traits. 😊💚 (And I can relate a lot to all the things we think about other people)

The way you look at yourself in playback.....I get it. I am curious how you found someone who stutters to be friends with lol, sometimes it seems I'm all alone in the U.S.

There are online stuttering groups for the US, there is Stamily for internationals, and real life meetups for people who stutter! You are not alone 💚

At a certain point in this video. I noticed that your stutter wasn't even registering in my mind anymore. I was just listening to what you were saying.
It was when you got to the comment saying you should be practising speech exercises or whatever that I remembered.
Like you say, there's cooler things to spend your time and energy on. We all only have so much.
I think your art is a much more fulfilling thing to spend your energy on than slightly improving a stutter I stopped noticing after a few minutes.

Miss, if it s not a mind-game , and spirit and soul then what is it all about? You obviously changed for the better in this video,so you obviously made changes in your mind ,spirit, and soul, and your achieving the better results. Wait till you get out in the big bad world on your own and the pressure is on. Will you strive to remain in control and get better or are you going to break? Life is tough, its a daily battle. I was like you when i was your age. Now that im older i wish someone told me how important it was that I control myself, And my stutter because if affected EVERY part of my life for the worse. Just like your art, if your don’t practice and change you don’t grow and be a better artist. If art is your career, then its your business, business is people, that involves communication, the better you are the more successful you can be. Anyway , peace and happiness to you. P.s. that what i said…to much work, to hard. Its ok , im fine…all pathetic excuses …you’ll see how that works out for you in the long run. Nothing rewarding comes from taking the easy road… nothing.

    • @juststutter
      @juststutter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

You are telling me to do a lot of things, but people simply have different experiences and different things that help them. I always thought taking the hard road was useful and actually leading me somewhere, but it wasn't. Only the ego finds it important to take the hard road, because the easy road is 'weak'. Well, so be it.
I'm already working as an artist, doing phonecalls and communicating/networking to get clients. My stutter actually helps in this, because people remember me. I'm sorry your life is tough, but it's not helpful to project that on others. Perhaps the need to control is what is causing the problems.

Seems like it's stress related because the kids that stuttered in school would stutter way worse if they had to read in front of the class and you seem to stutter alot less under less pressure. I hope you didn't get bullied too much for it as im sure if you went to public school you classmates would pick on you for it. Best of luck to you in the future.

Yea I was bullied. Stress is not the cause of stuttering but it can make me stutter more.
