    He is always so present, so humble, he is so talented, his performance in Elvis is mind blowing.

      Isn't just a sweetheart! I had no expectations of liking Elvis before I watched it but he blew me away. Incredible performance and even better that Lisa Marie loved it and him too

      @ Danny Sofia Q.,
      Yes, he has all of those strengths & I' m happy for him, he will need every one of them to adjust to these rather sudden changes in his career. And I whole-heartedly believe he nailed the role of Elvis. His ability to get into Elvis' s character like that, did blow me away too,--- just like "kchesh48" said!!
      He' s just phenomenal!

    Boy went from Nickelodeon to Broadway to being Elvis Presley himself!

      @ Miss Shah,
      Yes, I agree he has moved UP》the ladder
      in his acting career quite quickly. I hope he can "up scale" @ a pace he can mentally & emotionally handle this. I guess it' s something I think about, having been a mother of 3 sons. My sons are between 13-18 years OLDER than Austin. Still @ their age, I believe it'd be a big challenge for them to make such a jump in a Hollywood
      Career. Just the lack of privacy factor would be a killer to adjust to. I know he doesn' t have a mom anymore to sit down w/and share his feeling/of appreciation or fear in adjusting to these changes. He looked up to Lisa Marie so much,---she was probably pretty close to his mom' s age.
      Now she's s gone too.
      A lot of changes in short period of time. Matter of fact it' s probably close to a decade since his mom passed away. Even though, I' m not his mom, I guess mom' s "mind's" may just go in to auto-pilot & think of how hard it must be not having her to talk to about these matters.
      But he has no chose, he' ll just need to. He's ll just need to make adjustments.
      I' m actually having trouble with understanding the comments which are in foreign languages. Do you know what language this is? Could this be Spanish? Are you able to understand their comments?

      He is in fact incredibly nice and genuine; he is very humble, kind and soft-spoken, and it's even more amazing in person, he has a unique energy.

    What a foretelling! He later would get into Tarantino and Luhrmann ‘s orbit. He didn’t even know it yet here!

  • @janetweissman

    The tone of his voice is not that different from the “Elvis” voice. So everyone can stop with the comments that he changed it.

    • @DYA9091
      @DYA9091  ปีที่แล้ว +26

      As you go through the interview and he relaxes a bit you can literally hear his voice is the same as now, he used to talk faster and higher (pitch) when he was nervous, anxious and stressed, thankfully he has more confidence in himself now, and more ways to deal with his social anxiety.

    • @crow7843
      @crow7843 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Agreed, he has the same voice, it just has become richer and deeper with vocal training. (And age, of course.) But I think it's weird, with all the drama around his 'Elvis voice' that people don't seem to realize how vocal training can give the voice more depth and breadth. It's not a different voice, just a deeper dive into your own voice!

      Janet Weissman. Amen! I have spent so much time knocking people off this demonstrably false pedestal online these last several months. After a while, I couldn't help but see it as a hostile targeted attempt to beat this man down before he'd had a chance to fully emerge. Thank you for NOT HAVING IT, too!

    Austin seemed a little nervous at this interview, little did he know he would be nominated for best actor portraying the king of rock n role! What a ride Austin has been on. His career is going to skyrocket rocket. He is amazing.

      He is nervous most of the time, he is very shy, and has social anxiety, but thankfully he has been gaining more and more confidence in himself ❤️🙌🏻, he is very strong!!

    Es tan inspirador, siempre aprendes con él algo nuevo. Me encanta que sepa darse a sí mismo un respiro, que se atreva a desaparecer por un tiempo, a apagar el móvil... cómo persona tímida que soy le entiendo perfectamente, me encanta que cuide su salud mental de esa forma. Adoro sus gestos, adoro que piense cada respuesta, que sea tan profundo en sus ideas y pensamientos. Se merece todo el éxito que tiene. Gracias por traer a Elvis a mi vida, Austin. Espero que mañana gane el Oscar.

      Well Vanessa by now you have probably heard AUSTIN didn' t get that Oscar we all wanted him to win. That just feels so unjust,---after how hard he worked on this role.

      I’d love to see scenes of him from this play. Denzel saw how special he was. And from the beginning of rehearsals he took a personal interest in Austin, guiding him, advising him, teaching him, helping him. So it was no wonder Denzel wanted Austin to be in Baz’s radar.

    I don't think his voice
    in reality has changed
    from before he played Elvis. In the interviews I have seen since then he sounds the
    same as here, very laid back and quiet. I don't see where people think his voice
    changed. He never sounded just like Elvis, just more the essence, IMO.
