A big update has dropped today for TSW5 that includes further improvements to the West Coast Main Line South route, including memory optimisations to help support performance, as well as other key fixes and updates to the Class 350. Additionally, Skyhook Games has provided a wide range of new features for the ScotRail Class 158, including Guard Mode functionality, new suspension improvements, an auto-announcer and a new Leven Rail Link livery and much more. This also includes a new timetable for the ScotRail Express Edinburgh to Glasgow route, with further details shared below.

Great update, and a good video... all that was missing was an Inter7City livery on that HST 😉
Ye we really need the HST in scotrail livery. Would make the route far better. Love that the ex-GWR HST transfer is represented but would love to see it in Scotrail or even in First Great Western liveries

This is probably one of my favourite updates!
If dovetail released an updated version of GWE with OLE to Reading you could have the 80Xs, 387s, 166s, and 43s (and 66s) all running side by side like they did for a few years in real life, that would have a lot of variation of services to drive, especially with some of the modern IETs stopping at Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford it wouldn’t all be non-stop or one stop services on the fast lines like it is for the HSTs at the moment.
Thing is I think there are secret plans for this as in the cab of the 801 it says destination London Paddington and it says Next Station Swindon. Why have this if its never going to happen, and there is no current Swindon railway station in TSW, so for me this could be a big indication as to what is to come from TSW5 even if they don’t have the GWR branding it would be a must have for TRAIN SIM WORLD
There are no plans for an electrified version at this time I'm afraid. Once GBR take over services perhaps but as it stands there is no license to sell new GWR products. Hopefully when GBR starts to take over train operators (starting with C2C/SWR/Greater Anglia next year) Dovetail will be able to get a license and that will greatly increase the routes they can create.
Spot on mate thanks for the great video again, didnt realise this update was coming. it's come as a nice surprise. Will liven up this route and make it more playable with the layers.
It’s a pity with these services from Perth and further north that they can’t start just off the main route instead of at Croy or Polmont if going to Edinburgh

Wouldn't that take a major redesign as all the interior is different and the coaches have sliding doors ?
@@animaltvi9515 Interior isn't too different since the ScotRail ones are ex FGW
@Joshthetrainspotter85 they got refurbished to include automatic doors. . So, would need the existing HSTs to be remodelled . . The interior was changed to scot rail interior.. . That's why there isn't a proper livered one in the game.

I have a Series S and for the first time last night I was able to run a service on the Pendalino from Milton Keynes to Euston without a crash. However, as soon as I went to free roam (after the service ended), it immediately crashed.🤷♂ I guess this is still an improvement 😅?
Interesting. I am hearing that Series S is not having a good time. I mention it in todays video...should be out in the next hour
@@TinTin_57 Look forward to the video! I was able to play Flight Simulator 2020 without issues, so in my simple mind, I would think Train Sim would work on the S. The 2024 version of Flight Sim wasn't working for me on the S and that's what brought me to TSW about a month ago (so I'm still very new I guess). But - I've gotten addicted! I absolutely love it! I've bought several routes; however, I'm nervous to buy more if there's going to be performance issues. I know I could upgrade or buy a PC, but that's just not in the budget at this time. Again, thanks for the videos!
Just tried the WCML South update. Pants. Still crashed between Camden and Euston. And I'm running the S down on 1080p. 😪
Crashed for me too outside Euston on PS5. I did notice a slight pause every time a creators club livery 350 went past me. I removed them and it went fine. Just a theory that it’s related so not sure if you have liveries downloaded
@@TinTin_57 Didn't get any crashes on PS5 but still random very big FPS drops throughout the route.

Can I use the azuma if I own just Edinburgh to Glasgow
The Azuma is coming from ECML so you will just need that and you will see it
@TinTin_57 nice one mate. Seen before people use mods with it but great now we get more layers and playable stuff.
@@TinTin_57 I have ECML, Edi-Glasgow, Fife Circle (but no Class 158) on PC. I don't see any Azuma services in the EDi-Glas or Fife Circle routes. Additionally, I see no updated Edi-Glasgow timetable. Which route were you driving withe HST? Fife? Any ideas why I don't see any of these updates. It did down load a load before I started it today.
@ I the route I was driving was the Edinburgh Glasgow. You do own the 158 I assume already?
@TinTin_57 no I don't. I only own azuma, 43 and 66 on Edinburgh to Glasgow. And 385. Don't own the 158. Do I have to have 158 to have the added layers????

I had a look at the layers in this new timetable, according to it there should be a layer for the petroleum cargo line dlc. It shows as not owned, however I do own it. Anyone has this?

I have a few routes saying that on ps5 ..I own all so I’m clearly missing anything …just ignore it ..if u own it and installed then it’s clearly another bug ..personally for me its been like this few months
Suspension on 158 they said made mistake and not added that
Correct yes, they corrected it after my video was out unfortunately
I would like to see a new line going from Glasgow Queen Street to Anniesland station that would be good on the branch line
Also the 158 is only drivable on free roam and scenario planner ..only ai do timetable which is a shame
