My 2nd car was a 1994 Crown Vic ex-cop car. I bought it at the age of 22 but it was the first car I purchased with my own $$$$$ and ever since the Panther platform has had a hold on me. I've owned 4 Crown Vic and 1 Lincoln Town Car. Today my daily driver is an 08 Crown Vic ex-police. I'm the type of person who drives 25k a year and none of those cars I've had in the past never let me down.
My dad owned a ‘93 and a ‘99 at different times in my life and I got to drive both of them regularly and the 93 had a built Mustang 4.6 with cams and dual exhaust a built transmission and 3.73 gears. He beat the crap out of that thing and it was done full ‘Interceptor’ trim in refrigerator white with steelies and dog dishes and used to get mistaken for an undercover a lot. The ‘99 was white with blue interior and was literally a ‘little old lady’ one owner car that he sold a few years later when he stopped traveling for work. I think both cars are still running with their current owners to this day.
I am 20 years old and I have an 06 Mercury grand marquis or MGM for short and I love it. It has just past 80k miles on it. I am not afraid to drive it either. Already went through three catalytic converters still don’t regret my purchase hasn’t left me stranded yet so.
Honestly, in this economy too much... but the used car bubble is coming down a little... I'd say 2500$ - 3500$ is fair. list it at 4 and work your way down!
Bruh. My car is the same year 2004 it’s not a crown Vic but it’s a Chevy impala. It’s a ls. Tons of aftermarket parts for it, less than only 2k for mine. currently not uploading cause I’m building a bodykit for it. but check it out imma give a full depth guide why to ford, dodge and Chevy cars from 1989-2010 are great first cars

Well as you probably know 2000 is 1500 lol so yeah id take it if the rest is good.... no frame rot, interior is decent, and lines look good. 2000 is too much unless its flawless other than what you mentioned!
@@powertoyz 2000 canadian dollars* it’s rust free but yea it does have those issues I mentioned + the heat doesn’t work but ac does so maybe blend door. Or I can go with the 98 grand marquis GS from the grandma with 67k miles lol for $3800 canadian everything working afaik I just really like the aero body styling
@mineman-wo1hi ah ok so like 1k u.s... idk what the crown vic market is up there, but the 98 sounds like a better deal. Iether one youll have a great car! I used to dislike the aerobody now i love them! The tailights and the extra windows are pretty cool. Also alittle more rare
@mineman-wo1hi the main issue you will find driving is the Ford wideeeee steering. You'll have to tighten the steering box. Also CHECK THE BRAKE LINES. These cars also rust out inside the frame behind the rear wheels too!

Police ones are cool, but they definitely have higher idle hours, so you have to keep that in mind.
@@powertoyz Right. It's a good thing they have idle-hour meters. My current Crown Vic has 2000 idle hours, which I don't think is too bad for a 2008.

Congrats on a fineee purchase!
@@powertoyz thanks
I have a 1997 in the same color with 48000 miles.
Wow! Mustve sat most of its life. How's the paint?
Owned a 82 Grand Marquis Coupe. Would buy another. Very good car. I have friends that have owned or do own one. Mostly Mercurys. 😊
Cool! Yeah, they are slightly more luxurious. All great cars!
I have a 2007 Lincoln Town Car with only 28k miles. Beautiful Car. !!! You are right Sir, these Panthers are great. !!!! ❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I love those aerobody crown vics!
You dont see as many of them...
I got one in my garage...
Good, you made a great choice!
I got a 97 Buick regal four months ago running great
If it came with the 3800 series, they are bulletproof. Expect a long ownership!
Oh also they stopped building them in 2011, not 2010. !!!
What do you think is a fair price for a 2004 Crown Victoria with 147,600 miles and in good condition?

97 crownvic, $2000. 146k miles. Has worn out shocks, failed ABS wheel speed sensor, but it seems solid. Should I?

@@powertoyz I test drove it today. I didn’t test drive that grand Marquis yet but I don’t think I will. The Crownvic drove nice even with its quirks

I would get one if not for the gas mileage. Toyota or Honda sedans get WAY more MPG.
But also way more money to get into. I get 17 city up to 30 hwy
@@powertoyz True
@Succer if you are rural or a highway driver, you will hardly notice a difference.
@@powertoyz I drive in the suburbs a lot. Not usually highway.
