I am in chronic pain, have been for many years. I find that neurographic art “ ignites my soul”, and calms me,! I want to be a FABULOUS artist , like you. But this kind of loose work helps me. Thank you
I am so glad you are finding it helpful. I also live with chronic pain, for about 15 years now. Art really helps me feel good mentally which definitely is a positive effect on how I handle the pain. Neurographic art helps rewire the brain, which in chronic pain can just go haywire. So in the rewiring, it helps the brain stop focusing on the pain which helps treat the pain. The brain is very powerful and art is too! Keep doing your art, it is so good for you! 😀
I hadn't heard of "acrylic paper", but was relieved to click the link & see you used watercolor paper for "Watercolors, Mixed Media, Markers" = something i already have & now I know I don't have to have yet one more designated supply cubby!! ;-) As usual with your posts: love the helpful details & o/c, the end result!
I’m so glad the info was helpful! 😊 And yes, watercolor paper works perfectly for mixed media, so no need to stress about adding another supply to the collection! 😅 My goal is also to use the supplies I have and not purchase more. Also, I do not live anywhere near a craft/art store....make do with what I have. 😀 Thank you for your kind words-I’m so happy you enjoyed the process and the result! 🎨💖
Thank you. I’m new to all this. My pain management doc suggested neographic or doodling in a sketchbook. I’m trying my best, but loving finding so many lovely creators online. ❤
It is wonderful that your pain management doctor is using art as a healing medium. I am hoping art helps you. It is a wonderful way to live and love life! Healing thoughts to you!
I watch this and another video of yours. They’re so beautiful and inspiring. I can’t believe you have so little engagement. I’m working on one inspired by your white pen video now. I’m new to art and slow drawing. It’ll be done when it gets done ❤
Liked the demo & you've provided some doodle patterns I haven't seen before or thought of: including those in my "try these when stumped" binder. :-) TFS
¡Cuidarse! 😊
I love this video! I'm about to get out my supplies and give it a try. A bit of feedback is that the sound is very faint even with the video and my laptop volume is all the way up 🙂
Thank you very much for your feedback. It's unfortunate that since it has been uploaded I cannot change it now. I am sorry about that. But thanks for letting me know as I will look out for this going forward. I am glad you enjoyed the video anyway. Have fun painting!
the volume on my tablet was just fine & the same as with any other TH-cam post. no offense intended, but I'm thinking the volume issue was on the user's end.
Hi! enjoyed your video. you mentioned you sometimes jot down patterns of doodles of patterns of shapes of doodles you "try" in a book or paper, in this video. is there anyway you might be willing to show this "book" or how you do this as a reference for yourself for future thought processing of art creations? I think i might be interested in seeing how you do this. I see things on videos like this then as time goes by i usually forget what i've seen. Then when I'm doing a creation and I need a bunch of different doodles I always seem to run out of ideas and the thought having a reference book to go to would be nice to have. thanks in advance. Melissa
I plan on adding that to my list of videos to make. What might help you is to get a sketchbook. Get a small one where you can keep it with you all the time. When I see a pattern, like say today I looked at a flower pot I have and noticed it has indents in squares that are not symmetrical. I added that to my pattern page. Look around you at textures and things like that. Draw them in your sketchbook, then you have your very own collection.
Maybe the sharpie was not set yet. Let the paper dry for about 15 minutes before painting. Also I’ve found that even permanent pens and markers are not always permanent, depends on the paper. Test the marker out on different papers.

@@timh7246 That's entirely possible. I was just listening to other vids and didn't have the problem, so I thought I'd mention it.
I think it’s just your laptop because the volume was perfect through my phone. My laptop is exactly the same way. I haven’t figured out a fix for it.

Beautiful! My sharpie runs when I add water. Any ideas?
