I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this! We’ve all been there, walking away with nothing to show for all your efforts, this is real fishin! “You gotta be in it to win it kid” as the old man would say😅
Really like that rig, particularly for using Whiting as the live bait. They don't stay very live once reeled in and put back out there. Perfect solution.
Nice video Wayne, I’m a new subscriber and a returning angler after a 17 year absence. Ive been back in the game 4 weeks and to date have caught 1 DAB and 1006 Whiting so this video offered me some respite from the bait thieves. Great quality videos by the way and very informative
Hi Wayne nice video mate….. it really is a waiting game livebaiting but the rewards can be fabulous!! You use a very similar setup to me so I guess that gives me confidence!! Cheers ian
Really enjoy your vids 👍,love the fact you’re not too precious to leave out the blooper bits. Certainly don’t blame you for trying a different method,go big or go home 😂😂🐟🎣
Hi Wayne nice video the thing with fishing is you don't try you never know. I have had cod on small whitting that have taken the bait and Mr cod has taken the whitting. Weather will permitting hope to fish Chesil in 2 weeks time.
Wayne whers fishing best down there mate, been watching for the past few weeks and enjoying the channel mate, keep up the gd fishing mate fingers crossed, do mussels and prawn work on chesil!!
Great video Wayne, was you down past the teeth? I was just before. Tried a small pouting close range for a bass but no takers. Was expecting a decent day after that storm
all of my chesil cod have come on livebait rigs they work so well when the pin whiting and small pouts about dosnt work locally for the cod as the average whiting size is all well over a pound lol
U want a smaller bottom hook by a long shot lol... Should also title the vid live baiting for bass as that's what your more likely to catch with that rig, even in winter cod season on chesil
I just find with this method you miss too many bites, even more so using a circle on top. Try a smaller bottom hook and a 6.0 manta for the top. You won't miss half as many bites as your hook point is better exposed. If I'm at ferry bridge il cast a plain bomb out and then slide a pout down the line with 2x 5.0 manta 545. If I'm other side of bexi il rig it up and drop it out by hand. Pout normally push out further past the breakers but doesn't work so well with the whiting as they seem to lose their strength faster
Hey Wayne....is there a way to reach you ? Keen to talk about the drone fishing I do that allows a large live to be lowered down at very lo g distances. Let me know if u wnana chat and we can meet up at some point at chesil.
Well bit like buying lottery ticket..but hey gotta be in it to win it !! I've done it previously long odds tho, wondering what % catch rate you've had wayne. Despite sounding like Ricky Gervais :) I'm forgiving you 🙂👌. I like/get ur vibe no "big I am" , hope some viewers appreciate how easy you make it for them . Maybe subscribe as a thanks 😊
Hi mate thanks for the positive comments, I appreciate it. Maybe 2 or 3 Bass a year. I don't do it all the time. I've had dogs, eels also doing it. Thanks again

I always fish for a small pouting or whiting then send it out on a sliding live bait rig works for me 👍
Just watched your video for the first time totally enjoyed it just subscribed to your channel looking forward to watching more 🎣👍
Nice vid Bud. I prefer to use fixed wire leads when live baiting so the bait can't break out the lead.
Really enjoy your vids 👍,love the fact you’re not too precious to leave out the blooper bits. Certainly don’t blame you for trying a different method,go big or go home 😂😂🐟🎣
Just thought, the other thing is there are other species which will take a live bait too, especially on Chesil.
@@kevinbuckler1085 Congers and Bass will take live baits.
It looks like your fishing the Bridging camp.
Great video Wayne, with brilliant advice, I will try the ring looks great. 🎣

I had stingers out all weekend off selsey plenty of whitening on but nothing but conga.
Great video Wayne, what make and size circle hooks did you use? What about the worm hook?
Brilliant as always mate! A bit off topic but when you use a fixed spool do you like to use a casting canon or a finger stall? Thank you
