So glad it wasn’t just me fighting with that drilling rig. 😂 you’ll have worked it out I’m sure but you need to raise the auger all the way up until it stops rotating and then right stick left and right will shake it out. Away from the hole.
I was excoriated early in my construction career that you do not pour concrete, you place it.
When you spend that skill point I want to hire you, I only dream of a smooth slab without voids these days.
Hello Mr Sealyp, I myself have just finished the bridge build and I have a few important tips for u.
1st and very important, when u are in the menu and on the page where u except the job, then before u except it go to the left hand side of the page. Where it says scope of work and using the up arrow on your d pad u can change the scope of work to low, medium or high and it changes the value of the job. For example your bridge build u will get seven hundred thousand, I did mine on high and got paid 1.4 million for the same work.
2nd the drill rig using the right stick lift/right quickly a few times will clean the drill bit.
Myself I'm loving the game and I hope u keep doing the videos as and when u have the time, hope those tips help u moving forward.
That was a great episode I learned something about the mobile drill I would use a crane to place the pipe bits, oh the soil you need to raise the whole thing up and use your right analogy stick L+R to remove the soil, as for the mobile crane get the most expensive 1 it has great reach myself I have almost completed all campaign contracts 👍👍👍
No that's not how you get it off you have to shake the machine left to right nd no you can't use the crane for the bits
I had to skip the concrete portion for the drilling because it was bugged out

After watching: Yeah, that's about right. The rotary drill is trial and error, but very satisfying when you finally figure it out! Btw, you shake out the dirt while in operations mode, not driving mode, by moving the right stick left and right in a fast rhythm, which will spin just the augur and not the whole cab. Always fun to learn new things! Funny, I didn't have that problem with the concrete pump when I did support column part. The game is fun, but still needs A LOT of work. They've added a development roadmap to the main menu, so at least they plan on supporting this game for several years.
Buy concrete bucket at material shop.... then you can use crane instead of the pump.
Mobile crane and concrete mixer seem to be two good candidates for a first purchase.

You will need the drill again when you do the boat launch I think if I remember rightly or The Boathouse yeah getting the dirt off the drill right stick toggle left and right quickly try that

The concrete fiasco is strange. On pc it wouldn't show the new formwork until you move the boom out of the way, giving you a chance to readjust for the next pour.

You just rotate drillpipe clockwise / anti clock back and forth to get rid of dirt
The pump arm got stuck because you accepted the job with a Medium scope. Each section you poured added 2 sections raising the forms up twice as high as I experienced when I did the job because I have been changing the scope to High for all jobs. I imagine that Low job scope would be even worse. TBF, it should ask you to move the pump out of the way before it builds the next form.
I am a retired electrician and have done a fair amount of line work. IRL, when you drill a hole with a line truck you use the same procedure to clean the auger that is required in this game - you remove the auger from the hole, swing it to the side and quickly alternate the rotation of the auger from CW to CCW to shake off the dirt. An experienced lineman creates a pile of dirt on both sides of the hole just far enough away so the dirt doesn't sluff back into the hole but close enough to make it easier to refill the void with a shovel after setting the pole.
You have to extend your pump boom all the way up, then lower it until you see green, you want a nice tall arc above the forms.
On high job scope, you have to the other side of the river also, drill, concrete, etc... but you get more money.
D-Pad UP shortcut to vehicles where you get in too them and return them etc. D-Pad Right is "Contracts".

In the last video I noticed you sold the low loader trailer
How did you rotate the object you had hanging perpendicular. And you have to raise the auger considerably higher than make it rotate backward and forward quickly to get the dirt to fall off. Becarefull as to where you do it. It will cause an issue in the ability to move the drill into the other various positions it needs to be for the other holes. One more thing, you can utilize the boom on either the flat bed truck or the tractor to install the cans vs the hook on the drill.
Handy hint for future reference, you commented you hadn't noticed being charged for Fast Travel in some instances. Sometimes it is free, generally when returning to your own garage. If you look in the Locations display, not the Map though unfortunately, it shows you how much it will cost to Fast Travel to each place. You can save yourself a few bob here and there by going to the nearest Vehicle Dealeer etc, but generally the difference is negligible.

Man, I got so confused by that drill
Not yet watched this video, just gonna say that I'm curious to see how you handle the deep drill, cuz I had issues with it. I work around these things at least twice a week in real life, so I know exactly what it's supposed to look like as it progresses through the task. I gave up on it and skipped the task after a couple days of headaches and frustration, let's see how MrSealyP does with it.

Are you aware that you don’t have to keep driving back to reload vehicles, if you press square and bring up the menu you have a segment at 10 that says refill. Choose the item you want and press x an

Oh dear. Drilling. That pos is is buggy as heck. I can not get it past 75% no matter what i do(not on this job, one in Europe). And loads of people have same issue drilling for the bridge getting stuck at around 90+%.
You can use the Crane Bucket to pour the columns if you like :) And welcome to the wonderful world of Bugged out Concrete Pumps that get stuck in Mixer when reset and other joyous moments. Oh the laughs we old have had if it was funny
You do know that the pump is mobile... reposition your pump

The more I watch the more annoying this game seems. I get there is a learning curve, but I mean just in general. Happy to be watching others play it though, just don't think this one is for me.

No wonder you get so little work done. Between all your talking to yourself and all the rookie mistakes there's hardly any time left to play the game

I played this on PC the game has glitches my drill rig wouldnt finish the job I had to skip part of the task.
