Nice review Charles! Seeing you figure it out is more helpful than just seeing a bunch of strikes out the gate. I liked how you showed the difference with hitting it with a 2k pad. I knocked the gloss off my last new ball with a 3k CTD so it wouldn't blow past the breakpoint. It's all about cutomizing the ball to get the best look that suits your style. Folks who are rev dominant may be okay with keeping the RG finish. Keep Rollin Rollin Rollin Rollin!
Love your reviews. You could do two lane reviews that way you could do one on the fresh for half the video and finish on the lane condition its supposed to be play on. That you get a fair look from both
Charles as you shared pearl would be the ball you transition to as breakdown happens. Which is your current favorite pearl for transition? Love your videos cause you throw all brands and are so consistent with approach. Gives great insights, thank you!
I found this ball to be very easy to manipulate with ball speed. It was very forgiving once I dialed in the ball speed at different parts of the lane. I could play straighter 15-5 or open the lane up. Stand 30, hit 20 at the arrows and out to 5 at the breakpoint point again with 3-5 boards of miss room. It was on me to figure out my ball speed relative to rev rate in those parts of the lane. Oddly enough on a fresh shot I struggled to play my normal area standing 26, 18 at the arrows and 6 at the break point but it gave me a great different in other parts of the lane.
Great video man! first time I've come across your channel and you got an instant subscriber. Great info and easily the best editing and style/camera angles on youtube! I hate when people put the camera super low lol Anyway cant wait to see more!
Reacta Gloss reacta blows because it tends to help a ball blow past the breakpoint. If you ever watch Luke Rosdahl's videos, balls that come with RG never even touch the lane surface. He always sands down to the "standard" 1500 polish using Step 2. The RG reminds me of the old Powerhouse Factory Finish from Ebonite. It would help with making a ball look good but as soon as the ball hit the lanes; the ball wanted to go 50 feet. I was not a fan of the Fate because I could never keep the ball from going forward on the backend. But this ball looks pretty promising as a fun-to-get-in-and-wheel-it type when the track opens up.
I only have one reacta gloss ball, the Hustle RIP but it's fantastic on the burn. Yeah it sucks on fresh, it either floats right past the break point or if it does read, it ricochet's off of it goes through the nose but on the burn, it's amazing. I like it so much, I don't want to try any other surfaces. I am thinking about getting a second one to experiment with so I can keep the original alone.
I need help! 😅 I'm trying to get my ring and middle finger inserts like yours, but I don't know how to ask the pro shop how to help me with that. They always give me tiny inserts, and i always end up with sliced up fingers. Is there anyone here with advice on what to tell these pro shops?
@@TheHype-Bowling so what does the layout make the ball to do? I have hard times to pick what layout to put on the ball. I have a lot of rev but I throw the ball slow. I usually have the ball drill to go long for most part. But your layout works on every ball. Is there a way to copy your layout or it won’t work?
I throw everything. Any last tournament I bowlers I brought 2 motiv balls 1 Storm ball and 3 big b. I keep different brands in the bag. Brunswick just produces more equipment because they have 7 brands compared to 4
Reacta Gloss is just awful, im not sure why they havent changed from it yet. I got a bottle for one of their new compounds "Rough Edge" which they say is in between the old Step 1 & 2 compounds. It's been so much better, not even close. Journey looks to be the best of the Belmo balls by a large margin too. When i get mine next week, instantly changing surface to 1000 + Rough Edge compound.

Best ball I've ever rolled. It was drilled for my late father but has changed MY game.

Very nice video! Its amazing what surface does for a bowling ball. Reacta gloss just doesn't work for me and I've tried many times.

Another great video. Thanks Charles.
Enjoy your content. My journey really read the lane super early for a pearl. I had To take mine to 4K to make it usable for me. Great ball though

Yeah not a huge fan too. light scuff with 1500 or 2000 would gets the job done. Fate is my fav ball now
It would be cool if you did a video on how you release it. Easy revs man
Great videos fam!
That 9 pin was filthy!!! 😮👀🫣
Where does that background music come from? It's always bangin.
This ball is giving Original Zen vibes.
hit the Journey with 3000 grit
Wouldn't the Nuclear Forge be a better pearl that can go long but be able to handle fresh with it's pupulsuon cover?
I need a sym ball to compliment my gem, threw my buddies journey and wasnt real impressed, maybe ill pick one up and throw 2k on it
Definitely have to alter the surface
I got a Gem, Primal Shock & Journey. They compliment each other well👌🏾
@@jax346 i mean exogem theyre two different monsters lol
Great review bro! When are you gonna drop the Piranha review?? Definitely wanna see and hear your thoughts on that ball.
It’s on the way. Video is shot just have to put it together!
Great video as always. Any news on when the shammies will be in stock?
Naa I'm waiting for that new IQ Tour 78U!!! That way when someone pulls out the NU Blue Hammer I get them mad lol
Why not just have them both 😂
@@TheHype-Bowlingits because of money LOL remember these balls ain’t cheap 😂
Cool bowling shoes
Is a Journey vs Zen/Gold Label comparison coming?

Hey Charles new to your channel.....why do you keep using the 60x4.5x30 layout?
Playing wit the surface on a phaze 2 what would you recommend I played around with 2k grit for a little bit
I like 2k or 1500 personally.
You never reviewed the Storm Fate. Any specific reason? Thought it was a really good ball
I never catch the pro shop's name that you mention at the beginning of the video. Can you share the name once more please?
A bowler’s Edge
What does your layout do? It seems like you use the same one for all your balls? Is it different from everyone’s pap? I like or seen how it rolls.
Same layout on every ball so everyone can make up there mind about the ball based the ball and not the layout.
@@TheHype-Bowling so what does the layout make the ball to do? I have hard times to pick what layout to put on the ball. I have a lot of rev but I throw the ball slow. Boom
How would this match up for slower speed lower rev players and would it match up with a iq tour and a storm infinite physixs?
It would complement those pretty nicely. A cleaner option than the infinite and more shape than the iq tour solid or pearl.
@TheHype-Bowling what surface would u recommend putting it on out of Box for the fresh?
If you want to stay in your straight zone leaving it out of box would make sense. But if you want to see more motion down lane I recommend 2k.
@TheHype-Bowling I tend to miss right alot and would need it to recover for me so would 2000 be good?
You have some of the best ball review videos on TH-cam. For a house shot I will stick with my Web Pearl and Dark Web Solid but to each their own.
What happens to all the bowling balls you review?
Go to the shop.
Will this ball be good on the House shots?
Absolutely.
Your arsenal is Brunswick family heavy. Do you think those balls are better than SPI or is it more just preference?
I'm thinking of branching outside of SPI stuff
I throw everything. Any last tournament I bowlers I brought 2 motiv balls 1 Storm ball and 3 big b. I keep different brands in the bag. Brunswick just produces more equipment because they have 7 brands compared to 4
@@TheHype-Bowling got it. Thanks for the info
Storm needs to get rid of reacta gross. I love their balls but you gotta knock it off if there are way to clean and jumpy
What is that awefull rattling sound when you throw the ball? Its like youve miced up a pocket full of change.
Might be the chain hes wearing
@@Malcheesecake827 its like every single video. Love the guy but the chain has to go or mic be placed in a different spot
I'm going to assume it's his keys. If you're filming a video, please don't wear a chain/have keys in your pocket.
Your speed? Rev rate?
Low 400 rev rate. Speed changed between 15.5- 17 depending on what the lane is demanding.

Have you tried smooth edge? I want to try something that's as close to reacta gloss as I can get without being reacta gloss.
@@wingracer1614 I have not
Haha...ok, then
The Kool aid must he strong and tasty. Cause that flavor has been going around....
Not at all. And I’m not trying to get on staff with Storm. Just enjoying the rock.
Sh** 😅😂
Phaze 2 out the box uncontrollable phaze 2 with oil great phaze with too much oil in the ball no longer hooks
Your experience. Mines got way quicker.
@TheHype-Bowling maybe thats what it is I need to possibly slow the ball down cause on a scorched lane chefs kiss
@fleeshawn11 on scorched lanes every ball hooks phaze 2 probably isn’t the best option
@TheHype-Bowling probably isn't but for some reason mines works
@fleeshawn11 same. Loved it out of box, but now that 2 years have gone by, it only works on scorched lanes
Oob looks too sharp. Vulnerable to a lot of splits on bad shots.
FIRST TO VIEW AND FIRST TO COMMENT HAHA
Charles, I love your reviews. I am annoyed by your intro music ... ugh.
Thanks for the support. Just skip past the intro or leave it mute until it’s over. Some people love it some people hate it.
