    Pls make one video on Tax liability of REIT dividend proceeds. I find this very complicated because REIT dividend is Composite of Interest, Income, etc...

    Sir i am a sr. Citizen. Last one year se share trading kar rha hu. Kuchh companies ka dividend bhi aaya hai. Mere pas koi dusra income ka source nahi hai. Pls mujhe inform kare ki mujhe kitna exemption milega. Companies 10 percent ded. Karke dividend bhejti hai vo mujhe refund milega ya nahi? Pls help me.

    Agr dividend full year me max 1500 aya and other income bhi. 2.5 lakh se kam h then dividend per tax dena hoga ?

    You should have covered that if the Tax payer is Sr Citizen and this Income is not under the Business income Tax Payer is not required to pay any Advance Tax on this Dividend but tax can be paid post 31st March but before 30th June of that Tax year as per the current rule.

    Sir, kindly clarify, companies distribute dividend from income after tax or income before tax. If it is before tax, then payment of income tax on dividend by share holder is understandable. If it is after tax, then is it not double taxation?

    Agar dividend 2 times mil raha hai har bar 5000 tk non taxable rahega ya ones times tds cute hoga

    I got all total dividend this year as 2800 fr so many shares like HUL, HERO moto etc..
    But total of all has not crossed 5000
    I come in 30% tax bracket so do I have pay tax on this 2800 amount .which I recieved as dividend

      Yes, 5K limit is for TDS. Income tax is on every penny..

    I trade frequently many trades are intraday some are squared of in few days, few trades take few months but still less than a year I am going to treat it as side business income/loss - in this case can I treat dividends received as business income and offset it against loss from trading business? Thanks in advance - sir your reply here will help me a lot and other visitors as well.

    Sir mere pass agar 10 company ka shares hai aur wo 10 company ka shares ka milake agar mujhe dividend Rs 5000 k upar aata hai to bhi kya mujhe divided k upar tax dena padega? Btw sir agar mera koi income na ho to bhi kya mujhe dividend k upar tax dena padega? Aur jinka koi income nahi hai unka tax slab kya hai? Kindly reply..

      Dividend..... Taxation....as per your income slab.
      If income is nil.... And you got 50000 as dividend...so no income tax.

    I received a total of 7500 Dividend from all my shares I have do I still need to pay tax on it as I heard that less then 5000 amount is exempted.

      No.if you are getting more than 5000 from one company than only tax will be deducted.

      @@lokeshjoshi7239 only tax deduction at source (company paying the dividend) is exempted. You will still have to pay tax on that dividend income (irrespective of the amount) according to the tax category you falls in.
