    Love the videos man, I’m a farmhand of 8 years an have experienced all of this before so it’s great to see solutions to problems like this.

    Hello there JH, thankyou for explaining the reason why you don't just burn the whole paddock. My mind went straight to just "burn the whole thing", a very good reason why not, loving your videos btw! cheers from NE Victoria! Dave

    Holy shitballs! That is the coolest sprayer I've ever seen! The way it folds up under the cab! Yeah boy.

      It is awesome, and it means that Henry isn't under the boom filling like a lot of the other sprayers!

    Seen a few people have luck with running 1 1/2" or 2" rural poly down the front of the points, looks pretty agricultural but does seem to help the trash flow

      They do a great job, however this isn't regular issue for us with getting through wheat stubble so I don't think the need is there quite yet.

    Every stubble block when you loop around do you shut off the air cart so you’re not double sowing? Cheers

    • @tomsbrookfarm
      @tomsbrookfarm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yer we do, we also have section control so it shuts on and off anyway so there isn’t any double sowing happening

  • @ianmoone2359
    @ianmoone2359 ปีที่แล้ว

    Back in the 80’s we used to do stubble burns. Think of the extra potash that you don’t have to buy. And of course not stubble blockages.
    “No Till Direct Seeding is fine, but if you had to do the odd stubble burn once in a blue moon isn’t the end of the planet.

    • @tomsbrookfarm
      @tomsbrookfarm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Burning definitely has its advantages, but leaving the stubble definitely out ways burning for us.

    the rest of the crew have something against you. If you weren’t distracted setting up the camera you would have been fine😂. Would a prickle chain help with getting through the stubble.

  • @FarmerBen86
    @FarmerBen86 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey JH just wondering if you sow the same direction each year? We don’t have anywhere near the problems anymore
    Even runs north and west odd south and east

    • @tomsbrookfarm
      @tomsbrookfarm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We do try to do that, someone suggested it to us back when we had the seed hawk as we also had major issues with stubble with that machine. It works to an extent but when the stubble is leaning over like it is now there isn't much we can do.
