Hi Jerry and Linda, we have followed your videos for a while now and can finally say we are here and loving it. Our best friends bought a home here in the spring and we just got here to see it. We are going golfing in about an hour from now. I think it’s called Orange Blossom. The 9 hole side. What a great place this is. We are riding the carts all over and the place is amazing. I can see why you are so happy here.
Got up at 5:33 am to be the 364th person to ride with the world known travelers and their well loved Gizmo! Lovely ride with shenanigans on the trail! Was in Orlando last weekend and weather was beautiful! Took 4 yr old to see the mermaids instead of you guys 😞 Glad to see how well known you two are!! Have a blessed day friends.
Yesterday we had to go through The Villages because of the terrible accident on I75. It took us six hours to get home from Tampa. We must have gone through twenty roundabouts. We had no problem because I told my daughter to be careful and pay attention, like the two of you said. Love your videos 😂❤️

We did a Lifestyle visit last week and had a blast! Went to the opening night of Sawgrass, so fun! Driving around in the golf cart and exploring, playing a round of golf; learning pickleball, bocce, shuffleboard, and beach tennis; exploring the rec centers and pools; seeing the entertainment on the squares… I didn’t want to leave and go back to Wisconsin fall weather!

I live a couple of blocks from Sawgrass Grove and when you said there is Lake Deaton I was confused. When I drive to Lake Deaton, I always come from the opposite direction. But once you got over the bridge, it became clear to me where you were. I just love that drive from my house over to Lake Deaton. It's nice driving through the neighborhoods away from the automobile traffic. I like the lack of landscaping in that area where the multi modal path splits. I just love to look at the nice grass covered areas and the wildlife areas. The homes driving through that area are beautiful. Living in the newer part of The Villages (Citrus Grove) I see alligators in all of the ponds. Both the artificial ponds and the natural ones. You can tell the artificial ones because they are uniformly shaped. Rectangular with rounded corners, or oval. Then there are the originals that have a very natural body of water shape. But I even saw a baby alligator walking from an artificial pond across the road to a natural one that I have seen many alligators in. They get around quite frequently. You even see them completely out of the water sunning themselves. Keep your eyes open, you will see them!
Beautiful new area in Sawgrass it seems...and the Rolls-Royce was priceless..good thing your friend from the investment company owned the classy car...his front yard and home color was stunning...enjoy to all..
I was going get my mail and I carry my glasses hooked then on my shirt. 3 blocks from my house the sky opened up I jump out over the cart to put my windshield up and covered the golf clubs witch is the most important to me. I got home notice my glasses were not on my shirt. Went back after the rain storm couldn’t find them. A neighbor stopped me in my cart asked if I lost some eye glasses. Sure enough that was mine. Thanks to my neighbor I saved some money.

We’re getting ready to head down for the winter to Puerto Vallarta where we are winter snow birds. We were lucky with minimal effects from Hurricane Roslyn
North up the coast 90 miles not as lucky. The Banderas Bay and mountains above the city are a natural protective barrier to most hurricanes entering the bay 🤞🙏
I love these ride alongs to see the neighborhoods so we all can get a perspective on what life truly looks like in the villages...BTW Jerry is such a great driver i bet he has a CLEAN driving record lol!!!
What a fun ride! We did that in 2020 when they first opened the Chitty Chatty Bridge and the land where the Ty Villas are was still being speculated about. We saw wild turkeys there too. Wish we had the where-with-all to move then. As it is, the day you posted this beautiful video, we had been attempting to drive to TV. 🚙As we speak, we have had a car battery mishap 2 hrs outside Phoenix and the car spent the day in the shop. New battery. Then the same malfunction again in New Mexico, where we sit awaiting to spend Halloween in Las Cruces while it goes back in to the service station. This time we just hope to have it repaired so we can drive back home. The car was jam-packed for our Holiday Season in our new home. Looks like someone wants us to FLY to Florida ✈and take just a toothbrush!🪥 Happy Halloween you 3🎃🦇🧡 Maybe you'll do your next video from the Rolls!!😃

Hi Jerry, Linda and Gizzy... Great ride along. You mentioned street legal golf carts going 35 on the streets. ALL golf carts car only go a legal speed of 25 even on Morse and Buena vista. You were lucky you didn't get caught in the pond with your kayak. Not legal in that pond. LOL Beautiful Roll. Stanchions? I always called them posts.. Are you sure you brought Gizzy? Never saw him one time...
The villages watch came and challenged us.. And we were told it was OK. Not on the golf course ponds, and not when you have to cross personal property to get to the lake.
Whatever you got to muffle the wind noise worked great! Even the golf cart sounds less noisy 🙂. The sound overall is excellent 👍 When you said you lost your sunglasses, I saw them on your hat. Didn't realize until further into your story you meant your other sunglasses 😎. I'm glad there's good people still around! Watching from southern Indiana.
I always pull over with the cart to let people pass because I came from Sun City, SC 55 community they didn’t have any stores or town squares inside just 3 golf courses so everyone buy electric carts I would rather have a gas cart. My friend talked me into moving there even thou I wanted to moved to The VILLAGES. So I brought my electric cart here it only does 19mph and get past by everyone. When I pay this one off I will by a gas cart. So I always pull over if there are 2 or more carts behind me or if the cart can’t pass me.
I live in a new home in Deluna right next to those high power lines although the towers are not right next to me. I'm in the middle of between them. I thought it would bother me to see them, but I have a marsh and open space behind me and open space beside me. I really like the open feeling of where I am. And while I have not seen an alligator I am sure they are there because there is a marsh below me and I know there's water. There's a pond beside me that attracts tons of birds including the Sandhills which I love. I really like it down here.
Love your video's that show a view of The Villages. I know someone that recently moved to Noah Place. You both are cute together. Turnover is due to older people dieing.
I really enjoyed your drive this morning as I pedalled along with you on my exercise bike here in Australia. Sometimes scary to watch though as we drive on the other side of the road 😱. Keep up your amazing work, the sound was perfect today and the camera work and commentary was 👌

My new vehicle has an incredibly loud turn signal which is great. You need some croakers for your glasses, Jerry. I’ve always wanted to grow muhly grass, but it would likely be an annual in Duluth Minnesota. I just love it. My sister called it pampas grass. They had it in Mississippi at their home and also in Myrtle Beach. I just love it. Pampas and muhly may be different but similar in their growth and flowers. I looked it up and a dog can smell 1000 to 10,000 times better than humans.

Hi Jerry and Linda, my wife Sue and I enjoy your videos and do like what we see in the villages and currently own a home at LaCasa in North Port where we’re Snowbirds. Though our community sustained major damage our basic structure is intact. Once we finish repairs we may consider a move and wondering about a comment you made about golf carts in the villages being almost all gas. I just purchased a new Assurance Cart with a lithium ion battery good for a 60 mile distance and wondering your thought on the pluses and minuses of both. Thanks, Ray
My grandson rented a Rolls for his brothers birthday last year Let me say. There is no ride like a Rolls. They came for me believe it or not we went to Sam's shopping. They had been everywhere inbPhoneix. I cannot explain how the comfort was in that car. I'm sure my first and last ride in a Rolls
Nice ride! I’m going to show it to my husband, as we are coming for the month of May, and it’s a good introduction to golf cart driving Villages style! We have one in our little winter neighborhood but don’t have to deal with traffic or special multi modal pathways, etc. Can’t wait to get there!

If you don't have to deal with traffic, that means you don't drive on the roads with cars. Which would lead me to believe you have a special road for golf carts. But if you don't drive on the roads for cars or have a special road for carts, how do you get around? You just drive on the grass everywhere?
Jerry, about how many miles was this trip ? Very nice ride for a fall evening. I wish I would have moved back when I retired. Jerry, when you where driving in the area of Chitty Chatty I noticed that there are no street lights. Can you drive in this area at night. I think you have lights on your cart.
How do you remember where everything is? It is beautiful! So many turn abouts/ arounds I would get confused!! In Arizona they have creatures that look like pigs. Do you have those? You are so lucky to have each other to enjoy these joys of retirement.

We have the Muhly grass in "bloom" here in TX too. Funny thing, my husband describes it as red, just like Jerry does LOL... It's purple, right Linda 😀

When I lived here in 2011-13 I always seen gators 🐊 now I moved back in June I’ve only seen 2 gators. I got to follow your cart ride to find gators.

I really enjoyed your drive this morning as I pedalled along with you on my exercise bike here in Australia. Sometimes scary to watch though as we drive on the other side of the road 😱. Keep up your amazing work, the sound was perfect today and the camera work and commentary was 👌
Thank you Helen! I cannot imagine driving on the opposite side of the road. It would absolutely freak me out. I have always refrained from driving when I was in Great Britain and Japan.

My new vehicle has an incredibly loud turn signal which is great. You need some croakers for your glasses, Jerry. I’ve always wanted to grow muhly grass, but it would likely be an annual in Duluth Minnesota. I just love it. My sister called it pampas grass. They had it in Mississippi at their home and also in Myrtle Beach. I just love it. Pampas and muhly may be different but similar in their growth and flowers. I looked it up and a dog can smell 1000 to 10,000 times better than humans.
You are right. I need to get a strap or something to hold those glasses on. I dropped my new glasses today!

Hi Jerry and Linda, my wife Sue and I enjoy your videos and do like what we see in the villages and currently own a home at LaCasa in North Port where we’re Snowbirds. Though our community sustained major damage our basic structure is intact. Once we finish repairs we may consider a move and wondering about a comment you made about golf carts in the villages being almost all gas. I just purchased a new Assurance Cart with a lithium ion battery good for a 60 mile distance and wondering your thought on the pluses and minuses of both. Thanks, Ray
60 mes is plenty... and we love how quiet they are. Most have gas carts but many people have electric here.

Let me say. There is no ride like a Rolls. They came for me believe it or not we went to Sam's shopping. They had been everywhere inbPhoneix. I cannot explain how the comfort was in that car. I'm sure my first and last ride in a Rolls
Nice ride! I’m going to show it to my husband, as we are coming for the month of May, and it’s a good introduction to golf cart driving Villages style! We have one in our little winter neighborhood but don’t have to deal with traffic or special multi modal pathways, etc. Can’t wait to get there!

If you don't have to deal with traffic, that means you don't drive on the roads with cars. Which would lead me to believe you have a special road for golf carts. But if you don't drive on the roads for cars or have a special road for carts, how do you get around? You just drive on the grass everywhere?

In the 14 months I've lived here, I have seen only one alligator. Coincidentally, it was at the edge of the pond where you all kayaked.
We could show you alligator's. In fact, this afternoon I saw a nice one up close and personal.

Jerry, about how many miles was this trip ? Very nice ride for a fall evening. I wish I would have moved back when I retired. Jerry, when you where driving in the area of Chitty Chatty I noticed that there are no street lights. Can you drive in this area at night. I think you have lights on your cart.
I would guess it was around a 20 mile round trip. there are some street lights, and yes, we do have headlights on our golf carts.

How do you remember where everything is? It is beautiful! So many turn abouts/ arounds I would get confused!! In Arizona they have creatures that look like pigs. Do you have those? You are so lucky to have each other to enjoy these joys of retirement.

I believe they are mostly nocturnal. Believe me… if there are wooded areas and marshes, scrubby undergrowth etc they are in your area too.
