I went from a touring bike to the LRST. Never regretted it. The lesser weight and better handling are important to me. I don’t doubt that the Glides are better for longer multi day trips but really, how much of that do most riders really do? For me, not much. It all depends on the type of riding you need the bike for.
Completely agree it's all dependent on what you do most on your bike, we tour quite a lot so the Glide is perfect, however there are times when I'm in the cities where i miss the LRST! Appreciate the comment!
I was literally deciding between low rider st and the road glide and the moment you said your 6’1 and felt cramped I’m convinced RG is the way to go. I’m 6’0 220lbs lol
Road Glide for sure! Especially if you plan on long trips. If your more of a city rider, Lowrider with forwards and a skimmer air cleaner wouldn't be a bad setup. But the road glide St is sick and I'm glad I traded for it.
Fair comparison. I like your honesty. I have a Low Rider ST with 9.5” Thrashin risers, dual analog gauges, exhaust and it absolutely rips. It feels so much lighter than a touring bike. That said, I also have a Street Glide. If I was going for a long ride I agree I would be on the touring bike.
First thing I did on my low rider is exhaust V&H high output .... forward control's problem sorted .... Did the iron butt challenge here in the UK 1000 mile's in 24 hours ...... done in 22 hours the bike didn't miss a beat 👌
Curious how much of a difference in ride quality on the freeway… say it’s a nice smooth freeway and cruising at 80 mph… do you feel any difference in the suspension?
So the ride is smoother on the Road Glide in terms of wind. Both bike suspensions are pretty good. I would say the Lowrider suspension handles slow speed bumps better. I noticed them more now on the Road Glide.
That’s a good move the Lowrider ST suspension was not great and the fairing sucked at deflecting wind. Knees were in my chest and got speed wobbles at 90+. I feel it’s a hype bike not worth the $. You would need to throw 5-10k to get it comfortable and ride right. It looks cool though. Road glide is the way to go!
I don’t know what lowrider ST you were on… but the suspension on mine is awesome and no wobbles at any speed.. I put some miles on the road glide st and I didn’t really notice anything different about the ride quality except heavier at the stop light and wider on the thighs when feet are on the ground at the stoplight.. at best you might get a 10% smoother ride on the highway
Mr crooks! Where did you get that leather jacket!!! I’m six foot three and have a hard time finding a jacket that fits my lanky arms! Subscribed! Good luck with the moto!
Just came down to the money investment. I would have also had to do a new air cleaner too because that would hit my leg. Just made sense to get something really meant for touring.
Man this got me stressing. Put a deposit down on a new fxlrs last June and bike never came in so getting a 23. I'm 6'1" and been worrying about how cramped up my legs are gonna be. Plan on getting crossthread mini floor boards that have 3 diff positions. Hopefully using the forward position will help some. I'd go with a road glide but don't have 30k +. Man I'm buggin. Lol sick bike btw 🔥🔥🔥
Crooks moto for life!!!! Such a bad ass bike both of em. Love the upgrade. Can't wait till the day I build my bike. Great job on the videos and content that you all are pumping out. Roadglide is the best bike that Harley built . Excellent choice👍

I have a 2014 Dyna Lowrider. I like it but sometimes the wind blows me around. In Oklahoma. I’ve never ridden the bigger bikes.

Thanks!! Yeah there both Incredible bikes, I wish I could keep them both

That's so rad!! 🤘💯
Great Bike. I love my Road Glide. If you tour, it's the best choice.
It really is! Loving this bike so far

Looking forward to some mod install videos and reviews, really nice bike
So are we! Plenty planned in the future
What seat did you have on the Low Rider ST?
I had the mustang wide tripper! Loved that seat.
Congrats! I have the same bike and color, enjoy, I love mine
Thanks! Definitely loving this bike so far.

I’m 6’2 was just not going to work!
Yupp same problem as me. Forwards would been cool to try, but then you gotta ditch the heavy breather.

It's a rad jacket! It's made by a company called Eagle Leather and I wear Sm and it fits incredible.
Next Bike, next Chance. Have alot of Fun with it! 👍
Why didn't you put Forwardcontrols and a higher Seat on the LowRider-ST🤔?
Just came down to the money investment. I would have also had to do a new air cleaner too because that would hit my leg. Just made sense to get something really meant for touring.
@@crooksmoto Thank you for the Answer. Yes sometimes it better to do a complete new Start 👍

Just put the heritage controls on the st. They will bolt right up.. problem solved for taller riders…
I got the Fast Johnnie Road Glide.... but I kept my Low Rider S with a 131....🏍💨
Now a Lowrider S with a 131 would be fun!!
Road glide st is great! I have 23 waiting on 135
It's such an awesome bike! 🙌
Cool content and dope beat! Subscribing!
Appreciate it! Thanks for checking out the channel
