I identity myself as Messianic Jew
All my life throught to be Catholic, all while my spirit disagreed with their ways. Felt out of place & questioned their practices & beliefs.
Then @ age 30, with a heavy heart, my Dad revealed to me that we are Sephardic Jews. Two years later I walked out of the Catholic Church indefinitely.
Then in 2018 my Jewish grandmother passed away and I knew then I needed to find my roots & learn of my heritage. Covid lock downs shortly after gave me all the time to learn of my heritage, teach my children, learn the language, Torah & amazingly realized, my Jewish grandmother had taught me as a child in (Spanish/ Ladido) the Shema prayer and so many other things; it was amazing!
To put it in order, first I am believer of Yeshua Jesus. Then later in my life, learned of my Jewish roots. I am a Messianic Jew, Shabbat observer and Yeshua is my Messiah, the Holy Spirit guides me & leads me. Now, awaiting to be reunited with my Savior very soon.

Many people came to New Mexico during the Spanish Inquisition. I learned of this in the 80s when the Pope apologized for inquisition and many Hispanic people identified as Jews.

I'm glad your journey to reconnect with your roots was successful. I too learned that I have Jewish blood. I took a DNA ancestry test and found that my Sicilian great grandparents were Jewish. That has me wondering if they converted to Catholicism because they wanted to or to avoid expulsion. Either way, I'm fascinated to learn more about my roots. But I'll continue being a follower of Jesus.

This is such a great teaching! Todah rabah! When I get discouraged that I'm not part of the Orthodox Jewish community because I believe Yeshua is the Messiah and I'm a Gentile; I remind myself that one day when Yeshua comes back we will go to the Temple in Yerushalaim and worship together for a thousand years. May He come back speedily and in our days.

Very dedicated and difficult issue. I understand the Rabi but also understand people who are tired of going to churches and celebrating pagan feasts. At least the people who are naming themselves Messianic are trying to be closer to the Jewish Messiah, like me and my family, for example. Why can't people be more Jewish if they want to be like their Messiah? It works in Islam, and their religion is growing numerous. If Mohammed was an Arab and people follow Quran and have a very arabic-religious way of living all over the world. Why can't Christians or other people do the same about Yeshua and the Torah? That's my question.
    Shalom dear friends

I’m so confused. So…it is perfectly okay for people to convert to orthodox Judaism but Messianic Jews provide no WAY to? Your justification is that they will be treated differently - you actually think that those who convert care about such things?? This type of objection seems hypocritical, and seems in conflict with Yeshua’s teaching. There has always been a process for the sojourner - the Ger - to convert should that be his/her desire.
Under what authority do you have to remove or replace the requirements outlined in Torah? Even Yeshua said He did not come to do away with the Law and if your only reason for doing so are the one-sided letters of Paul and not Torah 👀 that is dangerous!!! ANYONE who prescribes actions outside of the Torah should NOT be listened to!!! You all seem to be like Jonah who refused to allow for the pagans to repent and serve G-D. Additionally, the term “gentile” is very divisive. How can you call members of your own congregations, who were not born Jews - who are Torah observant and keep Kosher and observe the Sabbaths and are studying in a community of Jews - gentiles??!! Shouldn’t you at least call them Sojourners or Ger as they are learning from you how to become Jewish?
They are NOT idolaters which, of course, is how the Torah defines and uses of that word. If someone has it on their heart and wants to convert, and lives already in community with Jews (who believe in Christ), keeps Torah (by faith, led by the Holy Spirit - as everyone who are following Christ should), observes all the Sabbaths and Holy Days/Feasts/Festivals, and keeps kosher…they should be allowed to convert.
In fact, the Talmud indicates that Pharaoh’s daughter - whose Jewish name became “daughter of G-D,” the one who drew Moses from the water - was a convert. The Talmud explains that she went down to the water to repent of her father’s idolatry and Mikvah 3 times in the water. It says that upon her conversion, when she emerged from the water she was then worthy to receive the God’s ark.
The problem is that “Messianic Judaism” is not Judaism it is Christianity. You don’t need to convert to it if you’re already Christian. This is what this Rabbi is really saying. Pay attention to his scoff at all those outside the covenant…he called all gentiles uncircumcised Philistines. LISTEN!! The Spirit behind this is revealing that “gentiles” in Messianic congregations still stand outside of the covenant.
The process of conversion to Judaism is clear and simple but there are those who want to keep the Way hidden. Why? Having more Torah-observant Jews should be a thing to be celebrated!!! It was Yeshua’s message to ALL: Repent (turn from idolatry), Mikvah (baptism is a distortion of this very Jewish process), and live a Torah-observant life in community with other Jews. I agree that no one should take conversion lightly (there is a lot a convert can/will loose) and there should be a lengthy process to obtain it but to flatly deny EVERYONE is not right.
To deny someone who desires conversion access to these truth and to deny them details about THE WAY is not done in Judaism (as directed by Torah) so why are you saying something different? You are misrepresenting HaShem!! Especially, in light of Isaiah 56:1-7; Ruth; Rahab; the story of Esther; and many other places in the Torah.

I have read the Torah and the Old testament Bible they are the exact same. You are correct The only difference between Judaism and Messianic Judaism is Messianic Jews believe Jesus was the Messiah and standard Judaism believes that he was not. The only question then I have after watching this is one is what if you were circumcised at birth as a Christian you can't be circumcised twice so how can you convert to Judaism. He stated if you were circumcised you were already Jew. That one confused me.

    • @asking79x
      @asking79x 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

In Messianic Judaism, Jews do not convert to another religion when they trust in Yeshua as their Messiah, and Gentiles are not asked to convert to Judaism. Indeed, Rav Shaul (Paul) spends a lot of time in Romans, Galatians, 2 Corinthians, and Colossians explaining that a Gentile is not required to become a Jew in order to follow Yeshua, and that a person should not seek to become a Jew if he or she were born Gentile. Both groups together are to form one NEW person. In the Temple service, many different types of instruments played together-in unison (in unity). So, when we praise G-d in unison, no matter what instrument we are, we are doing what He intended for the Body of Messiah.
However, in any branch of rabbinical Judaism, a Gentile must specifically renounce Yeshua in order to convert to Judaism.

Shalom, if you watched this video you must have heard the initial statement that Joseph made which is: "There is no such thing as Messianic Judaism." If it is not possible because it doesn't exist as such, then this question is invalid. Whether one agrees with this, is his/her prerogative.
I further quote from this video: "Yes, you can’t be Jewish, Messianic or not Messianic, if you’re not circumcised. So that’s one thing, but that’s against the scriptures." and "People can convert to Judaism, and then there is a world, very big process, and it involves circumcision" but even that doesn't make you convert to messianic Judaism, but only to Rabbinic Judaism.
In short, it's not about should one or if it matters or not and why, according to Joseph you can't because messianic Judaism is not a defined group that one can convert into.

I literally don't know who to tell. For starters, I'm pretty confident that I'll be dismissed as a whack job, but another issue is I literally do not know with whom to share this information. God started talking to me repeatedly this year. Last year, I had an ominous vision from him, but it was this year that things have really amped up.
Because I am new to this, I may even be misinterpreting the vision. It's hard to be both the seer and the interpreter. It took me several weeks to understand one of the more recent ones. This one happened yesterday (Sunday; it is now Monday morning, before the dawn).
I also don't want to come across like I have an issue with any certain people, and that seems unavoidable. I am seriously only the messenger, I have no opinion on this.
In my vision, I was shown that love has become too guarded, selfish, and greedy, expecting tit for tat, always. The girl who represented this concept and this type of love wore the Star of David around her neck. I was shown that love should be more giving freely and not measuring. Again, I have no opinion. I just wanted to relay what I have seen.

    Exodus 12:48
But if an outsider dwells with you, who would keep the Passover for Adonai, all his males must be circumcised. Then let him draw near and keep it. He will be like one who is native to the land. But no uncircumcised person may eat from it.
    Exodus 4
21 Adonai said to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, see that you do all the wonders before Pharaoh that I have put in your hand. Still, I will harden his heart, and he will not let the people go. 22 You are to say to Pharaoh, “This is what Adonai says: ‘Israel is My son, My firstborn. 23 So I have said to you, Let My son go, that he may serve Me, but you have refused to let him go. Behold, I will slay your son, your firstborn.’”
24 It happened along the way, at a lodging place, that Adonai met him and sought to kill him! 25 But Zipporah took a flint, cut off the foreskin of her son, and threw it at his feet, saying, “You are surely a bridegroom of blood to me.” 26 She said, “A bridegroom of blood” because of the circumcision. Then He let him alone.
The circumcision is in correspondence to the sacrifice a servant Israel makes to ethereal premise.

The counter question is: „What’s your motivation to do so? Marrying a such partner, wanting to make Aliyah or similar earthly motives ?“ Or are you interested in the spiritual roots of Christianity before Constantine mixup with pagan elements, I. e. 1st century original Hebrew Christianity if you are a Gentile Christian with or without Jewish roots? Are you a born Jew who wants to become a follower of Messiah Yeshua? Note, 1st of all, Messianic Judaism is not officially recognised by the State of Israel and won’t entitle you to make Aliyah or the marry a Jew in the State of Israel, as long as the law in legal power is the same it has been for decades. So, for earthly material reasons you better don’t convert to Messianic Judaism. For the two latter, as a Non-Jew, you’d have to convert to Official Orthodox Judaism and either keep silent about your faith in the Messiah Yeshua or even deny Him ( the latter not advised at all, you may lose your soul and faith!). If a Messianic Jew wants to marry a Messianic Non-Jew, they may be united in their common Biblical faith in the Messiah Yeshua and couldn’t do it within the borders of the State of Is, only abroad and have social problems in their respective surroundings, less within their common Messianic congregation. If you are a born and Torah-practicing Jew who wants to follow the Messiah Yeshua despite possible arising troubles, you may have the privilege of not having to change much in your life-style, but will receive forgiveness of your sins and a new or “Messiah-completed “outlook on life and the blessings of Messiahs Yeshua.. As a Gentile follower of Jesus, you can learn more about Yeshua’s Torah-observant lifestyle and adapt whatever G-d shows you. You are bound to the Bible lifestyle according to Acts 15,21-22 etc., while a Jew would be bound to his or her original Jewish Biblical lifestyle according to Acts 16.

This is a problematic view according to the Torah.
In Shemot 12:43-49 Hashem commands that the "ger" cannot eat of Passover, but if he wants to, then that he be circumcised and considered as a native (an Israelite).
The Torah indicates a "conversion" and should not place barriers for Gentiles who want to become part of the Jewish people.

The letters of Paul are far from scripture. Unfortunately, the "Messianic Judaism" movement is an offshoot of pagan Roman Christianity. Yeshua said, "I have other sheep that are not of this fold I must bring them also". He references Isaiah 56:8. Read Isaiah 56:1-8 and understand that it is one of the very few passages recording Hashem's mention of foreigners' potential place in the world to come. You foreigners have very few mentions in the holy scripture, so listen attentively to the few passages directed at you. This passage tells the son of the foreigner that only the ones who keep Shabbat and grip tightly to the covenant presented to the sons of Jacob at the foot of Mt Sinai, that only they will be gathered on the last day. The day when the long shofar blasts (Isaiah 27:13) and gathers us sons of Jacob to the foot of Mount Zion. The son of the foreigner who embraces Torah will no longer be called a foreigner but indeed a son of Jacob, to inherit the world to come as promised through the prophets to the sons of Yaacov. Why the "SON" of the foreigner and not just a "foreigner"? Because the one who takes upon himself the covenant of Hashem, is no longer a foreigner but a native-born Israelite (Ezekiel 47:22-23). Yeshua clearly stated that he came solely for them (Matthew 15:24).

Good morning Joe! Yeah! Love that opening Question, it reflects the confusion and nuance of Evangelical Protestant Christianity. With it's many many types of Churches (or faiths) 🤣😊🎵🎶
it's a brilliant Question! That definitely stums up the "Messianic Jewish "Christian expression of being born again through evangelicalism .. Protestant Christianity is a very vibrant, philosophy of religion, its interesting pagan expression of worshiping a god-man instead of worshiping Hashem directly. It's fanimanal Greco-Roman philosophy indeed.
This Greco-Roman expression called "Christianity" has gone through so much metamorphic change and constantly reformed into something new Catholic, Protestant, Calvinist, Armenian, Reformism, Messianic Christianity, etc etc etc. It will keep on morphing as it's pagan at its very core. Come home, Joe! Come home to Judaism. Come home to the true expression of worship through the torah and the Tanakh. It's cool that most forms or types of Christianity and it's religious philosophy and traditions are Zionistic in their love and expression for and towards Israel 🇮🇱 and towards Judaism.
Especially after Vatican Two and Nostra Aetate and the work of Professor Jules Isaac in pointing out the contentious teaching towards Jews in the Christian scriptures (the New Testament) in pointing out the antisemitic teachings in the NT developed by Pauline teachings... Etc

“Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised. So then, if those who are not circumcised keep the law’s requirements, will they not be regarded as though they were circumcised? The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker.
“A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God.”
    (Romans 2:25-29)

      @paulpearce1311 ปีที่แล้ว

be carefull where you stand. John is misinterpreted to justify the pagan trinity and disenfranchise the Jewish people. Yeshua, said the Father dwells in me. Meaning he is anointed and he is talking to those present and this can be carried into the future after understanding this. So just as the previous prophets he is an oracle but with powers from above not given to them. a commandment to honour thy Father and thy Mother is where he fits into the messianic tradition as he is the bride. From this when a man and a women come together as one flesh. the bride is in total agreement and servitude upholding the sanctity of the Father. Each glorifying the other under the Law. Everything is paternal even those who constantly sing praises in the Holy Hall are a all male hareem. Women and men go to paradise not to the holy of holy space.
So when he talks sometimes he is the father in spirit and sometimes the son of Man in Spirit although in complete compliance. This is ordained and he doesn't have any choice regarding this. (explains his prayer on the mount and cry out at deaths door) The power within him is of the YhWh Father and he is attuned to its prayer. So when he asks who is my mother or who is my brother and sisters it is the Father speaking not the person. Saying to those present no man comes to the father except through me, means he is saying he is the anointed one and not any other. there were prostitutes (fakes) walking around claiming to be Him.
Well I hope this finds you in the intimate being. Shamaal eshe.
he also passed his anointing on to the twelve making them Fathers in Spirit (also are they YhWh)
but never did he do this to Saul/Paurus. Consider this flaw in thy side.

The new testament was written in Greek. Greek stories about their gods often describe the god, particularly Zeus having sex with human women. The offspring being a demigod like Hercules or Jason. The G-d of Yisrael has said he is NOT human Numbers 23:19; Isaiah 43:10-12; Deuteronomy 32:39; 1 Samuel 15:29; Hosea 11:9; Exodus 33:17-21. Jesus is a demigod following the Greek tradition. Christians are pagans following the Greek god tradition.

Who's Jewish? Anyone born from a Jewish mother OR if you are a genuine (circumcised) converted non-Jew. But that's not all. There's one tiny little thing left to become fully Jewish. And that is to _practice_ what the God of Israel taught in tenach. (And not any other scripture.) To have undivided faith in only One sole, _incorporeal_ God only.
Do you get that definition? Did the words soak in? Then take the test below to make sure you understood.
Are you Jewish if you believe in the NT as the word of God? Can you be Jewish and believe in Jesus? (That he was the messiah and God in the flesh who died to atone for our sins.) Are you Jewish if you only have a Jewish father? Are you Jewish if your mother is Jewish but you refuse to keep shabbes? (Shabbat.) Are you Jewish if you are born in Israel and speak Hebrew as your mother tongue? Are you a Jew if you have Jewish grandparents? Can you be Jewish if you have a German, Polish, Middle Eastern or Russian sounding last name? (Schwartz, Weiss, Breitowitsch, Shulam or Kowalska.)
If you answered any of these questions with YES, then you still don't understand the Judaic aspect of being Jewish. If I can give some good advice... God does not need converts. Either from Jews or from Christians. He simply needs an honest prayer and He will nullify even the severest sin. Psalm 145.18-20.

People who are trying to leave the idolatry of certain doctrines that exist in the Christian church but who are not "ethnically Jewish" are left in limbo, I don't think that's what Jesus wanted. Even in Orthodox Judaism you have the option of converting with all the discrimination that comes with it, but this leaves you no choice but to remain in a conventional Christian church. I think what the Rabbi is saying that Messianic Judaism is not a separate faith from Christianity. Which is why he says that there's no such thing.
But at the same time, he deems himself as a Messianic Rabbi. So it's not an oxymoron. It's more of telling Gentiles that they have all the creditials needed to obtain salvation and to love and follow God.

@@johnpratts2856 if their mother was jewish and they are a messianic then they are an apostate. Same as any other Jew joining any other christian denomination. Messianics are a christian denomination and almost all of their community come from other christian denominations as well. There is nothing Jewish about them. They fraudently use the name jew. They also fraudently use the name Rabbi and synagogue. And they fool no one with trying to say yeshua instead of jesus or Brit hadasha instead of new testament and many other scams.

Why don't you call him a woman also. It's the same thing. Imagining yourself a rav or rabbi doesn't make you one. To be a rabbi is to be trained in the Torah tradition in an unbroken chain from Moshe Rabeinu. Guess what not one Jewish Rabbi ever thought Jesus is the messiah. Not one Jewish Rabbi believes the gospels written in common man language is a continuation of the Divine Torah written in the holy language.
As a matter of fact belief in jesus as a deity or prophet is christianity, no question about it. The thing about christianity is that In addition to torturing and prosecuting Jews endlessly
The christian nations have always had an obsession to convert all Jews to christianity.
Why? They say our of love or truth or something like that. But let's imagine what the world would look like if they were successful.
    A. There would be no one left in the world to observe God's commandments. God revealed himself to the Jewish people at Mt Sinai and commanded them 613 commandments. While these messianics like to say they also observe the commandments don't be fooled; it's a historical fact that only the Jews kept the Torah and commandments.
    B. There would be no community left in the world who could read the Torah. The whole Jewish world shares the same Torah to the letter. The Jewish people have guarded this Torah for over 3000 years from when Moshe Rabeinu gave the Torah. The christians also claim to hold the Torah as sacred but let's be real besides maybe a christian professor who may have studied the Torah in university, christians don't know the Holy language.
Jews have always guarded the Torah with their life and Jewish children are already begining to read the Torah from the age of 3. For the last 2000 years Jewish people have spread all across the world from Yemen to Poland and everywhere in between and their Torah is the exactly the same.
The Jews persevered and kept the commandments and guarded the Torah against all odds and the most brutal prosecution which never ended. And specifically it was the christians nations who were most hellbent to oppress and persecute the jews and to forcibly convert the Jews.
First of all this torture is not love. To this love we say thank you but no thank you.
But mostly take a moment to realize what christianity really is. Don't be fooled by talk about how "they were not real christians"
This prosecution was the treatment Jews received from all christians historically. Research the Jewish experience through the ages in christian nations.
And this obsession to convert Jews was shared by all christians communities. And consider the affect that would have done. It would have erased God's Torah from the world heaven forbid and it would have erased the An Yisrael from the world. Think about that and that should tell you what christianity really is. And these "messianic jews" are christians make no mistake about that.

I think you should look up Luminaries from First Fruits of Zion. Good books of Jews and Rabbis throughout the ages who believe Yeshua is the Messiah.
One for Israel also has good resources for Jewish history.
