เมื่อครั้งที่มีโอกาสได้เห็นนกโพระดกเป็นครั้งแรกในชีวิต รู้สึกทึ่งกับนกชนิดนี้มากค่ะ เพราะมีส่วนหัวและปากต่างจากนกโดยทั่วๆ ไป ในตอนแรกออกจะดูตลกด้วยซ้ำ แต่เมื่อได้พบบ่อยขึ้น ก็หลงรักนกชนิดนี้ด้วยใบหน้าที่ไร้เดียงสา น่าเอ็นดู วิถีชีวิตที่มีการขุดโพรงทำรังและดูแลครอบครัวอย่างอบอุ่น ทั้งยังมีสีขนที่สวยจัดจ้านและงามไม่แพ้กันไม่ว่าจะเป็นนกโพระดกพันธุ์ใด ทั้งเสียงร้องที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ก็ทำให้รู้สึกถึงบรรยากาศที่เป็นธรรมชาติได้ดียิ่ง แม้ว่าจะได้ยินในขณะที่อยู่ใจกลางเมืองก็ตาม จึงหาความรู้เพิ่มเติมและนำมาแบ่งปันกันค่ะ
When I saw a barbet for the first time, I was amazed. Its head and beak look different from other birds, and at first, it seemed a bit funny to me. But the more I saw them, the more I loved them. Their innocent, cute faces and the way they dig burrows, make nests, and care for their families are heartwarming. Barbets usually have beautiful, bold-colored feathers, no matter the species, and their unique calls make me feel connected to nature, even in the middle of a city.
