    Today we are reviewing the regular production MTG-B2000 a premium G-Steel model from Gshock, that I already reviewed in the exclusive Limited Edition Rainbow Mountain variant.
    This one is unlimited regular production one.
    The sapphire crystal, one of the best rubber straps ever on a Casio and the fit and finish show this is a premium product and makes me wonder how much better an MRG would be.

    Nice looking watch.. I have owned many g-shocks though the years. As I get older, I find the plastic leaves my wrist feeling sweaty and gross. Now I prefer more traditional watches with metal bands.

    Very cool watch. Looks really good. Not over the top and with refined good looks, a bit like myself. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

    I would strong consider trading my b3000 for this one.
    Yes the b3000 is thinner which I like, the model is slow and I like blue.
    It is also a pain to get straps for the b3000 without the eBay markup.

    Little bit too expensive for me but an extremely cool watch nonetheless.

    Do you plan to make a review/tutorial of the MTG B-3000 ?

    can the date wheel be realigned manually like the hands on a gshock can be (if the watch was jostled too much and became misaligned), like on the casioak, you can hold adjust for 15 seconds past the regular adjust menu and the hands will be able to recentered

      Check out the MTG-B3000. It’s the latest in the line and the thinnest so far.

      @Jon N this one looks nice. Kind of don't like the aesthetics of the 3000 model.

    • @AnIntrepidExplorer
      @AnIntrepidExplorer ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mgs_mgo_two Fair enough. I personally prefer how the 3000 looks over the 2000, but it’s all subjective. I just wanted to let @MrTrollosan know that there is a thinner option available if the 2000 is too thick for them.

    The trouble with these g-shocks is that they have fairly sharp edges and the anodisation will easily be damaged. Which is a shame for a watch this expensive.

    • @oceanzu6585
      @oceanzu6585 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Na, my gpw 2000 holds pretty well with several heavy slash to the metal bezel. It might not be as starch resistance as rubber but it's definitely tougher than most stainless steel watch on market

    • @xpusostomos
      @xpusostomos ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oceanzu6585 gpw2000 has a lot of plastic sticking out for protection and the metal part is rounded. I have a GMW-B5000 blue, and the edges are sharp and the blue scratches off the edge easily. The watch subject of this video looks like fairly sharp edges.

    • @cr8460
      @cr8460 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@xpusostomos I think you are misunderstanding the case finishing. That's zaratsu finishing. I own MRGs, MTGs, and Grand Seikos and they have beautiful, well defined transition lines. That's the sign of high quality finishing and if done correctly it isn't going to be uncomfortable. I'm not sure I would use the word "sharp" to describe them. Rounded edges are generally for lower end, more affordable watches(think the difference between a stainless steel gmw-b5000 and MRG square).

    • @xpusostomos
      @xpusostomos ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cr8460 the issue isn't comfort or discomfort, the issue is that the more acute the angle, the sharper or more defined the line, then when you bang it, more force is applied to a smaller surface area, resulting in more damage. That's bad enough, but if it's shiny steel covered with a dark coating there's a high probability the damage will be very obvious. If the edges are rounded, or better yet no edges at all, there's less chance there is high force to a small area.. unless you bang something sharp.

    • @cr8460
      @cr8460 ปีที่แล้ว

      @xpusostomos okay....but you're completely misunderstanding why people buy these models. They're not buying them for their ability to stand up against wear and tear. They want the best finishing Japan offers...I.e. Zarasu.
      You want durability without flea bites and scratches, look else where. Sure, MRGs and MTGs will last forever, but to think their finishing is less than impressive because it is susceptible to damage is to misunderstand the point of them. They're halo products.
