I think there’s a case to be made that Ghidorah’s not only stronger than Godzilla, but even Mechagodzilla. Putting Ghidorah’s hurricane and the energy needed to create that aside, when Ghidorah and the amped Godzilla rushed each other in Boston the resulting clash made a shockwave.
Even though Godzilla looked like he was moving faster in GvK, no such shockwave occurred when he and Mechagodzilla first clashed.
That list sounds about right to me.
Mecha G is 400 feet tall, Ghidorah is 500 and does just as well as Mecha did against a Godzilla that hadn't previously been weakened. Ghidorah is doubtlessly stronger then Mecha.

I'd argue that Ghidorah would still be above Godzilla, as we don't really know the details of their fight in the past other than the fact that Godzilla won. Who knows, maybe he had assistance from Mothra or something happened that allowed him to get the upperhand. That being said, I agree with the rest of the tier list :>
Godzilla didn't have assistance. Wounds found on Ghidorah can only be drawn back to Godzilla, Claw marks and burn marks. Dougherty even said only Godzilla and Ghidorah fought. Godzilla won. Iirc, Godzillamovie then tweeted out Godzilla K.O'd Ghidorah and threw him into the freezing waters of Antarctica.
Ghidorah is definitively stronger then Godzilla as we see in the arctic, and in the far past Godzilla would've been weaker then he was in KOTM. So something definitely happened to tip the scales in Godzillas favour.

@@Kami74159 Who knows. As we've seen for years of previous movies, Godzilla's always needed help of some sort. Time where I remember him not getting help was against Keiser Ghidora, but that Godzilla was op to begin with. I think it comes down to how much they can take. Ghidorah could possibly do more, but Godzilla is such a tank that he can endure all of it. I think the highs and lows are too far apart for them. Burning Godzilla pretty much beats everything, but basic Ghidorah is most likely stronger than basic Godzilla.

@Ryan Nowatski nope. You saw that kong's axe was able to pierce godzilla's skin, and completely decimated mecha godzilla. Meaning godzillas atomic breath could do the same. The axe is just a melee version of atomic breath when charged.

Alr yeah I agree ghidora should be above Godzilla considering even when Godzilla had his power up and went all out on ghidora he did no noticeable damage and to be clear when ghidora took energy from the volcano it was just to regenerate his head because if he absorbed more his wings would glow a little similarly to how Godzilla’s dorsal plates glow when he’s powered up and when ghidora actually did get a power up his wings glowed a little and there are many reasons why their ancient fight doesn’t provide substantial evidence but I’ll only explain why again if someone argues otherwise also a power up only gives a titan increased power when it comes to energy based attacks and a little adrenaline but considering the fact that ghidora lifted Godzilla with his heads even when he wasn’t powered up he probably just needed a distraction in order to instantly overpower Godzilla so yeah ghidora should be top of king tier and that’s not even considering that ghidora survived three pulses and being stepped on by a thermo Godzilla and if Godzilla didn’t bite the last head ghidora could’ve just slithered away and regenerated at a power source

This is shown in the novel as it’s described Ghidorah was dying when Godzilla was beating him ( amped goji ) and when Ghidorah got his power amped than and only than he started winning and that was only because Godzilla was unstable because he was going to explode.

Great tier list but I think Godzilla is above mecha since he used a lot of energy in that powerful beam to the hollow earth. Also Mothra should be placed higher since she is always be reborn. Above Kong because of that ability though judging on M.U.T.O Prime's shockwave abilities it would take at least centuries more likely millennia for Mothra to evolve to be able to beat M.U.T.O prime or even stand the shockwaves let alone it's arms. Otherwise I think this tier is amazing

Godzilla has more durabillity. But i have to be honest, in terms of speed Mecha wins. Godzilla Vs Mecha is basically Godzilla fighting Kevin but with several mechanical new weapons, and jets. Dr ishiro Serizawa also controlling the Mecha, while godzilla fought a one that has an extra 2 more heads. I know Godzilla nearly died in the movie, If the humans didnt interrupt Godzilla fighting Monster zero in water, Godzilla would actually win but earlier.
Nice vid, imo I would not put Kong with the axe in King teir, It's been confirmed by the director that when GZ used his atomic breath from the surface to hollow earth, he was exhausted from that. And he was still able to beat Kong with some struggle. By the time he fights Mecha GZ he was super worn down.

When Godzilla was using his Atomic Breath to drill a whole to Hollow Earth, I did some research via TH-cam, his Atomic Breath at that time reached 90 Billion Tons of TNT, in other terms 38 Quintillion Joules, pretty impressive isn't it? People underestimate Legendary Godzilla, and the fact that MechaGodzilla matched this power is insane, but you could argue Godzilla was tired, but MechaGodzilla seemed to overpower this Atomic Breath pretty easily.

Burning Godzilla was the coolest thing from a movie that I had seen in a very long time
I'd put Ghidorah above MechaGodzilla since he's also a counter Godzilla weapon, basically being Muto Prime with an energy attack and only being about equal to full power Godzilla (possibly weaker). Godzilla's increased weight was confirmed to be shit that the staff just threw on there and isn't reliable and Japanese promo material list him as exactly the same weight as King of the Monsters.
Ghidorah has control of the air, energy absorption, regeneration and can take a severe amount of punishment. I'd also say film wise that Ghidorah held his own decently against powered up Godzilla in Boston, something blatantly above Mechagodzilla, even if was clearly losing. His gravity beams and strikes even pre amped seemed to cause Godzilla a lot of pain and he withstood multiple blasts of atomic breath without much damage, something MechaGodzilla can't with the charged axe cleaving him up like butter.
Based on Aftershock and King of the Monsters, Godzilla's Hollow Earth feat is kinda just in line with stuff we've seen high tier monsters already do (moving giant storms and cracking continents should pack at least as much energy as vaporizing that much rock).
So for me: Burning Godzilla>>>>>amped Ghidorah (both versions)>>>amped Godzilla>base Godzilla>=Ghidorah>MechaGodzilla>Muto Prime.
@Ryan Nowatski The fight starts, Ghidorah gets blasted and it doesn't really damage him. They clash evenly and Ghidorah is swung back. Godzilla charges forward and clashed with him again. He got bit, swiped the head, got bit again and his him with his tail, moving Ghidorah but not very far.Godzilla then pins a head but Ghidorah gets up seconds after and recovers, even pushing Godzilla back. Godzilla comes in with the wide swing and gets bit, causing him pain and being forced back. The largest atomic breath is then used and while it forces Ghidorah back it really doesn't do much damage and Ghidorah was exposed for a very long time.
Godzilla was CLEARLY winning, but it's not like Ghidorah just sat there and got spanked, he fought back and survived long enough to get the amp. And MechaGodzilla is NOWHERE near amped Godzilla in terms of power.

You're missing that Godzilla was amped, and was winning. Amped Godzilla is doubtlessly stronger then base Ghidorah, but once Ghidorah evens the scales with his own amp Godzilla doesn't stand much chance.

Okay so when the director said this, "But what I will say is it again like this we should save this until the movie comes out but like there were versions that we explored, it never got past the kinda early animation phases, but there were versions where Godzilla was more in the battle. Like he got a lot more back and forth moments with Mechagodzilla and the only reason we kind of went in the direction we did was because it just didn’t quite work for whatever reason it was just it felt kind of superfluous it was just like okay Godzilla gets hit in but that but it wasn’t clear what the stakes were." I'm kind of confused on how a tired and injured Godzilla even hit Mechagodzilla in these other versions when Mechagodzilla is made to counter him and is very agile. Like what if these versions were in the movie instead of this scene where Godzilla gets destroyed and would people state their opinions differently?
If they decided to go with the versions where Godzilla did better, it would just mean Godzilla was stronger/less tired or Mecahgodzilla was weaker.

If Godzilla 2014, 2019, and 2021 are separate on this tier list, I would put Godzilla 2021 below Godzilla 2014 and Godzilla 2019 since Godzilla 2021 was extremely starved and nerfed, both Godzilla 2014 and 2019 didn’t get irritated by missiles unless if it targets their gills but however Godzilla 2021 got irritated by missiles even if it didn’t target his gills. I would put Godzilla 2019 above Godzilla 2014 and Godzilla 2021 though. The only thing that buffed Godzilla 2021 was his atomic beam. But Godzilla 2019 and Monster Zero causd a huge shockwave when they clashed while Godzilla 2021 and Mechagodzilla when clashed to each other couldn’t. When Godzilla 2014 clashed with Femuto, he actually put her down easily even if he got EMP nerf, maybe I could put him above Godzilla 2021 but below Mechagodzilla.
Also I would put Monster Zero above Mechagodzilla for now since Monster Zero’s beams might be enough to put Mechagodzilla out of it’s control by electrocuting him. Also Monster Zero has flight, he could use it to his advantage against Mechagodzilla, he could dodge his beam attacks, and he could block his attacks by wings.
So probably it’s Godzilla 2019 Base form / Nuke Powerup > Monster Zero > Mechagodzilla > Godzilla 2014 > Godzilla 2021 > MUTO Prime > Kong

A fun note: Ramarak is known as the big one since he’s the last at that time fully grown skull crawler, however it’s shown he is essentially the smallest adult crawler ever. The mega crawler in the cave drawing was larger than the zilla man.
Skull drawings aren’t always accurate. We see adult Skull crawlers in the kong comic and we see one in Godzilla vs Kong and none of them were bigger than Godzilla.

Kong didn’t lift Godzilla. Godzilla just stood up tall while Kong grabbed his neck to get a good grip while shoving the axe down his throat. Gojis definitely stronger
King Ghidorah should be first. His first fight against Godzilla he dominated knocking over Godzilla twice and dodging his atomic breath. For the third fight even a super charged Godzilla struggled a lot against Ghidorah and once Ghidorah got his electrical boost Godzilla was almost killed by him. Also, for the mechagodzilla fight the director stated that Godzilla used 50% of his power to blow through the center of the Earth and more fighting Kong. He was very tired and weak against mechagodzilla and I think that if he was fully fit it would have been much much closer. Not to mention Mechagodzilla is Ghidorah :)

Keep in mind Godzilla was not in good shape against Ghidorah and i don't think he struggled he was having a clear advantage not to mention the reason he brought Godzilla down in Antarctica was cause godzilla was left open while shooting his atomic breath and when Godzilla got up and rushed towards him he ran away

I feel like Godzilla and Ghidorah are exact equals, but in different stats.
See, I think Ghidorah has more POWER than Godzilla, but Godzilla has more physical strength. Now yes, Ghidorah managed to bring Godzilla into the stratosphere, but think of it as wrestling strength. This is why Godzilla was winning in the water. Ghidorah wasn’t able to fly away. I mean, almost every scenario, Godzilla wins, but due to Ghidorah being able to have more energy and use it more, I count him as an equal.
Kong isn’t that strong... he is legit a giant upright Gorilla. That’s ALL he is. He has agility, strength, opposable thumbs, great brain. Sounds like a primate.

Godzilla had a major advantages in the water fight which consisted of : 1. A surprise attack cause ghidorah was chasing the argo then Godzilla came out of nowhere 2. Ghidorahs wings make it extremely hard to move around in the water while Godzilla can literally swim 3. Ghidorah was can not breathe underwater
I think the Antarctic fight was the most equal fight since it was a newly awakened ghidorah vs Godzilla and even then ghidorah was winning but decided to leave after humans joined the fight so I basically what I’m trying to say is ghidorah is stronger than Godzilla since he won the fights where both Godzilla and ghidorah were equal

And yea, Ghidorah is at a huge disadvantage only when he cannot fly. On ground 1v1 melee he sucks. This is because Godzilla is physically stronger than him. From a distance though Godzilla is at a disadvantage because Ghidorah has more power than Godzilla. Ghidorah is more resistant to the atomic breath and can heal very quick. This is why they are equals.

You guys all realize it is physically impossible to breathe in space, right? There is literally nothing to breathe in, that's why it's called a vacuum. I don't think it was the lack of oxygen that was giving Ghidorah a hard time.

If you think about it than mechgodzilla is weaker than Godzilla because Kong and Godzilla were at 50% power meaning since Godzilla is stronger than Kong so Godzilla is stronger than Mechagodzilla.
I like how Genitor (giant fish from the comic) and Tiamat were sent lower because they work better underwater but this treatment wasn't used against Godzilla for his fights against Kong (who was still drugged at the time) and Ghidorah (who was caught off-guard) lol, the Earth being 75% water is cute as an excuse but what you should say is that that much of it is covered by water, since overall the Earth is more earth than water.
Being Godzilla's ancient rivals, Ghidorah and Kong should be comparable to him when the two fought him, since the fights and lore depicted them as equal capable of besting the other. I mean, are we really going to ignore Kong beating the crap out of Godzilla in the city (and even in the first fight, he knocked out Godzilla a few times despite being in a weakened state) before his arm got dislocated (which clearly didn't make the fight fair at that point)? Or Ghidorah getting tag teamed and back attacked multiple times during the final fight in KOTM and continuing to fight?
The difference is that the fish is literally useless outside of the water, and Tiamat is significantly weaker, while Godzilla is not weaker in the water, if anything he is stronger on land, but most other enemies are weak in the water, while Godzilla isn't. And while Ghidorah did kind of get tagged teamed, he was losing, and was only winning after getting a power boost and while Godzilla was tired and going critical from taking in too much energy from the nuke. Godzilla also likely got stronger since then, as his power seemed greater in Godzilla vs Kong that it was in KOTM. He also spams his atomic breath more in GvK. Ghidorah can be argued above Godzilla, but Godzilla has two confirmed wins and possibly got stronger since then, while Ghidorah only has one win.

Ghidorah did literally nothing to Godzilla the entire film until he dropped him and relied on physics to do it for because he was too weak to damage Godzilla himself. He lost every single fight they had. Godzilla pulled his limbs off. There's no human on Earth you can do that to or can do that to you because the difference in strength required is asinine.
You can't even do that to an infant. Meaning the strength difference between Godzilla and Ghidorah is greater than a grown man and an infant, let that sink in.

Retreating is never a victory, especially after doing nothing besides harmlessly pushing Godzilla over. There are many people that can't fathom how ghidorah lost this so I'll explain a bit more. *If one party retreats, the other objectively wins*
•If this was a UFC fight, ghidorah dealt no damage then jumped out of the ring, and lost not only the round, but the entire match.
•If this was a battle at war (a much closer analogy) and you retreat, you lost the battle, there are countless examples of this.
•If a bully attacks you at school and you manage to push him over and run away, you didn't win...you just escaped.
The second fight truly shows us how inferior ghidorah is to Godzilla, when they have Godzilla pull ghidorah apart like a dandelion. Imagine pulling another person's head off. You can't, no matter what you do.... it's impossible. This is like a large bear vs a man.... That's how large the strength gap is.
Also saying that the fight being underwater made it unfair is a pitiful excuse. Being in water didn't make Godzilla stronger nor did it make Ghidorah less durable, being in water doesn't somehow make ghidorah easier to pull apart. If they fought mid air, ghidorah still wouldn't be strong enough to rip Godzillas head off. The arena has no impact on how strong you are.
The 3rd fight Godzilla is curbstomping ghidorah as usual.... tanking or no selling everything ghidorah does, until ghidorah gets enough plot armour to *somehow* choke godzilla out with the same head that he casually plucked off in the last fight with half the leverage he has now. Realistically, all Godzilla would have to do there was push against his body to tear through considering he already did that but now he's stronger from the nuke and in more of an optimal scenario to do so.... *But the plot wouldn't let him*

Contrivances aside... A nameless extra has a better chance of beating John Wick than ghidorah had beating Godzilla based on what was shown. *John would have to be both completely bullet proof and strong enough to pull the other guy to pieces, just to make it a 1-1 analogy*

Honestly I think Kong would've won out against Camazoatz eventually. The bat would've kept outminuvering him for a while but when he moved in to finish off Kong he would've gotten pummeled like in Kingdom Kong.

But the fighter jets shot camaztoz which gave Kong his opportunity to gain the advantage.

I literally already explained what happened as soon as they fought in close quarters combat. Camaztoz was still winning.

Plus the spikes that camaztoz is covered in slashed kong's skin up badly, you can clearly see cuts on Kong in the comic. The impact would've definitely hurt Kong and it did. personally, I'd put rodan higher. After his fight with ghidorah, he was forced to go around the globe destroying cities and all. So in his fight with mothra, he must've been somewhat tired. Despite this, he still pins her and nearly kills her with relatively low difficulty, and could've finished her off if it was not for his cockyness. He's also been shown to be much faster than both mothra and ghidorah, and can break the sound barrier while in flight.
I'd put Rodan lower. People use his fight with Ghidorah as proof of his strength when he didn't even do anything and got KO'd by one gravity beam, Godzilla was able to take three.
Bonus: the stats in gvk are utter bullshit, stated by the gvk stat.
1. Ghidorah ran away because he had been hibernating for millions of years right after a battle which he lost, he was more than obviously drained and weakened yet he overpowered godzilla.
2.We do not know the circumstances of how godzilla beat ghidorah in their last battle in Antarctica, there is even cave paintings depicting godzilla getting help from mothra and dagon ( the godzilla the prime killed) would have definitely helped, regardless we don't know enough it isn't usable.
3. Ghidorah was blatantly overpowering godzilla in their 2019 antarctica battle.
4. The mexico battle is irrelevant because ghidorah is a flying titan, in the ocean, it isn't fair to judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree.
5. In the Boston battle godzilla was more powerful than ever, he wasn't tired, he reached critical mass due to the amount of power he had obtained, and even after he obtained another boost he couldn't kill ghidorah outright and had to crush his ribcage on top of using a pulse in the middle of his meltdown reaching it's tipping point, and even then he didn't die.
6. Ghidorah could and would fry mechagodzilla's circuits.

The Earth's radiation is the most powerful source in the whole universe. Only ONE Titan has this source built inside. It's Godzilla. This makes him the most powerful force of nature on the planet. Godzilla's atomic breath was a lot more powerful in GvK. Since he went thermonuclear this was the most powerful version of him outside of Anime.
The Only other Titan with access to this source is Kong's Royal Ax. With the Ax makes Kong the Other most powerful force of nature on the planet.
Kong did receive on the job training with the ax. Their was 2 times he seemed surprised. The first time when the ax stopped Godzilla's atomic breath attack. The other is when Godzilla was able to recharge the ax.
The atomic breath saved Godzilla's life. The EMP blast did knock Godzilla briefly out for a moment. It was long enough for Kong to grab a spire and find a place to climb and ambush Godzilla. Godzilla went into protective mode by being on Fours. Godzilla knew Kong didn't have the AX. He was expecting an ambush. The Ax would have forced Godzilla back to his feet. Kong went for the same finishing move he used on Camazotz. He tried to choke and pummel Godzilla. He underestimated Godzilla's bite. The same bite that ripped Ghidorah's head off easily.
Ranking Titans is difficult. Is MechaG a Titan??? Or a weapon like the Oxygen Destroyer? Godzilla could have hit MechaG from behind but decided to heat the ax.
Only Godzilla can take a hit from the charged ax. The ax would cut through MechaG and Ghidorah like butter. Ghidorah can't just regenerate as easy as we think. Also didn't Kong put up a better fight at sea then Ghidorah did??? My point is Kong is he wild card. His species have killed Gojira species. I thought the synopsis said the 2 most powerful were G and K. That released before KOTM ever did.

Of course the Ghidorah head took over later. The truth is MechaG truly was never Ghidorah. It's a great spin to have Ghidorah haunt the film. I don't call MechaG a Titan. I call him a Titan Weapon made by humanity. Ghidorah happened to hijack the Mecha. We can call him a Titan if needed.
Godzilla's atomic breath in GvK was a lot more powerful since KOTM and after the pulses that destroyed Ghidorah. We knew he was going to explode like an atom bomb and Mothra's sacrifice helped him to release enough radiation to survive and it happened to also fry Ghidorah.
The reason I said Ghidorah couldn't just regenerate was from Michael Doughtery discusiing it. He made it clear that Ghidorah would need an extreme amount of energy to be able to do it. That is why he flew over to the volcano. Ghidorah can't just grow back a head.
Kong would have died 3 times??? The fact that Kong was in the most dire situation you could put him in, speaks volume about him Surviving. IQ is considered a trait. We can agree on this. Right? It's the same trait you mentioned on why Godzilla chose to power Kong's ax. Kong was sedated and chained to a Cargo ship. You mentioned the humans fired at him saved Kong? I saw Godzilla get hit earlier by missles and still fired away in Pensicola. I understand what your really trying to say. I thought the military wanted both off the carrier. Kong not dying and Godzilla swimming away isn't considered a loss to me. It showed me Kong is very intelligent.
You also mentioned slap like Godzilla slapped Kong like a move of dominance or using it as a derogatory way towards Kong because maybe you don't like the character. I love both Kings. I'm hoping you meant slap as a mistake.
Actually Godzilla's weight and tail kept him upright from Kong's punch. The slap is actually a swipe. Godzilla swings like a Grizzley Bear. That is his version of his best punch. Kong fell from his balance more then the impact of the swipe. This is 2 Titans standing on a carrier at sea? Agreed? It's fair to say Kong can stand up but his agility is better on fours. The shot Kong landed on Godzilla awhile on his back can be considered a devasting punch to give him time to get up and shove him off. Or keep this debate fair. Both are on a carrier and Godzilla also was having issues with balance. I was impressed when Godzilla ambushed Kong the 2nd time that was similar ro the way he ambushed Ghidorah. The first time Kong held Godzilla and headbutted him. Kong stands up and evaluates the situation. He sees the carrier as his best chance for survival. He took the leap of faith.
The 2nd time Godzilla realized Kong needed air. Not only was Kong ambushed but once again broke from Godzilla and kicked him in the head. At sea Godzilla is fast. Godzilla used his weight to try and end the fight. The depth charges in the novel did hit both Titans. Kong described in the novel as punching a mountain. He also knew mountains can move. He acknowledged Godzilla's strength and was aware in the novel about sea creatures trying to drown him. He was use to always winning. This felt different. He was determined and it mentioned he punched himself free after the depth charges.

Lind knew from a conversation with Mark Russell reminded him to turn off everything could trick Godzilla. In the novel Godzilla checked out his territory and knew he was tricked. Kong is referred too as the ancient one. A rivalry that dated back furthur then the 3 headed one. He sensed Kong at the Cold place. He was on his way till the hidden one(MechaG) gave a signal. We saw this in the film. He goes straight to Hong Kong. Godzilla had no clue what this hidden one was. He was angry about the ancient one invading his territory. They both sensed each other but it's like they have some unritten rule that hasn't been discussed yet. Both were Alpha Kings.
Back to my point......
Kong has arms and hands. He is very powerful. Godzilla's head is at least twice bigger then a Ghidorah head. Imagine if Kong grabbed a Ghidorah head. Actually the 63 American version. Loved Both. My twin bro loved Godzilla and I preferred Kong. Been a debate for over 40 years between us.I'm bitter over the 150 dollar bet. lol.

Watch the Hollow Earth throne scene. Storms at the top. We can't dismiss Kong can't draw strength from electricity. It has happened to the character before. He took enough voltage to light Vegas up for a week.
Most likely a fight between the 2 never happens. Ghidorah wouldn't go near Kong. If he did then it's most likely on Kong's turf. The closest thing we ever will get is Kong holding one of the heads. That head had a Mecha shell around it. Ripping off MechaG's head seems harder. The truth is have Ghidorah ahead of both or below. Their is case for both.

Just because Ghidorah can grow his heads back doesn’t mean he can survive anything besides deatomization. I believe the director even said Godzilla would have killed Ghidorah if the oxygen destroyer didn’t come. And the director didn’t say Godzilla would have beat Mechagodzilla, he just said he would have done better.
yes he can he literally grew a whole limb back in seconds idk what's more obvious than that and Godzilla would've killed Ghidorah bcuz physically he can't retaliate or do anything to stop Godzilla so he would constantly keep destroying him underwater where he's at the biggest disadvantage and the Director literally said for Godzilla vs MechG beam clash "I don't think that would be the case if Godzilla coming in fresh" basically saying if Godzilla wasn't weakened than he would've won the beam clash the director even stated "I didn't want to give the impression that MechaG was just so powerful" so yeah and if Godzilla Atomic breath hit him than he would've definitely been 1 shot bcuz MechaG durability is nun compared to Godzilla since he got sliced to bits by Kong amped Axe which is a weaker amp compared to when Godzilla amped it in their fight in Hong Kong and Kong stabbed his thigh it only gave him a cut that didn't even nerf Godzilla mobility at all and when Godzilla witstood a amping axe to the head and came back 1½ minute later completely fine with no scars (since it's been shown & confirmed that if Godzilla is physically weakened than his Atomic Breath will be weaker too) so yeah if u actually read Adam Wingard statements and take into consideration the context of those feats then it's obvious that if Godzilla was at his peak strength he would've beat MechaG
