Found out about my sister’s financial abuse of both parents in 2011 after my stepmother’s death. Been wanting to find a way to tell others too Tracey. If you need stories for examples, they’re endless and like you, when it’s gone it’s irreversible. My only son drank their poison too. Never really was close with my adoptive/bio family, but betrayals are always the same: confuse/deceive/shame/isolate/repeat. So glad I found your channel, there are no support groups for this❤
What a horrible grandson & sounds like a horrible daughter too! Can't believe they weren't charged with something, but it's understandable considering they willingly signed over their home to him. Who needs enemies when you have family like this? You've experienced this abuse with Joy and I've experience it with my Grandmother! I just don't know how family can be so greedy! They are such users & abusers! Thanks for sharing Tracey!
Financial abuse is USUALLY done by family members, unfortunately. I had to get legal guardianship of my mother (who died of Alzheimer's years ago) because my brother was ripping her off financially--as well as committing other forms of elder abuse, sadly.
the fact that this couple is that naive is hard to believe, ive been an advocate for so many people and it is a full time job keeping older people in check with so many changing emotional scams,, sad but the signals here were missed for a long time w this grand kid , alot of people want to live in a fantasy land theres alot more to this story no doubt and who has been this childs enabler
Absolutely. My parents refused to believe me at 9 years old when I told them my sister intentionally broke my arm. I always knew she hated me and made sure before it was over the extended family/neighbors believed I was a “con”, but she was doing exactly that. Insurance company, “trusted” annuity planner, bank manager, lawyer, judge, anyone she had the opportunity to slander me to. All involved live very well now and even though I may never reach their levels of materialism, I know I did the right things for both parents, and have an intact soul with a clear conscience.
This is really awful and sad and I don’t want to sound the wrong way here but I can’t help but wonder why this couple weren’t smarter than that? I mean how they believed what the grandson was telling them just blows my mind. My in laws are in their late 80s and would no way fall for something like that.
You have to wonder what the guy did with all that money--gambling problem? Drugs? Big spender? Did the grandparents have NO idea that their beloved grandson had some kind of problem? Love can be blind.
He groomed them, at the end didn't you hear her say, he went over for breakfast every morning, I became the owner of mother's property when she was alive, for financial reasons, and she trusted me to do right by her, some families members can't be trusted with your years of hard earned money 🥴
Some people are just really trusting of family and with no history of him taking advantage I’m sure they trusted what he said he would do and help them. 🫤
This makes me so sad! My best friend’s sibling has been scammed out of $100,000 + and still sends $ to this scumbag! She is convinced that she has won all kinds of gifts and she has become demented and is continuing to give this man more $!
This is horrible...our family situation was different but it's just unfortunate how money is all some people can see when it comes to our elderly family members. Why would anyone allow their greed to take all someone else has worked for. I shared our story below. It's long I understand if no one wants to read it. Sorry Tracy I think it became cathartic and I posted it. My great aunt 103(childless) trusted the elder niece of our family as executor of her estate...why (she was the oldest of everyone)nothing could change her stance on that. I think it's because they're from a different era where being eldest is a position of respect/honor?!?. She left close to 2 million (bank) to be distributed amongst her heirs. In addition to the sale of her home/car. She was my deceased dad's aunt, his mother's sister. We were very close, she was my favorite since a child. Like sleepover, nail painting and play dress up aunt. Years before I purchased the other sisters home when she passed and it was around the corner from aunt and next door to grandmother (dad's mom). Before dad passed he was the one to persuade me to get my young adult self in order and buy it. As I lived the closest to her I was a helper. Running errands, grocery runs, taking her to the bank etc. She was very spry, still drove and lived alone. We talked about her estate when she would bring it up and I knew what her intentions were. She had been experiencing fainting spells we discovered while a few of us were visiting (luckily she had one during our visit, as she wasn't telling us) so the eldest and her daughter who were retired moved in alternating weeks and everyone else alternated weekends to give them a break. My aunt independent and healthy for 103 did not want a nursing home etc. A few month's prior to this her baby brother 97 or so passed. He was on all her accts and executor of her estate and vice/versa. When she updated her paperwork, well my aunt put the eldest on the bank acct & will. Of course thinking that person would do the "right" thing. Well the will didn't mention her bank accts. Just her home /vehicle and personal items. Guess who got the bank acct stuff... Yep. Along with a portion of house sale and she kept the car. We're talking about an 80yr old individual (thief). I don't even classify her as a person anymore. Money brings out the greed and worst in people. I'm not even going to discuss the accidental butt dial she inadvertently made and my phone msg recorded it, on the morning of funeral discussing with her daughter and a friend the bank account and me (hide the statements). That's a whole other story 😅. I was 58 at the time, 61 now. After this unfortunate event I've been privy to read 3 other wills, bank accounts were not listed on any of them. They go all in on personal property etc but it's related to the home. I even went back and found both my grandmothers(mom & dad) no mention of financial $$ or bank accts, outside of homes. Is this the type of will, lawyers draft for poor folk ...i have no idea but I see a pattern, yes to me 3 + 2 more, it's a pattern, lol. I've also learned there are many ways to place someone on your bank account. And the banking establishment is not providing you with an explanation of these options. Don't assume people know this, just because we walking in putting our people names on our accounts. Especially with those elderly. That's such BS. Unfortunately the way the 'individual' was listed on my aunts account it was a joint acct. Legally it made all the assets hers. My son's father tried convincing me to fight it etc. Knowing what my aunt wanted. At least asking the probate judge to provide us with a copy of the will, no one outside of 'individuals' ever saw it. And at least inform the judge about the bank accounts I didn't I saw no point. I guess I could have taken my phone with that 15 min butt dial conversation that would have at least questioned if wrong doing was at play. Oh I will share when confronted about that phone call, denied it was her. The call in my phone flagged coming from her phone. Dummy you're one of my contacts your calls and texts will automatically come up under your name..The whole ordeal was stressful, giving me anxiety which I didn't like and just a general feeling of unease. I resigned myself to the adage God bless the child who has their own. **I advise any of you to make sure that all financial institution accounts are listed along with how it's to be distributed, along with any other personal properties in your will. Don't exclude because your husband, wife, sister, brother or Billy goat is listed on the account. Depending how listed the account will become that persons property. You may have your thoughts about people following your wishes but if it not in black and white, it does not exist. Wills must be "explicit" to be enforced. I am so SORRY...I must have really needed to get 👆🏾 that out from supposedly letting it all go 3 yrs ago.
Greg L. Chiming in .. How could someone be sooo callous & evil to take advantage of their own family, flesh & blood, like that? They got a place for people like that, it's called "Hell"!! I hope that grandson likes the heat because there's only one place 'he's' going ... that's sooo sad it makes me sick just thinking about it!! I can't fathom how someone could be that selfish or heartless!! Couldn't that be 'Fraud' in legal terms? And couldn't it also be thought of as 'Grand Larcency' legally for him to be misappropriating funds as a loan, showing he had no intention of paying the loan back from day one? If they could get a good lawyer to represent them probono I think they should be able to get their house back? But there should be laws made to protect people like this, or against new presidents looking to take their social security away from them (somethng they've already paid for thru the government), not for the government to misappropriate those funds to balance budgets, a job they were 'elected' to do with taxes in the first place!! If this couple wants to find their grandson, they should call their local political representatives because THAT'S what he's probably become?? Sooo sad. Nothing we can do about it, because we tried to vote a good person into office, but instead were outvoted to put a lying, cheating, manipulator, that has no respect for women, or even himself, but has an ego & dreams of dictatorship instead!!! How do you fight THAT? The decline of western 'civilization' as we know it!! Take care Tracey!! Love ya!! - Your BIGGEST fan & Minnesota Man - Greg L. 💜💗💜💗💜
My dad did same to me when I started college and said if I sign(quit claim) my condo in Orange Co CA then I would be eligible for financial aid. he never gave it back and said "just proves how stupid you are"....
I am going to open up about my family in that I believe that my brother got my mom to change her will and left me nothing and he got the most of it and I can’t do anything about it because she was capable of saying and signing anything so I get nothing
When will you be going to more uplifted videos or is this now the norm? 😊❤ SAD video and so sad that it happens all the time. You wonder how anyone can do such a thing especially a family member.
This is her life right now! Not easy…I’ve been where she is with both of my parents as their caretaker. Also, sitter we had for a while stole $60K from them when they loved and cared for her like a daughter..
This happens many times every day. Especially when someone begins to lose their mental acuity. Especially if you have the elder under someone else's care.
I'm from Thousand Oaks, where this happened. I feel so bad for joy because it must be so heartbreaking for her 😪
Thank you so much Tracey for your story, it is very informational and I do appreciate that..👍💯
That’s so awful. That dirtbag needs to rot in jail.

That is awful to hear they trusted him he needs to face jail time !!!
He so should! But they signed the deed over to him so there’s not much that can be done for them. 🫤
How cruel. I don't know how people can become so evil.
This breaks my heart, but I have seen this in other families too.

Wow, just wow. What a scumbag that grandson is.
This is happening to the lady I care for. Similar situation she can’t do anything about it since the house is in her daughters name. So freaking sad 😔

Unbelievable sad story - great software that you mastered Tracey - sharing these stories will spread knowledge - a good deed❤
@@louisbonilla6780 There is an IOS called StreamYard that a lot of TH-camrs use, I’ve heard it’s very user friendly.
With all this evidence an there's no judge out thier to help these people..this is disgraceful

What is it called when a hospital, a Rehab Center, And Social Services work deviously together to intentionally force an elder person onto Medicaid?
The trusted their own blood.
