Very very briljant in its simplicity. 👍👍 perhaps some time could be saved if you leave the halyards ( and maybe even the forestay with jib attached) on the topend of the mast with a sleeve around it. That’s basically what you do with the bowsprit as well is’nt it?
The trick is to drop it in stages, just like raising it - and shift your hand position at every stage so that you end up with the base on the ground and your hands towards the balance point at the mid point of the mast when you finally drop it.
Any plans to update this video for the newest model? I know there are now some differences with the new boat setup & design. Received mine and I see some challenges for my 1st setup!
Thank you @chris just got my Weta, watched this more than a few times to get rigging down. Very helpful.
If you use a soft shackles to connect your jib sheets you can leave your bowlines tied and quickly attach sheets or change position on the jib
Looks simple yet well thought out!
One of these popped up on FB Marketplace. I'm interested, I think it'll be a fun boat to get on the water again.
Sure will! I'd say, go for it,what's there to lose?

Nice… The boat looks nice too.

Thx Chris, some nice ideas there. Enjoying the Weta experience.
Is the North Sails gennaker standard?
Keen eyes! We are in the process of switching from Gaastra to Norths, but the sails themselves are identical.

Thanks for the feedback, it's probably time we updated this!
Wunderschön ☀️
More than 100 steps - rigging and derigging. Way too much effort for a weekday evening sail.
It takes 15 minutes with practice and a few shortcuts. Much less effort than most monohulls or catamarans of similar size.
Get COUCH
looks like a huge pain in the ass to set up and take down...
About as simple as you can possibly rig given the extreme capabilities of this boat
Gwt a couch
