- On this week's episode of The Breakdown, brought to you by Sky Bet, we take a close look at Manchester City's latest dynamic duo, Julián Álvarez and Jérémy Doku.
Do you think Manchester City will win a fourth consecutive title with Doku and Alvarez as key figures. Or do you think the injury to De Bruyne will eventually be their downfall?

This Alvarez guy is an absolute gun
Watching him last season in bits n pieces at City it was obvious they had a high quality player on theor hands
It makes you wonder what other clubs were doing scouting wise to not pick this guy up at a bargdin rate
they don't need De Bruyne successor, they've proved that this season, what they need is Rodri successor, as they lost 2 games when Rodri's out this season.
Rodri's game improved so much more now he is everywhere on pitch best creator from deep too and the goals too.
Rodri is so young what successor
They wont replace him by getting a player similar to him, thats impossible. They'll mould Foden into a midfielder and get someone like a Florian Wirtz to play along side him and Rodri, there's just so many options. City will be more than fine
Yeah Wirtz or musiala will be signed
People saying Maddison are crazy! He is no where near the level needed to do what he does. The best person would be Bellingham hands down.
U guys need to stop lying about the type of player Bellingham is lol. Bellingham would suit the Gundogan role way more than the KDB role. Making him a pure playmaker would hinder his game.
Funny how people were saying the same thing about KdB when he first joined and now he's top tier.
The only answer that will look and seem believable currently is Foden. However depending how long pep stays at city .. say he stays 5 more years and KDB is continuing his now injury lengths I reckon Pep is about to create a whole new formation and match play dynamic. We could end up seeing a team start with 2 at the back with 2 DMs to stop with an extra midfielder.
Musiala or Wirtz. Would be madness.
Bien 👍
It's Maddison and they messed up by not getting him in the summer. I thought they were 100% going to buy him. Rotating De Bruyne (If fit) and Maddison for a year or so having Maddison learning from him day in day out seemed like such a no brainer to me.
You should be a manager captain hindsight
@@markoconnell6111 Thank you for your wisdom
Pep wishes he had Trent, only player capable of coming close.
Musiala or Wirtz
City will buy some unknown gem from South America or even Europe for a fee on paper for around 40-60m but in offshore payments, bungs and bribes it will be about 150m. Like the Haaland deal.

Irreplaceable
Florian Wirtz.
Underrated? He's literally their best player this season and arguably the best in the league. Ridiculously versatile
Moyes out
Bien
There is none.
Xavi Simons
Florian Wirtz

Pep wishes he had Trent, only player capable of coming close.
😂😂😂
What sort of joke is this?😭
Trent wouldn't be able to play under peps systems. It requires actually effort in tracking back and defending
Cheatin club
Wirtz or musiala
Maddison would have been perfect
