I'm a huge fan of tinted mineral sunscreen and I struggled with the flat look vs dewy debate for awhile. I settled with Colorescience's classic. It's a little dewy but I dab it with the spf powder (without rubbing, and very lightly) on the T zone as I'm naturally oily. I've realized the dew look works on me, even my oily skin, in moderation - while the mattes make me look older.
I tried Mychelle and loved the serum-y formulation, but it was a bit too matte for me, and the color was a bit off. Then I tried Ilia and loved the formulation, but it was a bit too dewy, and the color was very good but not perfect. So I mixed them together, and now it’s perfect - radiant finish, light (but buildable) coverage, perfect color. It’s very liquidy which I love, but a tad messy so I put it on the back of my hand and use a brush to apply. It looks flawless every time.
Omg just wanted to say your bare skin is absolutely flawless. Not a single blemish or speck of hyperpigmentation. If there is a sunscreen poster child, it should be you!!
Thanks for the review Abbey! I have similar skin tone to you and I mix the Colorscience with either EltaMD UV Elements or MyChelle and that way I get the perfect shade and finish. I can’t believe how much money I have recently invested in sunscreens but it’s absolutely worth it. I am using just tinted sunscreen lately and skipping foundation altogether, which is amazing and I love it! I do add concealer where I need it and do other eye and brow makeup as well but I’m soooo impressed that I get good enough coverage with tinted sunscreen!
Love the review! Im using the colorscience flex in tan right now and will use medium in the fall. I use this as my foundation. Its amazing;. Does not irritate my eyes, plays well with powder bronze/blush/highlight and dust the face with my HG setting powder from. NIkkia Joy Cosmetics. Just to give you an idea of the tan shade, I'm using Marc Jacobs extra shot is shade tan 310 to spot conceal and it matches perfectly. Its definitely buildable to a medium-ish coverage without feeling like your wearing foundation and it evens out my skin tone. This product is a win-win 🙌.
Girl! I have been scouring through reviews trying to determine what I should try for my needs.. This video is SO helpful! most helpful I've seen... Going to watch some of your other videos too... I'm going to try the Mychelle.. it sounds like it's going to be right for my needs.. Thanks so much!
I also would love to see an updated video on the same subject. The Mychelle has been reformulated and I personally won’t use it now. Also I would love to see your evaluation of Undefined R&R. They also went through reformulation problems but handled it well and their own site has the corrected formulation.
I love the Australian Gold Tinted SPF!! It is more matte but works so well with makeup, oh my damn. It stays looking nice all day long. 100% it is a game changer!
it’s so good!! i have to use moisturizer underneath it though otherwise i look like a reptile 4 hrs later. probably the only spf that gets dryer through the day instead of greasy lol
I've been wearing the new Cetaphil tinted mineral sunscreen. It's a smidge dark but most are. The Elta MD UV Elements is even darker, but it's also drying on my dry skin. I tend to get an untinted mineral sunscreen to mix in. I do end up pretty shiny at times - nothing a bit of powder doesn't fix. I usually don't bother with foundation these dayz; I get enough coverage from my sunscreen.
That was my problem with the Elements! It would show my dry patches so bad! Even with extra moisturizer! 😫 I loved everything about it besides how drying it was on my skin.
@@chelseazaydaraensehon1198 which on would you recommend? I am a dehydrated patchy skin gurl too and want to switch from foundations to tinted sunscreen 🥺 I am olive skin tho and that’s why choosing between DRMTLGY and Elta, I wanted to buy Eltamd as it is darker and people say drmtlgy is too shiny, Now I’m lost 🥲
@@Alishawlk well I bought the elements once again lol but if you moisturizer A LOT it’s not that bad. I wanted to try the restore but they didn’t have it where I buy my sunscreen locally. I’ve heard the Elta restore tinted is a little more moisturizing. I heard the Cotz tinted is moisturizing and is good for deeper skin tones. I want to try the Cotz tinted sunscreen next you can get it at Ulta. ColorScience flex one has been good on my skin too. They have more colors in the ColorScience flex sunscreen! I actually prefer the ColorScience over the Elta MD because the ColorScience is more pigmented. Sorry if I wasn’t much help 😅 I’m on the sunscreen journey myself trying to find a good hydrating tinted mineral sunscreen.
Which one are you referring to? I love and use Paula’s Choice products, but most of their tinted sunscreens are only SPF 30 and I cannot use them around my eyes … I use retinol, so I need 50.
I have used Paula's Choice skin care for a few years, and love it. But I recently got the tinted sunscreen and I'm not impressed. It's too matte and dry looking for my skin. DRMTLGY has a new once this video that's a Physical/natural screen. It's a little more satin, which suits my aging skin better, as mattes tend to accentuate wrinkles.
Love the video it's so helpful! Drmtlgy just came out with a water resistant tinted all mineral sunscreen that I just purchased so I'm waiting for it to come in the mail. My only reservations about not trying it was that it wasn't water resistant but now that they have it I can't wait to try it!
I tried to order the new Drmtlgy a few weeks ago but either my PayPal or their website cancelled my order. Twice. I was annoyed & gave up. Now I want it again lol
I bought it when it came out because I needed a water resistant all mineral SPF. it’s great combined with powder. Alone I find it never dries down. Which is a bummer for me. I specifically bought it to wear alone outside. My hair is forever sticking to my face. I’m usually doing good to wait 20 minutes before heading out so I never have time to powder it to take away the tackiness. But it’s the only water resistant SPF I can find that I can wear so I’m keeping it.
Dr. Sam Ellis (Dermatologist) sold me on Colorscience Flex based on the ingredients and finish. I blend Light & Medium shade for my perfect match. That’s also what Dr. Ellis does. Gave my DIL the CS Matte and she really likes it too.
Abbey thank you so much for all your research and opinions. I was turned onto AustralianTinted SPF thanks to you quite awhile back. I LOVE it. It’s my everyday sunscreen and I’m forever grateful to you for recommending it. TBH the price keeps me a dedicated customer. Still love watching your videos and love to see if there’s something else I’d like to try. Take care!!
I wish I could wear that as it looks beautiful on the skin. It's super dark on me (the "fair" shade) and it's kinda orangey. Unfortunately all tinted sunscreens lean that way so I've been stuck with white casts as my only option. We'll see how MyChelle does. Will probably oxidize to medium orange 😅
Okay…I’m 47. Medium neutral skin. Sometimes dry, sometimes combo, can get oily throughout the day. (Thanks Rx trentinoin). I have the Drm, and the Flex in medium. I love both. However, I tend to grab one depending on what my plan is for the day and they both get VERY dewy. And I love the dew but it’s a lot. Two things I’ve added to the routine for different reasons: 1. The Colorscience Bronze. Love this shade. I can add it to anything when I’m self-tanning. 2. Supergoop Matte. Also mix this in if I’m needing long wear. I didn’t know about the CS Matte. So…I’ve been mixing quite a bit depending on skin tone, plans for the day, and what my skin is doing. Also, a dry beauty blender is great for dabbing it to avoid streaks. Which on me, they all do. I’m just a skin and hair mess over here. What can I say…?
Those are great tinted sunscreens....I have the MyChelle, but I'm trying to get my hands on the newer Australian Gold tinted sunscreen. They have 4 or 5 shades & the range goes from fair to a very deep color which is awesome, so that will be my next face screen to try out!! Thanks for this video xoxo 😘💕
I will tell you that the Australian Gold is super matte and I find it very drying, uncomfortable and way too matte for my mature, somewhat dry skin. Maybe it would be better if I mixed it with something else but I just don’t even use it anymore because I have the others like Colorscience and MyChelle. Best of luck, just wanted to tell you my experience, hoping it’s helpful!
Unfortunately the fair shade is super dark on me and leans orange. I'm sticking with the Sunbum Tinted Mineral which actually leans cool and fair which never happens. Almost every Tinted Sunscreen I've tried leans orange or is way too dark. I hope they continue adding shades on both ends of the spectrum and start to include cool tones, and even olive one day for those that don't have a warm undertone. But it is a beautiful Sunscreen so if your tone fits I definitely recommend trying it
This is perfect timing! I’m in need of a new one now that my HG tinted sunscreen from Paula’s Choice is running low and I want to try a new one to change it up!
For me the universal shades run too light to wear alone. However, I’ve discovered I can apply a my No7 foundation drops that are a tad too deep first. I then apply the tinted moisturizer. This works well for me because the sheerness of the moisturizer allows the foundation drops under it to shine through. However adding it to any SPF directly as a mixer is a definite no no. But I feel safe adding the tinted SPF after as a last step. My current go to is the new all physical SPF from drmtlgy. I can’t wear anything but mineral SPF. But I won’t be repurchasing because it’s way too tacky worn alone.
I am a soon to be mommy and wanted to stop wearing foundation and use tinted sunscreens instead to still get like a minimal make up look. I found many of them too drying or oily so I decided to use all of my normal sunscreens and add a few drops of the Drunk Elephant Bronzing drops to it and I am absolutely in love with it. Since I am pale I also have no problem with adjusting it to my skin color so I don't have to spend money on products that are way too dark for me.
Ive tried several tinted Sunscreens and I think for the price and quality DREMTLGY is amazing! I have universal and physical and use at different times. Daily driver is universal and sport/pool/beach is physical.
I love tinted sunscreens 🧴 My all time favourite is the Australian Gold tinted. I do like the DRMTLGY tinted ones too. But I don’t trust it for super sunny days. I just picked up the All Good tinted sunscreen. It’s marketed as a “clean” sunscreen. That’s turns me off a bit but it looks decent. I want to try Mychelle but the bottle is so small!
I just ordered the classic and flex along with a matte sheer powder from Colorescience, your videos have been very helpful! We are a fair family that lives in Florida and I buy sunscreen for ages 7, 11, 15, and 43 so everything from young skin to teen acne and aging. My teen son and youngest currently use Bliss Block Star because the tint helps to eliminate the cast and it is matte which helps with our humid climate and oily/acne skin. My middle son has sensitive skin and can't do the fragrance in the block star so he uses Kinfield Daily Dew which is untinted and gives a dewy finish, hoping to find something better for him too although for untinted that one blends so easily and beautifully. Block Star transfers on a mask though; if my kids don't blend well, it can be streaky. It does cast orange too. Interested to try the MyChelle. I decided against EltaMd and Drmtlgty because of the chemical sunscreen component and our sensitive skin issues. I always end up using the sunscreen fails for my kids.
Hi!! LOVE the video, I'm obssessed with skincare but sunscreen is my everything, because my skin is really picky and doesn't like every sunscreen I really experiment a lot with them, trying to find a mach for my skin taste. Because my skin is really light I normally don't try tinted sunscreens, but after this video I'm willing to try out. Actually I found my perfect sunscreen because of one video that you did, I think last year, where you talked about, la roche posay Anthelios Ultra light cream , and I bought it shortly after the video, and my GOD , my skin loves it until today, is the only sunscreen that it feels confortable under make up or without and absorves super fast and no white cast, it's amazing, I really love it. Thank you so much for your advice, and keep doing the videos, I see all of them and I love it each time. Stay safe!! ❤
Yay! I was wondering if you had tried the Chelle sunscreen…glad to see you like it!..I use the light to mix in to some other darker sunscreens as well as on its own!
Australian gold tinted mineral sunscreen in the medium shade is my favorite during the summer. I love the formulation, that it is mineral based, and the tint works well for me in summer. I appreciate the review you has last year! I also have the Josie Marian argon tinted sunscreen, also mineral based, but it is too peachy for my olive undertone. I had a sample of the untinted version, also mineral based and spf 47, and I recall it managed to blend into my skin easily without white cast. My skin leans dry (very dry in winter sometimes) so the Josie Maran is more hydrating like a moisturizer vs the Australian gold is more like a primer or bb cream
A lot of reviews say that the Australian gold tinted mineral sunscreen in medium turns orange rather than a nice olive shade which put me off. Is this true? I’m a lightmedium depth with olive undertones and I have trouble finding something that isn’t pink, peach or orange xx
This is exactly the content I wanted! I'm searching for a tinted sunscreen with high SPF. Furthermore, people don't usually comment about the products you mentioned in your video. Tinted sunscreen that are usually mentioned are Tower 28, Bareminerals Complexion Rescue and Supergoop. However, the first two don't fully protect against UV, the SPF is too low, and to get the adequate SPF for sun protection, one needs to use one and a half teaspoon; that should look dreadful, due to so much product applied hahaha! Thanks for the in depth scientifical explanation regarding skincare and UV protection. Also, showing us the performance of each product on your face. It must take a very long time to record videos like this and much editing. Thank you very much for this excellent content, Abbey! You have got a new subscriber, darling! P.S.: Can you do a video about the new formula and supposed efficacy of Supergoop CC Cream, please?
Thanks so much for the comparison! I like the cool tint of the Elta MD UV Physical but it's a bit too light for my skin so I often wear the MyChelle over top and then it's perfect!
Great video, thank you so much! The thing I’m struggling with the most right now is sunscreen stains! Sunscreen gets all over the collars of my shirts, my fiancé’s shirts…tinted or untinted, mineral or chemical, everything seems to leave a mark. Do you have any advice? Any sunscreens you use that don’t leave stains? Or advice for getting the stains out? Thank you so so much!
For a guy. I really don’t want to look for something shiny. Still looking for something more natural / matte. That doesn’t look like make up. Think I’ve tried > 8 by now. Wish they had smaller trial bottles. The search goes on. Great video.
That version of EltaMD is the best for oily skin I purchased all of them and the one you have in this video is the only one that doesn’t leave me with “the dewy” look which i do not want
I dont know if this has ever been mentioned. But I would really appreciate if you put makeup you wear in each video in the description box as well. Just a thought. I always love your makeup!
Hi. I am fair and cool toned and every tinted sunscreen leans warm and is too deep. Did you also notice a warm tone with this one? I might skip it if so. TY!
Same, it's my 1st try for tinted sunscreen and i love it until now. My skin is combination where oily on the t zone and dry on the cheeks area, and i have acne sensitive skin, but that sunscreen does not irritated myskin at all
Can you test out Skin Better Science? Their skincare is seriously the most INCREDIBLE products I have ever used!!! I have never tried their sunscreen but I think you would LOVE their products!
I think I'm going to try the Mychelle. Your channel really turned me on to tinted sunscreens, but I find that it is almost impossible to get my hands totally clean after applying them. It's really hard to wash the tint off. But I keep getting drawn back in by these reviews!
i enjoy mychelle on my third bottle. australian gold tint too i’m oily ! some solid oil makeup cleanser balms like heimish 💖or the more expensive clinique take the day off .. at the end of day removes all makeup and removes all sunscreen easily. it melts into your skin removing all i follow with a second cleanse of QV gentle liquid cleansing soap.
I'm excited to try MyChelle as Australian Gold in fair is WAY too deep and semi orange on me. I use an IT Skincare brush to apply my Tinted Sunscreens sometimes. Yes I have to use slightly more product but it's worth it to me especially when I'm in a hurry and don't want residue on my hands. I think it's #704 sold at Ulta which I love for this
I alternate between the Colorscience original when the weather is normal or in am, Elta UV Physical for when it’s more humid, & Australian Gold for the hottest, most humid weather and beach.
I have olive Asian skin and colorescience flex medium is too dark for me, while Elta md uv element is too light for my skin. The 2 shades mixed together is perfect even though I’m not suppose to mix them. I just think they are beautiful together for me.
Could you please talk about Rosemary water? I was really afraid to try Rice water because of my hair porosity and i saw that rosemary was another option but i would really love to hear what you think about it. ♥️♥️
Abbey I adore your videos. You are my skin twin and I appreciate your knowledge!!I noticed you put on 2 applications in every sunscreen- is that what we are supposed to be doing? Woopsies! How long do you wait for it to soak in between applications? Thank you!!
Yes 2 applications to get the level of protection on the bottle. Lots of people think a little goes a long way with tinted sunscreen but not if you want full protection
You are my HERO!!! 🤣 EVERY and I mean EVERY tinted sunscreen I've tried even in "fair" leans way too dark, orange, or too warm. So far the only one that I've found that works for my hella fair cool undertone is the Sunbum Mineral Tinted so I am excited to try this. I've never heard of Neostrata. Is that a US brand? I shall have a look. TYSM for the rec!!! 😊
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup Yes, it's a US brand, they also make Exuviance Sheer Daily Protector spf50, which has the same ingredients for a higher price. I know what you mean, it's a nightmare to find a suitable sunscreen for extra fair cool undertone!
I could not wear the Mychelle at all…..it dried my skin out no matter how moisturized I was underneath it. And it pilled so badly I could not make it work at all.
The mychelle untainted version I found to be more moisturizing. I have combo/oily skin so loved the tinted. Never ever had it pill, I wonder if it's what you're using underneath? I normally give my skincare a minimum 5min before applying my SPF
Same, I thought my face was peeling under makeup, but it was Mychelle tinted sunscreen. I love the dropper and tint, but the product drags on the face if you don't rub it in quickly, and makeup over it makes it muddy and pill.
I love Mychelle.. although I am dryer skinned and it feels dry on my skin. I am wondering if you noticed a strong smell with Mychelle? Great video. I think I’m trying another after Mychelle. Leaning towards ColorScience.
I feel like the Mychelle is a bit too dry for me too. I like that it dries down so fast. I have the Colorscience too. I like it & it is not as drying on me but it takes a super long time to dry down on me. I always have to use a powder on top so I am not sticky.
I also use MyChelle and I definitely notice the unpleasant smell! Thankfully it dissipates, but when I first started using it I didn't know if I could handle it! I'm also using Cotz Prime and Perfect tinted. It's ok, but still on the hunt.
This was really helpful, thank you. I was wondering whether the Flex would be too orange, but seems OK. Will get it next when I'm done with the original one. Thank you, Abbey for your great informative and useful videos. You work hard! Going to make your mocha smoothie this week and will think of you and your spf recs fondly, lol. Have a great week everyone and God bless!
@@DC-pr2bq yes, I used that one first and it does match nicely! I find with reapplication it gets a little too dark on me, and the finish is quite wet. My HG is the Murad City Skin which has higher UVA protection and better color match (and more sheer)
Most of the tinted sunscreens are too dark and look orange on me. I've been wanted to try the colorescience flex but it's been sold out for a few weeks.
Try the Elta UV Physical. I always describe it to people as “the tinted sunscreen for fair-skinned folks”. The tone is not orange at all. Super neutral.
I’ve been using Almay My Best Light in pale(100)… it seems to be a dupe for colorscience and not orange at all. I have a pink undertone. BUT it’s only spf 15 😭. It’s so pretty and matte/satin and really stays put.
@@MammaTaft oh man! I will have to check that out. I LOVE the Colorscience original. Thanks for the tip! Also, if you like that Colorscience formula & feel, the Cetaphil spf 50 liquid mineral sunscreen is almost an exact dupe as far as feel, tho of course it is untinted. It def leaves a bit of a white cast, but I wonder if you could use it w the Almay to bump up the spf protection?
I’m very fair as well, even the lightest shade of the new Australian Gold is too dark for me, but I found the Sun Bum tinted mineral sunscreen is perfect! It’s very lightweight, seems airy and whipped and applies so easily. They only have the one tint, but you could give it a try, it’s my favorite!!!
Hi Abbey, regarding Colorscience, I'm olive complexion. Should I go with medium or tan? I don't want it to be to light. Thanks for your help. I've worn the tinted Elta before and it dried down fine color wise.
Hi Abbey, I’m new to your channel. I’m also have a fair skin tone and find it hard to find the right shade. Ty for this informative presentation really helped. What are your thoughts on Suntegrity Sunscreen Tinted Moisturizer. Btw your last sunscreen looked stunning on you very pretty.
I definitely want to try the flex sunscreen to see if does better than my Australian sunscreen. I lean more dry year around and it seems the flex might help at least keep my skin moisturize and not cake up. I tried buying it and it is out of stock :( hopefully I can get my hands on it soon
Definitely look into La Roche Posey. They have several matte sunscreens. I'm actually testing out a few of them rn. I just tried their primer sunscreen that leans matte but isn't super matte or drying if that makes sense. They have 2 other ones that are supposed to be more matte, those are the ones I'm trying. Really Really like that primer one on it's own or under makeup. And it doesn't pil! I like it better than the new PTR Max Clear that I reviewed (even tho I love that one) bc the PTR is more satin, I have oily dehydrated acne prone skin with a lot of redness
That's my favorite for fair cool skin! I don't think she'd like it as she has a warm undertone. All of these are too deep and warm for me but not Sunbum. Love that one!
I have tried all of these, the only one that didn’t pull warm on me was Mychelle, just wish it wasn’t so matte. Do you know of others that are cool or neutral tone that don’t pull matte?
I run into the same issue. Fair and cool toned. My favorite is the Sunbum Mineral Tint. It leans pink and is actually fair. Highly recommend. It's matte but not drying like I've heard MyChelle can be. Although I just picked it up to try too
The universal shades are always too dark for me - Elta MD, DRMTLGY, Australian Gold... I give up on the universal tints. I do like the Mychelle and the CS Flex though!
Have you tried the UV physical from Elta? Not dark or orange at all. All of those you listed are too dark for me except that one. I can’t wear any of Elta’s tinted tho. Way too orange and dark
i tried the colorscience flex and it was so nice until it caused me contact dermatitis. c12-15 alkyl benzoate was the cause of dryness and red irritated bumps. really hard to tellwhat it was until I researched further. I am very observant of skin reactions and It is a shame because I really like other products from colorscience and use them regularly.

DRMTLGY has a new once this video that's a Physical/natural screen. It's a little more satin, which suits my aging skin better, as mattes tend to accentuate wrinkles.
Colorscience is the best! I only wear all mineral sunscreen.
Will probably oxidize to medium orange 😅
as an oily gal I really appreciate your sunscreen reviews 🧡 I don't trust anyone else to not end up as a greaseball

Abbey your makeup is FLAWLESS in this video
Hi Abbey, I love DRMTLGY. It is so nice on my skin.
Hey Abbey, have you tried Paula’s choice tinted spf? I’d be curious on your thoughts. Thank you 🙏
For people who think elta md elements is too dark, the elta md physical has a lighter tint.
That’s fantastic to know… thank you 😊
Is the physical one more drying?
@@jenk4443 no it isn’t drying and I reapply it throughout the day and it wears well plus it is water resistant
So good!!
I love tinted sunscreens 🧴
My all time favourite is the Australian Gold tinted.
Is the All Good as difficult to remove as the Australian Gold?
@@ProcrastinatorsAnon No, but you still need to double cleanse though.
I use Ultra Violette Lean Screen, Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face and Elta MD UV physical love them
Thanks Abby...I really like Drmtlgy, ColorScience, and Alastin:)
I love tinted sunscreens! And you are so awesome at reviewing them! Happy Sunday Abbey 🥳 🥳 ❤️🎉
That’s the first one she reviewed called MyChelle
I’ve done it too but… just be aware mixing sunscreens is not recommended 🥰
Great Video thank you! I'd love it if you'd list all the products you're wearing, especially your lip color!
Your hair is so beautiful! 😊
Since you're supposed to use 1/4 teaspoon of sunscreen on your face, I drop the Mychelle sunscreen directly into the teaspoon and work from that.
You need to try the bliss blockstar!! $20 at target!!
🇾🇪🇾🇪🇾🇪🌹✈️✈️👰👰👰🙏
Perfect timing! I was just looking for tinted sunscreen! You always come up with video content when I need it the most! Thank you!
i just discovered you & you are my new fav channel!!
Enjoy the great Sunday, Abbey!❤️
That version of EltaMD is the best for oily skin I purchased all of them and the one you have in this video is the only one that doesn’t leave me with “the dewy” look which i do not want
I dont know if this has ever been mentioned. But I would really appreciate if you put makeup you wear in each video in the description box as well. Just a thought. I always love your makeup!
Ya!
Abbey, thank you so much! I need to find the first one, hope it is available here in Germany
Thank you!!!
You should do a beach day hair care/after.
The CS flex looks perfect on your skin... like it was made for you! 😊
Abbey! I love your reviews. Do you have anything on on hair removal? Devices, products, aftercare tips, etc.
Yay so glad! I don’t use anything right now 😊
The CS Flex (fair) blends really well with my skin and I have been enjoying it so far.
Yay! So glad
Hi. I am fair and cool toned and every tinted sunscreen leans warm and is too deep. Did you also notice a warm tone with this one? I might skip it if so. TY!
🤔🤔How does tinted sunscreen work throughout the day when we are to reapply every 2hrs?
My tinted sunscreen is Australian Gold. I wear Fair-Light. It’s a physical screen with an SPF of 50.
Do you have acne prone skin? Did you get any acne? Let me know please
Same, it's my 1st try for tinted sunscreen and i love it until now. My skin is combination where oily on the t zone and dry on the cheeks area, and i have acne sensitive skin, but that sunscreen does not irritated myskin at all
Hello Abbey,
Loved the review. Do these sunscreens affect the wear of your eye make up?
I think it's #704 sold at Ulta which I love for this
😁
I have repurchased the Mychelle one many times I like it a lot I wish it came in more Tints though
It’s a favorite of mine too. 🥰
@@cupiedoll9759 Yemen 💐
Have you tried Cetaphil Redness Relief tinted sunscreen? I just purchased it and I am really loving it.
Yes I love it as a second layer on top of untinted sunscreen 😊
That one burned my skin.
The last one matched the best
Could you please talk about Rosemary water? I was really afraid to try Rice water because of my hair porosity and i saw that rosemary was another option but i would really love to hear what you think about it. ♥️♥️
Abbey I adore your videos. You are my skin twin and I appreciate your knowledge!!I noticed you put on 2 applications in every sunscreen- is that what we are supposed to be doing? Woopsies! How long do you wait for it to soak in between applications? Thank you!!
I think she was trying to show how much coverage you can build by applying 2 coats.
Yes 2 applications to get the level of protection on the bottle. Lots of people think a little goes a long way with tinted sunscreen but not if you want full protection
I think Neostrata Targeted Sheer Physical SPF50 it's similar to Colorescience, but much more affordable and better shade for fair cool undertones.
Neostrata sell in mainland China
Love your videos ❤️
Would you please consider reviewing the brand Naked Sundays.
Thank you 😘
Thank you! ♥️ I’ll add it to my list 😊
I could not wear the Mychelle at all…..it dried my skin out no matter how moisturized I was underneath it. And it pilled so badly I could not make it work at all.
I couldn't either. It didnt set on my skin nicely at all
It is drying….can’t wear it everyday
The mychelle untainted version I found to be more moisturizing. I have combo/oily skin so loved the tinted. Never ever had it pill, I wonder if it's what you're using underneath? I normally give my skincare a minimum 5min before applying my SPF
Same, I thought my face was peeling under makeup, but it was Mychelle tinted sunscreen. I love the dropper and tint, but the product drags on the face if you don't rub it in quickly, and makeup over it makes it muddy and pill.
Same I have combo oily skin and it still was a mess and looked nasty on. Idk how it works for other people but not for us and that's okay.
Thank you Crystal. Did you notice a smell with Mychelle with application? It goes away but is strong at first.
@@patmartin3233 Yes! It doesn't smell very good at first. :(
I also use MyChelle and I definitely notice the unpleasant smell! Thankfully it dissipates, but when I first started using it I didn't know if I could handle it! I'm also using Cotz Prime and Perfect tinted. It's ok, but still on the hunt.
Hi Abbey, thank you so much for the comparison! I loved your lipstick, could you tell me which colour and brand it is?
You have to try the Dr. Jart+ Premium BB Beaty Balm Spf 40 !
Wish the Colorescience Flex had a shade that was actually fair! It leans a bit yellow on me and I’m very fair with cool undertones
@@DC-pr2bq yes, I used that one first and it does match nicely! I find with reapplication it gets a little too dark on me, and the finish is quite wet. My HG is the Murad City Skin which has higher UVA protection and better color match (and more sheer)
Agreed!
Try the Sunbum Mineral Tinted. I am cool and fair and it's the only one that works for my skintone 😊
@@eobrien1 thanks for the suggestion I'll look into it!
Thank you for another great video! You do a great job 👏
Thank you 😊♥️
Hi Abbey! Can you review the ColorScience TINT DU SOLEIL® SPF 30 WHIPPED FOUNDATION? Would love your opinion on it. 😊
Hi Abbey, regarding Colorscience, I'm olive complexion. Should I go with medium or tan? I don't want it to be to light. Thanks for your help. I've worn the tinted Elta before and it dried down fine color wise.
Hi Abbey,
I’m new to your channel.
Could you do the same video but for untinted formulas? I would love your advice for oily skin on the days I don’t want a tint!
Is there anything to do to not make sheer tinted sunscreens have noticeable unblended patches? Maybe Just sit and blend it a lot ig?😂
Hi, do you have a review of the colorescience glow ?
What are your thoughts on Sun Bum Mineral SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Face Lotion?
That's my favorite for fair cool skin! I don't think she'd like it as she has a warm undertone. All of these are too deep and warm for me but not Sunbum. Love that one!
Which ones would you recommend for dry skin?
I have to mix the medium and tan together to get my perfect shade
I love the colorescience sunscreens, especially the flex one and also the original sunforgettable.
I love DRMTLGY and the Mychell left me so so so dry!
Although I just picked it up to try too
have you tried the cerave one??
The universal shades are always too dark for me - Elta MD, DRMTLGY, Australian Gold... I give up on the universal tints. I do like the Mychelle and the CS Flex though!
Have you tried the UV physical from Elta? Not dark or orange at all. All of those you listed are too dark for me except that one. I can’t wear any of Elta’s tinted tho. Way too orange and dark
@@eobrien1 I haven't tried that one - thanks!
Try Paula’s choice anti-wrinkle SPF 30, the tinted on that is lighter.
Same! But Sunbum Mineral Tinted is the best for my fair cool complection. It's wonderful and only 15 bucks
i tried the colorscience flex and it was so nice until it caused me contact dermatitis. c12-15 alkyl benzoate was the cause of dryness and red irritated bumps. really hard to tellwhat it was until I researched further. I am very observant of skin reactions and It is a shame because I really like other products from colorscience and use them regularly.
Do you need to wear primer before the tinted sunscreen? I’m always curious to know 🧐
