      There are many out there doing good work, who know more than I do. They don't have time to make a video.

    Thanks Jack. Your videos are better than anything I could pay for on TV or most most industry training programs. So refreshing to see how the DIY can build to industry standards on a budget with of course "guidance" from an outstanding engineer mentor. Continue to share, you help more people than you could ever imagine.

      Thank you. I just follow what I've learned from being a motorhead since 7 years old. And I've had a blessed path that could only be explained by a guardian angel.

    Jack, ive done MANY fixes and upgrades to my 6 liter over the years, inluding an asheville longblock recently. Your rear main seal video was SUPER handy, as were a bunch of your other videos. Sometimes its just fun to watch your videos even on issues or topics my 6 liter doesnt have problems with, the way you think and the educational value your videos are not only helpful but super fun. Great video.

    I bought the black 1500lbs rotating Daytona from HF and it has been working really well.
    Great video!

    I would love to see the rebuilding videos. The current progress looks amazing. I'm sorry you lost some footage on the failed HD. However, this data may still be recoverable with a HD recovery service. Perhaps a waste of $$$, but as I own a 2006 6.0 that I plan to keep for my lifetime - I watch all of your content and am eager for more. I live in Texas, so I see no point in 'upgrading' to a newer truck with a monster payment. Your videos are best in class.

      Thanks. I reloaded on that hard drive from Time Machine and it's still screwed - Time Machine just copies what's there. So I'm not sure the big dollar service will be cost effective. YT is not sending me big bucks. I've tried several people and software, no luck so far.

    Another awesome video! But man I wish you gave more specifics on the measurements and offsets for those brackets!

    👌👌👌👌 as always!!! Beautifully done!! So clean!! Wish I had your attention to details!! Is it possible you could list a stainless spread sheet as well as a purchase location?? Thank you sir for the amazing 6.0 content!!!

      I can't give you a spreadsheet of all the different sizes. I have trays of imperial and metic bolts, like you might find at Ace Hardware or Tractor Supply, although not the same quantity, in both regular steel and stainless. So I just grab what I need as I go. I buy all my bolts from McMaster in packs - 10, 25, 50, whatever quantity they sell in.

    I like your adapter arms. Is there a chance you could post a drawing?

      I was planning on that Dana, but I have a real problem down on my farm right now, so time is limited.

    On a separate issue, what process did you use to get all of your components looking OEM new?

    • @toomanytoys
      @toomanytoys  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've done a lot of past work with Mustangs, Shelbys, and motorcycles. The stage of pure restoration to good street presence is a different technique. For something like this, a street driver, it cleaning, rust removal (Evapo-Rust) and paint. Bare aluminum will quickly oxidize, so I paint it. There are many different finishes, within a brand or different, and I just select the finish I think is appropriate. It might be auto-grade Rustoleum, or what you find at Advance.

    Love you videos, taught me alot the last couple months with my first diesel. Alot was to be learned.
    That build is very nice sir. Im in the middle of one right now.
    What did you use to wrap your harness?

    • @toomanytoys
      @toomanytoys  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I generally use one of three:
      www.amazon.com/Tesas-Advanced-Harness-51036-Mercedes/dp/B016ZMXLEI/ref=sr_1_8?crid=G88HBS68MWCF&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.nGcwXwxfPR4v7ywS32t7VLb3jCF19u8hBp9aIji6CwadB_5zmfP3Yqi9Zsq6WMPSrGZw2ej43gi39O4ye_6t78IpxlKLtv2ZjPZdBD-BWNtIBA8nUnYcz00xuXeDr5V_gOGCATtarBPWcwHW24UeyjXek_TBZCjy5hd9uqsLNZRzzZMcXymeoAxdbaP4t6p_RTDomTp-aEqaYEhvAb_f_JFlfzMyXiN3EgDVuUfOI1Q.Cb7IEQKnpS_16IuqC1zqQILwlhWioHAwQMapCU6KOPc&dib_tag=se&keywords=automotive+harness+tape&qid=1728003170&sprefix=automotive+harness+tape%2Caps%2C100&sr=8-8
      The other two are from Polyken, 268 and 277. You have to find those on eBay. If I remember correctly, what you see in the video is the Tesa tape.
